Chapter 2 - CHAPTER ONE

as the sun rose, its ray bathing the world in warm light. birds chirped in the trees, and Richard eyes fluttered open. he thought he had overslept, but when he saw the early hour on the clock, he breathed a sigh of relive. he threw off the covers and raced out of the bed, heading for the bathroom. but he was stopped in his track by his sister, Cynthia who called cheerfully good morning big bro, no need to rush breakfast first.

Richard is a young tennager of nineteen who gew up having a lot of responsibilities' on his shoulders. His father who was a soldier died wen was just a boy of eight years and ever since then life hasn't been the same for him and his family.

Despite his best efforts, Richard struggled in school. As the oldest student in his class, he was constantly mocked for his poor grades. The other students called him "Old Dummy," and he had trouble making friends. But despite his academic challenges, Richard worked tirelessly to help his mother, who relied on him to support the family. After school, he would take on any job he could find, doing manual labor to earn money. His perseverance and determination were admirable, but the ridicule he faced at school made him feel worthless.

Although the other students taunted and teased him daily, Richard was determined not to lose his temper. He knew that fighting back would only make things worse, so he gritted his teeth and carried on with his routine. His strength and resilience were remarkable, but the bullying still took a toll on his mental health. He felt like he was trapped in a never-ending cycle of pain and frustration, but he refused to give up. He held on to the hope that one day, he would find a way to break free from the cycle and find happiness.

Richard worked hard every day to support his family. After spending a full day in school, he would go to construction sites and work on hard labor to make some money. His mother, Maria, couldn't help but feel a deep sense of sadness when she saw how much her son was doing to keep the family afloat. She worried that it was taking a toll on his health and well-being.

Despite the hardships he faced, Richard remained a resilient and determined individual. He always pushed himself harder and harder, always striving to do his best. It was a quality his mother admired and respected, knowing that it would serve him well in the future. But at the same time, she wished that he could enjoyed the simple pleasures of teenage life without the heavy burden of responsibilities.

Richard had barely touched his food when he pushed the chair back and stood up mum I v got to get going he says I don't wanna be late today hes mother sighed Richard you really need to eat something you cant keep skipping your meals like this .but Richard was already at the door racing towards school, he knew his mom was right but he cant bring him self to slow down why hes grades are slowing down too. As Richard ran to school he taught about his grades.

He was a smart kid, but he struggled to focus in class and often found himself day dreaming instead of paying attention .this had to do with his poor grades and hes family situation and he knew that it was a problem to fix. But with all the other things he had to deal with his responsibilities at home, the pressure to do well in school and hes desire for a better future, it was hard to find the time and energy to focus on improving his grades.
