Chapter 14 - Devil

Kaizer, on the other hand, refused to participate in the war. For after a decade in seclusion, had realized their goal.

"If I am cursed to live with this madness, then I shall learn to control it." They said with desire. And the beginning of this journey to discovery began in the mortal realm.

The mad god arrived in the middle of a battlefield, blood and guts made layers over the ground, and the smell of death lingered in the air. The sky was red like fire, and plumes of smoke danced their way towards the heavens.

While the war was in its last stages, the humans still fought with vigor. The god found it quite commendable.

At first, the appearance of the god went unnoticed, but after a while, the humans soon began to realized the horror that stood among them.

To the humans, Kaizer looked like a disgusting abomination. Eyes upon eyes. Many hand and legs that stuck out from the blobby form, all wiggling in glee.

"D-Devil!!!!! The Devil has come to punish us!" A soldier screamed. And pandemonium ensued on the battlefield. Humans from both sides were running away from the demonic creature. Some even got upon their knees and began praying to Salvros for salvation.

"Oh goddess Salvros, please have mercy on me." One man pleaded.

"Please, please, please, I'm so sorry for the people I've killed. Just please let me see my little Anna again." Another man begged.

Kaizer stared at the strange creatures, specifically at their forms. The male forms appealed to Kaizer, "Perhaps if I were to have a similar form…" Kaizer muttered.

But of course, Kaizer first prioritized leaving such a messy and ugly place. Walking away from the battlefield, the soldiers made way for the god. The world seemed to have stopped in that moment, as the humans held their breath, hoping that the demon would simply leave in peace.

To their relief, the demon seemed to have no interest in them, and simply left without a sound.

"To think that the devil would appear in such a place.. what have we been doing…" An injured man said, with blank eyes filled with fear.
