Chapter 59 - The boss of the island

After merging dozens of skeletons and formulating a plan to deal with Cara, I realized that I couldn't confront her face-to-face. Instead, I needed to devise a unique and potentially assassination plan.

A silent mischievous chuckle escaped my lips as I imagined the response I would receive upon succeeding. The jealous glances and the satisfaction that would emanate from the people—it would be gratifying.

Following my experiment, I silently infiltrated the ranks of the raider. It seemed that they were marching towards a castle that appeared near us, an imposing and tall structure radiating an aura of darkness, absorbing all light on the island. In the castle, the air crackled with anticipation, as if the very walls themselves held their breath in the presence of this enigmatic structure.

Cara Gustine and other higher-ranking individuals stood at the front, positioned before the castle. Above, in the castle itself, a figure floated in the air, exuding an intimidating sense of authority. Clad in a black robe.

The robe swayed gently in the air as the figure's emotionless face let out a sigh. His voice resonated with terrifying thunder, sending shockwaves that reverberated throughout the island.

The figure's presence commanded attention, a symbol of power and dominance. His mysterious aura filled the land, casting an eerie atmosphere upon all who dared to behold them. The glowing silver line on his robe seemed to pulsate with otherworldly energy, hinting at hidden secrets and ancient knowledge.

"So, the time has come!" the figure proclaimed, his voice reaching every corner of the vast land.

As if in response to his words, five figures began to appear on the battlefield, each adorned with purple hair and crimson eyes. They formed a cohesive group.

One of the newcomers spoke, addressing the person floating in the air with utmost respect. "Is it time, Lord?"

The figure nodded calmly and replied, "It is not my duty, but I will do it nonetheless. You know the rules—you can engage in a duel or fight without rules, attacking together as a collective."

Cara's voice echoed confidently, "Of course, we choose the latter."

"Hahaha," the lord let out a light chuckle. "So, you are aware of your shortcomings."

Cara simply smiled and nodded in response, but the growing aura emitted by both parties was suffocating, spreading far and wide, pressurizing the battlefield. Emanating from the lord's side, the incoming undead figures cast an oppressive force.

Tensions escalated between the two groups, both waiting for someone to make the first move—to strike or unleash

.

Finally, Guatin, who stood beside Cara, exclaimed, "Let's do this!" With a gesture, he signalled the army behind him to prepare for an attack. As Cara took her first step forward, a white fog emitted from beneath her feet, spreading and enveloping her. And the atmosphere around her.

Gustin, on the other hand, was surrounded by an expanding aura that swirled around his body, shining brilliantly. One of the raiders increased in size, transforming into a formidable fox-like creature, as their abilities spread throughout the entire battlefield.

Facing them, the five figures wore smirks of anticipation. They leapt high into the sky, and as they descended, their bodies grew larger, casting a black fog around them. Once they landed, the earth trembled under their immense power, as their formidable punches sent shockwaves through the ground.

Another member of their team charged forward, generating a tiger-shaped entity behind them, his body transformed into that of a giant. Chaos ensued as he mercilessly tore through the enemy's lines.

Yet another figure raised his head, summoning countless swords to materialize in the sky. Each sword seemed to possess unique properties, ready to rain down destruction upon their adversaries.

Meanwhile, another figure calmly walked onto the battlefield. The sound of his footsteps told a different story, as everyone in his path fell to their knees, overwhelmed by his sheer presence. The lord himself descended from above, his aura of authority forcing people to bow before him.

As Cara silently approached the lord, a towering tree materialized behind her. It served as a source of power for those within her army, infusing them with motivation and empowering their spells, resulting in a relentless flurry of magical attacks.

Finally, after a long and arduous process, Cara's transformation was complete. She stood tall and majestic, adorned in armour that seemed to materialize out of thin air. The armour encased her body, resembling a regal crown that rested upon her head. As she stood there, she exuded the aura of a Valkyrie, radiating a vibrant white light that illuminated her surroundings.

Not far from Cara, Gustin also underwent a remarkable transformation. His body became enveloped in an armour-like as if forged by the very flames of his inner power. The fiery aura emanating from him intensified, creating a captivating display of strength and determination. His armor seemed to dance with the flames, as if in perfect harmony with his fiery nature.

Cara and Gustin turned towards the lord, who had been carefree until now. He dashed towards the two figures standing before him, and his hands collided with their abdomen

Cara and Gusting, determined to protect themselves, swiftly reacted as the lord charged towards them. With impeccable timing, Lord's hands met the force of his attack, creating a powerful collision that reverberated across the battlefield.

The impact was so intense that it produced a thunderous boom, echoing through the air and causing the ground to shake beneath their feet. However, both Cara and Gusting managed to withstand the assault, effectively blocking the lord's attack.

As I witnessed the unfolding transformation and the overwhelming display of power, a sense of bewilderment swept over me. What on earth had I gotten myself into? Doubts lingered, but deep down, I knew the plan I had formulated would work, and it would do so seamlessly.

With determination coursing through my veins, I sprinted amidst the chaos of the battle, heading straight towards Cara, Gustin, and the lord. Despite the uncertainty, a small smirk adorned my lips, a mix of nerves and excitement intertwining within me.
