Cried loud hoping that Zafar
Zaya cried out loud hoping that Zafar would miraculously hear her apology from where he was but Zafar was long gone and it'll be the last time she ever set eyes on him again.
Zaya sobbed for quite a while. Her eyes turned red and got swollen as she clutched her chest while crying, her breathing coming in ragged.
She glanced at the clock and realized that it was an hour left before her dinner date with Kabir and with a heavy heart, she exited her office, heading home.
"Ma'am, is there something wrong?" Sera at the waiting area asked upon noticing the change in Zaya's face.
"I'm fine." Zaya said, her voice low as she held onto her tears.
She didn't give Sera a chance to say anything more as she quickly exited. She covered her face with her hand as she began to sob profusely, heading for her car.
