"Can you win against the Lich?" Ask the speaker.
"Hmmm... actually that depends. If one on one battle, my victory is assured. But if he has his guards as well it might be a tough fight. I am still new to my powers, I still haven't invented combo techniques or proper battle formation. I need people that could fight the death knights equally to help me."
The people in the entire room already knows who I was referring to.
"I will help, I already defeated one of the death knights before so I can definitely do it again." Said the Light Speed Hero.
"I'll help two, the best that I could to is to buy some time so if you slain your death knights please help me immediately." Hawk Eye said.
"I will join as well." Said the titan.
Everyone of us look at David, waiting for his reply.
He look at us with a worried look, he doesn't know if he should leave Mindanao or not since he is not sure if his father's intention is to really make him join the subjugation or just to listen in the meeting.
"Your father probably wants you to join as well that's why you are here, I'm sure of it. He doesn't have any intention of making you come here just to be present at the meeting since he can know everything that has been talk here via me." I said and he gave up.
"Then I'll join as well."He declared.
"Now that everyone has agreed to deal with the strongest of monsters, we now have to formulate a plan of action." The speaker said and revealed us a detailed plan on the screen.
"Every Hunter that decided to join the subjugation except for you will deal first with the low ranking undead until all of you enter the dungeon. Once in the dungeon, the role of the other hunters is to stop low ranking monsters to help the Knights. We will also assigned all B-rank and A-rank that will participate to deal with the monsters on their level. While you guys deal with the S rank monsters."
The plan is quite solid if we put it like that actually. However they forget the fact that our enemy likes battles with many low to mid ranking enemies.
I raised my hand and stood up. All eyes are on me at this one.
"Actually I think it is very dangerous to have many hunters join the subjugation mission. If someone there get killed the dead hunters can easily be turned into undead by the Lich and will turn against us. It's better if we think of other method that will not involve bringing a lot of hunters." I said and Halk Eye immediately stood up as well.
"I think what our Guardian said here is true. I have a skill that could eliminate enemies that are below B rank. If I use that, I will probably be able to lessen the numbers of the enemies." Christine suggested.
"It was a nice idea but that attack consumes a lot of mana right? You still have a job of stalling one of the 4 death knights. If you are low in mana you will put your life in danger. Could you replenish your mana immediately using mana stones?" The speaker asks.
"It would probably take me a few minutes like less than 5 minutes probably to absorb mana and replenish mine from mana stones." Hawk eye replied.
"That's not good. During that valuable time, the Lich will become vacant and would be able to revive his fallen army. We need to deal with the weaklings while keeping the Lich busy enough not to revive his army."
Suddenly the Titan stood up as well.
"Cant we just lure the undead army using Taunting Skills? We don't have to fight them we just make them stay away. Surely it's feasible." He suggested.
I think it's a very risky gamble, the Lich is a sorcerer like me, he probably could make his army resist the taunting skills and make them attack us when we are low in mana.
"Although it's a good strategy but we don't know how much magic can the Lich perform. I remember that Archie could perform support spells, if we put the Lich in the same category as him, then that Lich could also perform support spell to his minions like -Abnormal effect resistance- or -Mental defense buff-. If that is possible it is very likely that they would ignore the urge to follow the taunting skills and instead they will follow the will of their boss Lich."
David interjected with his own insights, he thinks similar to me.
"I agree, to what David said. The Lich could probably give buffs to his minions to be able to resist Taunting Skills." I added.
"Do you have any suggestion Archie? If you think that the Lich has the same abilities as you then can you tell us it's possible weaknesses?" The speaker ask.
Everyone returned to their seats except for me.
"I can do my Thunder Storm spell that you saw before in Marinduque while making all my allies unaffected by my magic and still be able to fight the Lich."
Everyone was shocked at my revelation.
"Are you sure Mr. Archie? If you talk like that but unable to do it, it will endanger everyone." The speaker worriedly said.
Some people who are in my position would probably get offended by her words and the people around me who are listening to my words are probably thinking that I am just here to show off, but actually won't be able to pull off what I just said. Specially David, who is a mage as well, he probably knows how hard maintaining and controlling 1 spell already. But I can understand where they all coming from. After all, the validity of my words and actual capability will decide their life and death in the upcoming battle.
"I can do it, I am not a irresponsible person. I'll tell you what I can and what I cannot do so don't worry. But I won't be able to maintain it for a very long time. I'll probably run out of mana if I maintain it for 3 hours, but considering that I still have to fight the Lich while maintaining that, the duration of my spell will be shorten the more spell I use to fight the Lich."
Actually my words is actually true if I don't have my items on me but if I have them I will be able to do it for much longer.
"I see, then can you maintain it longer if we use Mana stones and Cores?" She asks.
"Definitely." I responded immediately.
"Can you absorb them faster that Hawk Eye here?" She asks.
"I can probably absorb mana much more faster than her, I don't wanna sound rude by the way. But I won't use the mana stones to absorb mana and feed it manually. I will use the mana stones as a form of sacrifice for the spell to maintain itself. I will also perform the same spell on the inside of the gate as well if there are many more skeletons there. Everything below A rank would surely be electrocuted and A rank monsters will have a hard time defending their selves to an unending barrage of spells. Making them unable to help the battle."
I suggested and everyone analyze my words and look for any mistake.
"If you can do that, then everything else would be easy to follow. I see no problem of the plan so far as long as we are not affected of your spells then we have nothing to worry about." Christine said.
"The only issue about that is if we have enough mana stones to feed such massive spells. If I recall, Archie needed to restore the City as well if they somehow manage to succeed. Without enough mana stones, the restoration would be delayed even longer. The longer the delay the more mana stone is needed to repair such things. Marinduque's restoration should not be delayed even longer. Let's import mana stones from nearby country like Vietnam and have it deliver here via airline ASAP."
A female dress formally stood up and voice out her opinion about the matter.
I don't know who she was but she knows about me and about my capabilities. She probably received those information from the reports about me.
"We actually have mana stones that I think would be more than enough to feed Archie's spells. Our country is dealing with gates and dungeons here and there so he have supply of mana stones. The only problem is that they are scattered all over the Philippines. So I reject the idea that we should import them, let's focus on collecting what he have in the other parts of the Philippines instead." The Secretary of Defense, Sir Delarosa stood up and rejected her idea firmly.
I guess this is how things normally ended when politics is involved. They really like to go against each other and I find their exchange somewhat amusing.
