Chapter 53 - Type of magic!

Days before

[Onver's pov ]

I find myself standing in the middle of Raw of Human It, a place that seems to be expanding rapidly, with a dozen humans in front of me and behind me.

Two days have passed since the Interrogation, and during that time, I've gained valuable knowledge about this camp and this planet called Katha. It's a planet with five continents, but I've only learned the names of two: Bhumi and Gaia.

Bhumi, as I discovered, is a continent filled with endless stretches of sand. Interestingly, the prince leading this raid hails from Bhumi.

On the other hand, Gaia holds a significant position as the central continent, connecting all the other land masses.

The legacy battlefield where I now stand lies in the depths of the ocean, nestled between the Gaia and Bhumi continents. It's an unusual location for such a clash, surrounded by a vast expanse of water.

As I move forward in the line, I can't help but feel a sense of anticipation. It's been a long time since I've had the chance to eat normal food, and I'm hungry. Although I yearn for the taste of meat, I realize that it is not available here.

I approach the person in charge of serving the food, placing my large plate in front of them. They pour rice and soup onto my plate, and I accept it quietly. Making my way to a table, I take a seat and prepare to appease my hunger.

Sitting comfortably, I pick up a spoon and take my first bite. The flavours explode on my tongue as I taste the delicious wave of satisfaction. To my surprise, the rice tastes remarkably similar to the one from Earth, and that realization brings a sense of familiarity.

With each spoonful of rice and soup, my curiosity grows about what my next course of action should be. It's not just about satisfying my physical hunger anymore; I hunger for progress and growth within this intriguing world.

During my time here, I've learned about the different types of magic and how they can empower me. It appears that there are three distinct types:more specifically someone had explained that to me he was assigned by the prince. He explained to me three types of Magic and stages of progression.

1. Body Magic: This type of magic is practised by knights and warriors. Through the refinement of their bodies with mana, they develop a unique aura that enhances their abilities.

2. Energy Magic: Magicians or mages specialize in this form of magic. Energy magic involves manipulating mana outside the body. To harness this power, one must create a core within their body, becoming a conduit for magical energy.

3. Mind Magic or Soul Magic: The most challenging and elusive form of magic, mind magic revolves around the manipulation of one's consciousness or soul.

It allows control over the vast sea of consciousness within oneself, although it is a difficult art to master. Initially, the practitioner is limited to sensing their sea of consciousness. Over time, with great effort and practice, the applications of mind magic become valuable. The person practicing is called Oracle

As for the surrounding environment, the geology of Katha is captivating. The planet consists of five continents, each with its unique features. Bhumi is predominantly sandy, with vast stretches of desert landscape. Most of the people on it specialize in body magic. They are like knights of Bhumi,

Gaia on the other hand is located at the heart of the planet, serving as the central hub connecting all the continents. The people on it practice all three types of magic simultaneously

The battlefield where I stand is located between the Bhumi and Gaia continents Situated amid the ocean, between the Gaia and Bhumi continents, the crashing waves and endless water create a formidable backdrop for the clash of powers.

As I finish my meal, I start making my way towards the room that has been assigned to me. It was constructed by Soil, a skilled magician specializing in earth magic. Stepping inside, I observe its interior. It's not particularly spacious, resembling a small, quaint cottage.

A table takes centre stage, adorned with various cores that I need to absorb for my growth. The prince gave them to me and clearly said it was his investment in me for the future and he expected me to help him in future.

I pick up the cores and place them on the ground, taking a closer look. The pulsating veins within them remind me of the purple undead cores I've seen before, yet these possess a distinct darkness, coloured in black.

Recalling the explanation given to me earlier, I delve deeper into understanding the intricacies of magic and how it governs this world. Each type of magic presents its challenges and rewards, requiring dedication and perseverance to master. Yet, the potential to unlock extraordinary abilities and shape my destiny beckons me forward into this fascinating realm.

