After waiting for twenty minutes a black sedan appeared at the pickup zone of the school and Kilin walked over to the car and got in. She was tired of people giving her sneaky glances while whispering.
"Hey honey, how was your day," said Mary Lee looking at her daughter in the rearview mirror.
Kilin placed her school bag in between her legs before ruffling her younger brother's hair.
"Horrible," she said
and Raylan just had to chime in.
"Oh, so you two broke up alre- mmm mm," he said and his mouth was covered by Kilin. For a moment the little brat couldn't breathe.
"He is talking nonsense," she said with a nervous smile before slowly letting him go.
"Don't talk nonsense," she mouthed and Mary Lee heaved an eternal sigh. She knew the break-up would hurt now but it would save her from a lifetime of pain.
When the car came to a stop at the red light she picked up a package from the front seat and tossed it at the back in Kilin's hands. Kilin caught it and asked, "What is this?"
"Your uncle said you have been expecting the package for a while. He said I should give it to you since he won't be back for two days," she explained and Kilin's eyes were beaming.
She was so excited that she ran into the house the moment the car stopped.
"Hey... You have to help me with the groceries! This girl," said Mary Lee and Kilin ran back outside carrying the groceries from the boot of the car. Like a warehouse loader and offloader on a time limit, she offloaded everything quickly and ten minutes later she had her bedroom door closed pulling the package apart.
What was she so excited about? This was her new cosplay outfit of Lady Kigyn, a demi goddess with water element skills from her favourite game.
She had cosplayed characters like Lady Sif another demi goddess and Sif an assassin from the game the same game Heroes of Terra. She uploaded pictures of her in cosplay on social media platforms and would occasionally live stream or accept requests to earn extra money.
Her main interest though was live streaming while playing games. It's just that she couldn't do it as often as she had a time cap set by her mother so she wouldn't lose herself in playing while not studying.
She took up the package like a baby after getting their first Christmas present but she wasn't playing with the gift wrapper. She was more interested in the contents.

Keele was busy kneeling at her bathtub washing her cat when the phone rang. The once white cat now resembling a rainbow cat after getting acrylic paint all over its fur hissed in dissatisfaction.
Keele hissed back at it before requesting her ai assistant on her phone to pick it up. The call was soon answered and Kilin was met with the image of the ceiling bathroom. "Hey, what's happening?"
Keele held the cat down that was about to make a great escape and replied, "Mr Business had a little accident. Instead of chasing the rat that entered the house, he was running away from it and the coward ran into my mother's paint. Now my mum is pissed and there is paint everywhere. My cat is my problem so I have to bathe him."
Kilin chuckled lightly her depressed mood from earlier vanished into thin air. As though dissatisfied with his business being put out there the cat splashed water at Keele and she could swear she felt fur in her mouth.
She momentarily loosened her grip but Mr Business gave her the business and slipped away straight out of the bathroom.
Keele tried to stop him but even she knew she was doomed. There was really no use in trying.
She picked up the phone and was about to complain when she saw the outfit hanging at the back. "AAAAAHHHHH!!! It's so pretty," she exclaimed. She wasn't as good at playing Heros of Terra like Kilin but she loved dressing up like the champions in it.
"I know what I am doing tonight. I have all my make-up and purple wig eeeeh, I can't wait," she screamed and Keele joined in screaming like squealing pigs.
"Keke!!!" screamed Keele's mother after Mr Business started staging a protest in her study again.
"Okay, I got to go. Let me know when you are going live. I will be the mod and ban the creeps."
Kilin excitedly hung up the video call and glanced around her room. When she spotted her retractable make-up organiser box she dashed over and carried it to her vanity desk and the LED light in her mirror lit up at her proximity. Looking at her skin she decided to wash it first before starting this heavy makeup.
She had already practised putting on the type of make-up that would bring her closer to Lady Kigyn's likeness. Paired with dark purple hair and blue contacts, Kilin was ready to live stream.

Bright car lights partially illuminated a modern smart villa in a luxurious estate that stood elegantly on a cliff, offering a breathtaking view of the sea at night. Designed with contemporary architecture, it harmoniously blended with the surrounding natural beauty.
Wyatt stepped out of the car clutching the straps of his school bag. Immediately when he stepped into the house he heard startling screams.
He was about to walk over there and check on his mother but his steps paused when he heard her follow that up with, "Jonny, where are you pinching? Hahaha, get off."
Wyatt rolled his eyes and grabbed the bag he had put on the kitchen counter to slip away from them.
"Sir, they have been waiting for you. Would you want to at least say hi," said the butler sensing that he was about to disappear to his room again.
"I am tired," he said and turned to go upstairs but like a hawk his father spotted him.
"Wyatt!" he called out and Maira his mother turned to look in the direction of the stairs. She got up with a wine glass in her hand and hugged him.
"Oh, my poor baby. Did you miss me?"
Ever since the day he was born, Wyatt knew he was the third wheel. His parents were the type to lose themselves in their sweet romance and he would be given to the nanny. Plenty of times he had come home and found them gone without a word when he was young enough to know they left him. They would be posting pictures at some beach somewhere.
"Mum, I am fine. I am going to my room. I have a lot of assignments to catch up on," he said and her face drooped.
"Can't you have dinner with your mum?" she complained and Wyatt patted her arm before saying,
"I really can't. You can have a candlelight dinner just the two of you." He glanced at his dad who also smiled at him.
"Okay, go get some work done but this weekend you have to go shopping with me," she said and Wyatt was a little disappointed. He honestly thought she would spot his lie after saying that. He had just started school today so what assignments did he have?
