Chapter 9 - A Good Deal

The next day.

Stell and Felix woke up. For the first time in a while, they weren't able to brush their teeth.

Agonizing at the fact that they were in a new world, they headed for old man Hyun's restaurant in the north district.

Because they had slept for eleven hours, Stell and Felix had to run to the north district to meet Aaron.

"What do you plan on making him do?" Felix asked Stell.

"You'll see." Stell grinned, enjoying Felix's curious reaction.

After a while, they reached the restaurant. "System, what time is it?" Stell asked as he entered, hoping that he didn't make Aaron wait.

[ Current time in your zone: 11:35 ]

"Phew. It was close." He sighed a breath of relief. After entering the restaurant, he asked the waiter.

"Can I get a towel, please?" His sweaty face and lack of breath made the waiter immediately nod.

"Hey? Are those people Treat Kingdom citizens?" Stell asked after finding a seat and wiping his face.

"Who knows." Felix only shrugged, making Stell add. "I guess it really doesn't matter."

While they waited, Stell hesitated slightly before asking Felix. "Hey. What do you think about eternal life? I mean, we are basically immortal now as long as we advance."

"I like it. I can always explore more and learn new things. This new planet and power make me excited." Felix casually answered while looking around the restaurant, noticing many intriguing people.

"What about your family? What if the people around you start dying? What if-" Before Stell could finish his sentence, he was stopped by Felix.

"I don't care about that. If I want someone to live, I'll just make them advance. If they don't, I'll respect their choice. As for my family... we aren't close." Felix casually replied as his eyes lit up upon noticing a person with a tail.

Just as Stell wanted to continue arguing, he heard Felix whisper. "Hey, isn't that a tail? It's so cool! How did he get it?"

Stell immediately turned around and saw the person. Indeed, he had a tail.

"I don't know, but it's truly incredible. He probably wished for it or is of a higher order." Stell whispered back.

"You can do that?" Felix's eyes lit up.

"They did say that we could wish for anything." Stell mumbled, unsure.

"Hey, what achievements do you have? I am not sure what kinds of wishes to wish." Felix wanted Stell's opinion.

"High-Tier Rare Rank and Low-Tier Rare Rank." Stell answered him.

Felix looked slightly confused before laughing. "I have two Epic Rank achievements."

Stell's expression slightly twisted before he commented with a dejected expression. "Show off."

His expression made Felix laugh even more.

At that moment, Stell noticed Aaron entering the restaurant. After glancing around, Aaron approached them.

Taking a seat opposite Stell and Felix, he looked at the hot black coffee in front of him. With a gentle sip, he asked Stell.

"What do you need me to do?" He asked with a calm and cold voice.

After Stell took a sip of his tea, he chuckled. "Relax. It's nothing serious. Let's chat for a bit for now."

His relaxed expression and absence of an answer made Aaron furrow his brows.

"Let's properly introduce ourselves. Again, I am Stell, and this is Felix. Just like you, we are new exiles. I am from planet Earth, and Felix is from Gaia."

"Aaron. From red planet." Aaron replied, unsure where Stell was getting at.

After taking another sip, Stell continued. "What do you plan on doing next? Will you play more games in order to gamble with your wishes, or will you go out into the world and get wishes from there?"

"I'll earn from the platform." Aaron replied without thinking.

"Earn? What arrogance. Aren't you on a losing streak?" Stell probed, hoping for confirmation from Aaron.

"It was a fluke. Next time, I won't lose. I have my ways." Aaron calmly replied, unbothered by Stell's provocation.

His answer made Stell almost sure that he had some kind of a cheat.

'At the very least, he has some kind of secret. I shouldn't antagonize him.'

"Sure then. By the way, what do you think of the black coffee?"

"It's not bad." Aaron commented.

"See? I also think so! I don't know why Stell doesn't like it." Felix commented from the side.

"Because he is weak." Aaron smirked.

"What? How am I weak just because I don't drink coffee?! Also, don't forget that I won last time." Stell immediately started arguing.

"It was a fluke. Also, it was two-on-one." Stell hit Aaron's weak spot.

"Really? You're counting a bloody egg?" Stell raged.

"It countered my summon perfectly!" Aaron didn't back down.

"It's an egg! Dammit!" Stell didn't let Aaron feel superior.

"Yeah? Do you dare to fight in real life?" Aaron provoked back, dropping the game subject.

"You think that I don't dare to?!" Aaron's provocation finally worked on Stell.

"HAhahahahahha." Felix laughed from the side, attracting the attention of both of them.

"You really are acting like long-time friends." He wiped the tear from the corner of his eye.

"Shut up!" Both Stell and Aaron yelled.

After the situation calmed down slightly, Aaron demanded a request from Stell.

"You already fulfilled it." Stell smirked.

"What?" Aaron's eyebrows furrowed even further.

"I said that you already fulfilled it." Stell calmly replied.

"If you don't explain, I might skin you alive." Aaron snorted.

Felix smiled. "Hey, you already did it. What more do you want? Do you like being in debt? I happen to lack an errand boy."

His smirk left both Aaron and Stell speechless. After regaining his composure, Aaron stood up and left Stell and Felix.

"Goodbye, cool guy!" Stell waved at him together with Felix.

"Hey, do you think that he has a cool guy complex or eighth-grade syndrome?" Felix asked, not minding the volume of his voice.

"He does resemble a chuuni." Stell nodded.

Aaron, who still hadn't left the restaurant, felt his eye twitch. 'Damn, these guys.'

After Aaron closed the door, Felix asked Stell, almost whispering. "So? Why did you let him off the hook? You could have earned a Rare Rank achievement or something of equal value!"

Although Felix didn't lack Rare Rank achievements, it didn't mean that he didn't feel pain for letting one slip away.

"I may have lost a Rare Rank achievement, but I have gained something much greater." Stell casually replied while sipping his tea.

Seeing Felix's puzzled expression, Stell elaborated.

"I gained a System user's friendship. Hehe, isn't that much more awesome?" Stell's words shocked Felix.

"What? A System user? How do you know?" He almost shouted. Thankfully, he remembered that they were in a public place.

"I just know it." Stell smirked.

While they talked, they heard chatter from another table.

"I heard that you can make a guild once you reach Second Order. Guilds are apparently factions. In fact, Treat Kingdom is just a territory of a larger guild."

Stell's eyes lit up. After meeting two protagonists, his gears started spinning. He had an idea.
