Well, this was it - wasn't it? He was about to die and let down everyone (again). What a joke.
For a minute there he thought he could do it.
For a small amount of time he felt confident.
For just once he felt powerful and able - special even.
...and now he was going to die just like this?
'That's perfectly Azier' they'll say. 'Leave him there to rot forever in the darkness' they'll decide and instead of in a box, he'd be crushed into a pancake by the pressure of the ocean. Fabulously painful for sure.
What of his wives, though? Surely they would be punished - if not worse. Had they even escaped the wreckage? How many could he realistically save?
Why was all of this happening? How does a ship just crash into something? Who had fucked around and now they all had to find out the consequences? Well, fuck 'em. They suck and this sucks.