I find myself lost in thought, contemplating a seemingly pointless step. The idea of creating a core keeps circling my mind. It's the usual practice for mages to create a core near their heart, but I can't help but wonder if things would be different if I were to create multiple cores, each aligned with a specific profession.

One for energy manipulation, another for aura control, and perhaps even a third for delving into the depths of the soul, if it holds any energy to be contained.

As I sit on my bed, in a comfortable lotus position, I close my eyes and start to sense the mana that surrounds me. I direct my focus towards the core place beside me, visualizing its presence, and will manipulate energy.

Gradually, the core begins to emit a shimmering glow, releasing tiny particles of varied colours into the air. The once solid core transforms into a liquid-like state, hovering closer to my outstretched hand.

The first core I choose to form will rest below my navel, similar to the concept of the lower dan tian in traditional practices. I concentrate on accumulating mana in that specific area, allowing it to take shape. Slowly, a small marble-sized entity materializes, its surface radiating a deep black hue. Meanwhile, the other cores beside me complete their transformation.

A sense of accomplishment washes over me as I successfully generate a core that appears different from those of other mages. However, I can't ignore the fact that my surroundings seem to be tinged with active energy.

The field encompassing me starts absorbing the flowing mana, drawing it inward, toward my abdomen.

As the energy flows, the colouration within me undergoes a series of changes. The black core gradually transitions to shades of brown, then dark red, until finally settling on a vibrant red.

BOOOOOMMMMMMKNOCK

Suddenly, a resounding boom echoes throughout my abode, startling me. I find myself utterly unaware of what has just transpired.

KNOCK KNOCK

There's a knock on the door, accompanied by concerned voices calling out to me.

"Hey, are you alright in there? What was that tempest of energy and the subsequent blast?"

"HEY, answer us. Are you okay?"

Frustrated at my inability to respond, the voices continue their chatter.

"You idiot, he can't talk. We need to alert the mage who specializes in earth magic."

With confusion and a touch of anxiety lingering in the air, it becomes evident that something extraordinary has occurred,

I quickly ran towards the door and swiftly opened it, preventing them from breaking it down. I don't want them to break the door, do I? Perhaps I should teach them how to be quiet. Yes, I should help them. The first step would be...silencing them by cutting their tongues.

As the heavy door of my abode swings open, I see people outside panicking. Earth magician Soil stands before me, ready to demolish my abode. He casts a spell, and a torrent of mana rushes towards me.

With a swift motion, I raise my hand in a protective pose just in time. The incoming wave of mana is about to collide with me, but then a vibrant blue barrier materializes, blocking the energy.

A collective gasp escapes the mouths of the onlookers.

"Holy shit! How did he block it? Soil is ranked as a B mage, right?" one of the onlookers yelled

"And Onver was coreless just a moment ago. Did he form the core?"the person beside him also asks

"No, that's not it! He cast a barrier without uttering a spell!" another interject

"What? Silent casting?" Soil magician said

"You're right!"

Some people gather near me, their curiosity piqued.

"Hey, buddy, please tell us how you did it!"

"You made such incredible progress in a single night!"

"Yes, bro, tell us! We are comrades, after all!"

Soil, the earth mage, grows increasingly agitated and exclaims, "You bunch of dumbasses! He can't say anything!"

People begin to disperse as he directs them to prepare for the upcoming raid, which is important. I listen to their bickering, silently seething with anger.

These fools do not understand the importance of showing respect to others. I contemplate gouging out their eyes and leaving them to suffer the consequences of their insolence when someone asks them why they can't see. Their answer would be simple: "Because we no longer possess the gift of sight."

But should I go through with it?

Unbeknownst to me, my intent manifests itself in the air. A palpable chill resonates, suppressing the previously noisy chatter. People in front of me begin to sweat, their figures glistening with perspiration. Even Soil, the earth mage, has beads of sweat trickling down his cheeks.
