Zaya sighed, then continued,
"That's the point! They are a hundred percent right! No sane person should stay in a relationship where they are not wanted." She voiced out in frustration and winced in pain afterwards.
She paused, then added, "I am a sane person but why am I still condoling Kabir's attitude even though they hurt? Leila and her friends are right and I can't blame them for it, not at all."
Sera listened, understanding the complexities of Zaya's situation.
"But you must also consider that your relationship with Kabir is not a normal one," Sera said, her voice soft and understanding. "You didn't marry him by choice. If you had married by choice then I'm certain that the Zaya I know would have definitely walked away from toxicity. It's not as simple as walking away."
Zaya was silent for a moment, then nodded slowly. "That is true."
