Chapter 19 - Chapter 19: Enigmatic Encounter

The night was silent as Alex lay asleep in his room, blissfully unaware of the shadows that crept in through his window. The moon's gentle glow bathed the room in a soft silver light, creating an ethereal atmosphere.

Unexpectedly, the beautiful girl with blonde hair and ruby-red eyes, whom Alex had encountered on the train, slipped into his room through the open window. Her movements were graceful and silent, like a whisper of the wind. Her eyes fixated on Alex as she stood beside his bed, an enigmatic smile on her lips.

Unbeknownst to Alex, she stood there, her eyes transformed, turning a deeper shade of red, and sharp fangs protruded from her mouth. She was a vampire, and the blood that coursed through Alex's veins seemed to have an irresistible temptation that she couldn't ignore. Her father had sent her to search for some suitable candidates for his work and this boy seemed like an appropriate one. But she just wanted to drink his blood and keep him for herself.

Her gaze was locked on him, and a bloodthirsty hunger filled her, but something within her held her back. A mix of emotions and confusion swirled within her, fighting the primal urge to feed on the sleeping young man.

Yet, as if drawn by an unseen force, she couldn't resist any longer. Slowly, she approached Alex's bedside, her heartbeat quickening in anticipation. Her fangs grazed his skin, and with a swift motion, she sank them into his neck.

As she drank his blood, an overwhelming sensation washed over her. It was unlike anything she had ever experienced. At that moment, her once glowing eyes dimmed, losing their crimson hue. The taste of Alex's blood had transformed her, but how and why remained a mystery to her.

As she continued to feed, the girl's strength waned, and her body grew weaker with each passing moment. The euphoria of the blood was slowly replaced by a sense of dizziness and fatigue as her consciousness grew fuzzy. Her eyelids grew heavy, and her legs faltered beneath her.

Finally, her grip on Alex loosened, and she fell unconscious before him, her body collapsing on the bed. The room once again fell into silence, as if nothing had transpired, save for the unconscious figure at Alex's bed.

As the first rays of the morning sun filtered through the curtains, Alex stirred in his bed, slowly waking from a deep slumber. His eyes fluttered open, and his gaze fell upon an unexpected sight – a girl sleeping peacefully in front of him on his bed. The shock jolted through him, and he let out a startled scream, jolting upright.

The girl, roused by Alex's sudden movement and scream, also awoke. Their eyes locked, and for a moment, time seemed to stand still. Alex was mesmerized by the girl's beauty, her blonde hair cascading around her like a golden halo. Her ruby-red eyes held an enigmatic depth, and he couldn't look away.

In turn, the girl appeared equally confused, her eyes searching his face for answers. The air between them was charged with uncertainty and curiosity. They were like two strangers caught in an inexplicable connection.

Before they could break the silent spell, the sound of approaching footsteps echoed in the hallway. Alex's mother, Maria, knocked gently on his door, asking why he had screamed. Alex quickly composed himself, his heart still racing, and replied with a half-hearted excuse, "Oh, it was nothing, just a weird dream."

Maria's voice carried concern as she asked. "Are you sure, sweetheart? You seemed startled."

Alex said, attempting to ease his mother's worries. "I promise, Mom, it was just a silly dream. I'm fine."

Maria's voice came through the door. "Alright, if you say so. Let me know if you need anything."

As Maria walked away, Alex turned back to the girl, his mind swirling with questions and uncertainty. Who was she, and how did she end up in his room? He couldn't recall seeing her before, yet there was something oddly familiar about her.

The girl's gaze held a mix of emotions – confusion, curiosity, and perhaps something else that Alex couldn't quite decipher.
