Chapter 75 - Coming back

Kann breathed a sigh of relief as the Dark Pirate's ship approached the base. It had been a long and tiring journey, but she was eager to see her crew again...

Chloe and Charles stood beside her, their eyes widening as they took in the sight of the pirate base...

Kann smiled at their reaction, happy to have brought them on this adventure

As they docked, the crew was waiting for them at the pier...

Kann stepped off the ship first, with Chloe and Charles following close behind....

The crew greeted them warmly, with hugs and pats on the back.

"Welcome back, Vice Captain," one of the crew members said.

"We missed you."

"It's good to be back," Kann replied, smiling. "I've brought some new recruits with me."

The crew members turned their attention to Chloe and Charles, nodding in greeting...

Kann noticed that they were eyeing the octopus curiously, and she braced herself for their reaction.

"This is our new crew member,"

Kann said, gesturing to the octopus.

"He was injured, and I couldn't just leave him behind."

"But how did such a big creature get so badly injured?" one of the crew member asked

"Ohh...it was me who injured him"

kann replied without a single hint of any emotion.

The crew members looked skeptical, but they didn't argue.

Kann could tell that they were wary of the octopus, but she was determined to prove that she had made the right decision....

...

As they approached the base, Prince, the captain of the Dark Pirates, was waiting for them.

He noticed the unusual tub with them and gestured towards it.

"What's that?" he asked, squinting to get a better look.

"It's an octopus," Kann replied.

"He is Brave and have some brains...

he was injured by that bomb of yours..

but I brought him with me."

Prince raised an eyebrow.

"It's huge. And injured, you say? Let me take a look."

Kann nodded and stepped aside as Prince approached the tub....

He carefully examined the creature, noting the extent of its injuries.

"It's going to take some work to heal these wounds," Prince said.

"But we'll do our best. Bring it ashore, and we'll get started."

The crew quickly moved into action, unloading the octopus and bringing it to a makeshift treatment area on the pier.

Prince and his team set to work, carefully tending to the creature's injuries.

"So expensive...well buy it, and is there anything to make him my pet?"

...

As Kann and others made their way back to the fort, Kann explained to Chloe and Charles how the crew worked and how they had to treat each other like family....

She also gave them a detailed tour of the ship, pointing out the different areas and explaining their functions....

Chloe was fascinated by everything she saw, and Charles listened attentively, nodding every now and then.

When they got back to the fort Kann showed Chloe and Charles to their rooms and assigned them their first tasks as new crew members....

Chloe was tasked with helping in the kitchen, while Charles was assigned to wait for prince to finish his work, meanwhile he can roam the fort...

...

"Alright he should be fine now...he just need time to heal..."

Slowly but surely, the crew members started to warm up to the octopus.

They brought him food and water, and even started giving him a few toys to play with. Kann watched with pride as her crew rallied around their new member, and felt grateful to be a part of such a tight-knit group.

Over the next few days, the crew members grew more comfortable with the octopus. They started joking around with him and playing games, and even gave him a name: Ink. Kann and Prince watched from a distance, feeling a sense of relief that Kann's decision to bring Ink on board had been the right one.
