The Great One responded to the voice without even looking back. "Are you here for answers?"
"Or are you here to usurp my authority?" The Great One looked back and stared at the strange god.
The god smirked, "I guess you can say I want to know, but who says I want your position?" The god put their hand on the Great One's shoulder suggestively, bringing their mouth close to the god's ear. "Perhaps I'm more interested in you.."
The Great One looked at the god's hand on their shoulder. "God of craving, I have no time for this. Tell me what you want, or make yourself scarce." The Great One said obviously displeased.
The god of craving laughed, "The god of sanctity wishes to know your position on the matter, though now I find no need to ask. Though… I have a personal question.." The god of craving sat upon the Great One's lap shamelessly.
"Do you know what has afflicted the god of emotion?" The god of craving tapped on the Great One's chest. "You must know something, you're acting far too suspicious, it's unlike you to be neutral during such a dangerous time."
The room was large and empty, the entire space was unstable and turning, but for a moment, everything seemed to stall.
"It's madness…" The Great One said. "Madness? But the god of madness, and all other related gods are…" The god of craving's voice trailed off.
"Non-existent." The Great One finished.
"Such gods are unable to exist because the god of emotion is unable to produce them. Madness is a disease, not an emotion, nor a feeling. It's called The Maddening." The Great One said as they gently pat the head of the god on their lap.
"It can affect any god… but for it to have affected the god of emotion, and for it to have gotten this bad…"
"It can only be Fate."
