Chapter 27 - Volume 1 - Chapter 27: Really?

"What is it that makes you want to see me again!?" he asked angrily.

"Even tho that will not be the last time we will meet, i wanted to talk to you. After all, I bestowed my power upon you. I deserve at least this much, don't I?"

"Deserve? Deserve? The only thing you deserve is your soul burning for millions of years in the deepest layers of hell. What are you talking about, Elajiah?" Aaron shouted suddenly.

"Haha... Look at this, not only did you kill a majestic dragon like me, but you also curse me!" Elajiah replied as his aura began to rumble.

"If that's the case, then stay dead. Don't show up before me," Aaron said angrily.

That was supposed to be the case, but I gave you my child, so I felt I should at least talk to you," Elajiah said, his previous demeanor completely gone.

"What?!" Aaron shouted suddenly, unable to believe what he was hearing.

"Hmm? Haven't you noticed? The system listens to me. I am a supreme dragon, one of the mighty—I am one of the two divine children created by the gods," Elajiah said amidst laughter.

"Wait a second, what does that mean? What do you mean, my child?" Aaron continued yelling.

"You truly haven't noticed... Hahaha, what a disappointment. I feel embarrassed on your behalf," Elajiah began to laugh uncontrollably.

"How dare you...?" Aaron said, and continued speaking, "Not satisfied with taking everything away from me, you even hand me your child. What kind of devil are you?"

"It saddens me that you compare me to devils. Even if I am weaker than the gods, I am still on the same level as them—I am a sacred beast. I know what I have done to you, and I did each one willingly, but I won't beg for your forgiveness," Elajiah said, looking down on Aaron with disdainful eyes.

"Right, I can never forgive you—impossible. Even if I didn't have the memories of my past life or if I were reborn millions of times, I still wouldn't be able to forgive you.''

''I know that, like i told you i will not beg for forgiveness you filty human!'' She screamed with a powerful impact.

''So what are you trying to do by giving your child to me?'' He yelled while his voice was being even more piercing.

''A parent's fault should not pass on to the child. What i want is your protection, i won't tell you the reason yet but i will tell you that i am willing to give my own soul to you if that means i will be able to get your protection.'' Elajiah said with a sad yet powerful voice.

''Haha....HAHAHA! Are you being real? ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?! You destroyed everything! My family, my soldiers, my friends, MY WHOLE EXISTANCE...and my immortality that i thought exists.'' Aaron yelled while he was losing his mind.

''I know.'' She said with a strong yet with a calm voice.

''You don't know anything. I lost everything i care about...i lost myself.'' Aaron said within all of his emotions.

''Look kid, i am coming from a fighter race and i am proud of it. If you ask me i would do all of the things i have done till today- again. But you were able to stop me, and with that you are back- use this opportunity and create a world that you will like.'' She said with a voice that carries love.

''Why are you talking like you know everything!'' Aaron screamed in pain and suffering.

''Because i do.'' Elajiah said and continued: ''I lived a long time, more then 10 billion years- i created thousands of suns and worlds and yet destroyed the same amount of them. I saw many gods with many forms, i heard many stories with many heroes yet nobody was able to stop me till you did.'' She stared at him with the eyes of a hunter.

''What are you saying??'' Aaron said while he is shocked.

''Let me tell you something kid, something that you shall never forget.'' Elajiah said with such a serious tone.

After Aaron looked at her completely she continued:

''You do not even know what you don't know.''

''What??'' He screamed with a shocked expression.

''Look after my child, kid. I believe you are the only one who can do that- believe me you will see such a future.'' Said the almighty and strongest one, said the ''supreme dragon Elajiah''.

"Hah...hah..." Aaron woke up gasping for breath. He was sitting upright in bed, staring at unfamiliar walls. He was in a room that could be considered a perfect hotel room, standing rigidly and staring at the wall, not saying anything or expecting anything.

His only task was to think about where he was and what he was doing here when, at that moment, there was a knock on the door of the beautifully exquisite room, followed by the door opening gently:

"Lord Aaron, you have awakened," said an elderly and fit man dressed in servant's attire.

Aaron turned his head and began to observe the man, still standing upright, breathing heavily and wounded. He managed to open his mouth, however slightly, and spoke:

"Who... are you?"

Upon hearing these words, the elderly man bowed before Aaron and answered his question:

"I am Kevin, my Lord. I used to serve as a servant before all of this began. You may not have noticed, but there was a safe area near the battlefield where you fought. I was hiding there. Once you defeated the power in front of you, I came to help you," said the elderly man, using the ancient language.

