Chapter 2 - Quantum Visualisation Technique

"Aw, heck yeah! I'm totally down to learn. But is it cool if I roll with both Yin and Yang?"

[Yes, the technique would actually improve because of it.]

"So, what's the holdup? Dive in and learn that thing already!" Lin Siyu said, spamming the yes button with bright eyes.

Looking at the description of the technique, she can already guess that it will be an extremely powerful one.

[Quantum Visualisation Technique is being learnt, please wait a moment…]

After waiting for a few seconds, Lin Suyi felt a pain in her head as a bunch of knowledge got squished into her head.

Lin Siyu winced as the knowledge of the Quantum Visualisation Technique flooded her mind.

It was like her brain was expanding, absorbing the intricate details of the cultivation method.

She could feel the energy swirling within her, responding to the newfound knowledge.

As the pain dissipated, Lin Siyu's spirits were lifted with a rush of excitement.

She felt a surge of power coursing through her body as she clenched her fists.

She closed her eyes and concentrated on the image of a blooming flower, picturing its vibrant colours and delicate petals.

Almost immediately, she felt a surge of Ki energy coursing through her body, expanding at a rapid rate.

"Whoa, this is seriously awesome!" Lin Siyu exclaimed, feeling the power within her.

Lin Siyu froze for a moment and pulled up the system again.

[Items] [Skills] [To be unlocked…]

She looked at the newly gained 10 EXP and 0.2 Qi, and a smile formed on her face.

"This technique is legit a total cheat code. Kinda feel bad for the immortal who handed it over to me." She muttered and her eyes wandered around the system panel.

She noticed that the skill column that was grey was now blue.

With a simple touch on the blue skill icon, the system screen flickers and a new page appears.

[Skills]

[Quantum Visualisation Technique: Level 1 10/1000]

"Whoa, wait up! So skills actually got their own levels? And it looks like busting out a move not only earns me some base EXP to level up; but also boosts that technique itself. Epic!"

Lin Siyu couldn't help but feel a rush of excitement as she realised the potential of the Quantum Visualisation Technique.

With each successful visualisation, she could not only gain experience points but also level up the skill itself.

She closed her eyes once more, focusing on visualising a majestic bird soaring through the skies.

As she concentrated, she felt the energy within her surging, responding to her intentions.

Suddenly, the image of the bird materialised in front of her mind's eye, its wings flapping gracefully.

[Quantum Visualisation Technique +10]

The notifications popped up once again, showing her success. Lin Siyu grinned in satisfaction, feeling more confident in her abilities.

She glanced at her status screen once more, noting the small increase in her Qi level.

"Dang, I'd be crushing it in the top 500 leaderboards faster than a noob's respawn timer at this pace!" Lin Siyu gasped.

"But I'm curious, yo, how much Qi you gotta stack to level up into the realm of cultivation?" She asked the system.

[You need one Qi to enter the first realm of Qi Refinement Period.]

"Gotcha! So, like, what's the deal with grinding those levels then? What's the lowdown on levelling up, anyway?"

[Levelling up will unlock system features and you'll have an extra 1 point across the board for some stats.]

[You also gain one free attribute point to spend, so use it wisely!]

Lin Siyu nodded.

She got the basic of the system down, and now it's time to face her 'family' that she doesn't even know.

But before she does so, she wants to at least enter the Qi Refinement Realm.

"I'm gonna dominate as the ultimate gamer, uh, I mean, the top-notch cultivator, and snag that first-place spot!" She muttered to herself.

Her eyes blazing with fire, she sat Criss Cross on her bed; she meditated for two hours until her eyes fluttered back open.

[Congratulations on entering the first stage of the Qi Refinement Realm.]

Lin Siyu closed her eyes and inhaled deeply, feeling the energy of her surroundings coursing through her veins.

"Whoa, is this the vibe of being a cultivator? Pretty darn rad, I must say."

With a beatific smile, she rises from her bed and prepares herself to meet her new family.

"Ugh, not sure if I'll vibe with these peeps. I mean, I hijacked their kid's body without 'em even knowing." She said, realising that this task is much harder when she put some thought into it.

"What's a gal gamer like me know 'bout relationships and all that jazz? Might as well go hunt for god."

She let out a deep sigh, feeling overwhelmed as she tried to think of a way to meet her sisters and brother.

"Damn, what's that stench?" she remarked, giving it a whiff.

"Oh shit, it's my own sweat!" she blurted out.

In a hurry, she grabbed a pair of clothes from the side and rushed to the washroom.

Upon entering, she noticed that there was no shower, only a bathtub.

She froze for a second and realised that she came here on pure muscle memory of the original body.

She also realised, considering that she's in the world of cultivation, things like showers don't exist, and only baths are used.

"Hey, I could use a nice hot bath to cool my head off." She said, taking off her clothes and entering it.

As she soaked in the warm water, she couldn't help but let out a relaxed sigh.
