Spencer Sullivan didn't respond to Xander Hugh's words and straightened up. A few steps ahead was a trash can, where he threw his cigarette butt before walking towards the car.
A nurse chased after them from inside the hospital and stopped them from leaving. "The child's family hasn't arrived yet. You can't leave. The child urgently needs a blood transfusion. The hospital has blood matching the child's blood type, but we need a family member to sign the consent form."
The child was brought in by Xander Hugh, so the nurse stopped him and didn't notice Spencer Sullivan.
Xander Hugh thought to himself that he knew he'd be involved in this trouble. He knew he would have to deal with this. He replied to the nurse, "We're just good Samaritans who brought the child here. We're not family members."
One cannot casually sign documents at a hospital.