Aaron naturally had doubts about these words, but still, this ever-vigilant man desired a moment of relief. As his breath stabilized, he spoke again:

"I understand. Thank you for saving me. May I ask how long I have been asleep?" Aaron approached the elderly man with respect as he spoke.

"Certainly, my Lord. You have been asleep for nearly a week. I changed your clothes and washed you. I apologize for any rudeness, but I didn't want the wounds on your body to become infected or for germs to make you sick," the elderly man said gently.

Upon hearing this, Aaron managed to smile despite the difficulty and said, "We hunters are resilient, sir. Neither a chronic illness nor a deadly one can separate us from life."

Hearing these words, the elderly man calmly and happily replied, "I am glad."

''Is it alright for me to call some people to protect here?'' Aaron asked gently.

''Certainly my lord, do as you wish please.''

''Great.'' Aaron replied.

Aaron, even though he was injured, stood with a rested body. And it was for this reason that he wanted to summon the seven youths who had "pledged" to serve him to protect this place and the elderly man who had helped him.

To do so, he activated the system, then entered the chat and forum section, and sent a message to all seven of his teammates simultaneously:

"I am staying in the safe area where I defeated the Constellation. You must come here urgently. Remember, this is an order." Aaron was already familiar with the forum, after all, this wasn't his first life—he knew everything about the system.

Just seeing this message excited and focused the seven youths on the other side. After a short time, the seven youths arrived at the entrance of the safe area.

"Let's go inside," said Camelia, and the other youths agreed. Just as they were about to open the door with their own hands, the door suddenly opened, and Kevin greeted them, saying:

"Welcome, young masters. Your Lord is inside. Please, come in."

They were quite shocked to see an old man when the doors opened yet none of them ask anything and followed the old man.

Each young person entered the room slowly and climbed the stairs to see Aaron. Just as they reached the front of the door, a commanding voice came from behind it:

"Come in!"

Hearing these words, Camelia opened the door and entered first as the leader of the group, followed by the other five.

The group standing in front of Aaron respectfully bowed before him. Seeing this, Aaron furrowed his brow and said:

"What the hell are you doing?"

Upon hearing these words, Camelia thought they had made a mistake and said aloud, "Forgive us!"

"For what? Stand up. Since when have I wanted you to bow before me?" Aaron said angrily.

Upon hearing this, Camelia found it a bit strange and said, "But you brought your servant with you, and he was treating us kindly. Shouldn't we do the same?"

Upon hearing this, Aaron was surprised and laughed before speaking, "If I had a servant, you would have known. That old man brought me here and took care of me when I was wounded. He used to be a servant before all this happened, so he is knowledgeable in these matters."

Upon hearing Aaron's words, the faces of the six young people, including Camelia, turned red, and they stood before Aaron, unable to find the right words. It wasn't an overly embarrassing situation, but they felt ashamed. They had misunderstood their master.

"I called you here because I want you to protect this building while I rest," Aaron said calmly as he addressed the young people.

"Of course, sir," Pule said audibly.

Of course, the reason Aaron called these seven young people here was not only for protection. He truly wanted to rest and enjoy this leisure time. However, every second he spent relaxing would come at a high cost, as his experience points would decrease with each passing moment. But the idea of resting felt so good to him after such a long time. Aaron truly wanted to finally experience the joy of resting.

It was indeed the case that unintentionally sleeping for seven days would allow him to level up at least 10 times. However, he had literally passed out, and on top of that, if it weren't for a man named Kevin, someone could have easily come and killed him.

Although Aaron was grateful to Kevin, he couldn't fully trust him. That's why he hoped the future would bring him good things.

Despite knowing that not progressing further would eventually become a headache for him, he also knew that a little rest wouldn't hurt. After all, one of the good sides of resting was gaining strength.

"Do you have any other requests, sir?" June suddenly asked.

After a brief moment of reflection, Aaron said lovingly, "Come and shake my hand one by one." Although the entire group didn't understand what he meant, they followed his instructions one by one. Immediately after they did so, a system notification appeared before Aaron:

"Are you sure about your choice?

YES/NO"

Upon seeing this notification, he quickly pressed "yes," and suddenly everyone's eyes widened like fortune-telling stones.

"My Lord, this is too much for us!" Pule shouted. In front of him, he held 10,000 units of points received from his master.

Without even giving the others a chance to speak, he immediately said, "It doesn't matter, I have plenty myself. I need to take good care of those under my command."

"Thank you," Nicole said.

Immediately after, Aaron made a hand gesture signaling them to leave, and everyone left the room. Only Aaron remained in the room, and instead of sitting on the bed, he lay down. He closed his eyes and chose to take a short nap.
