Chapter 7 - CHAPTER SIX: TWIST OF FATE

Richard's mom always had faith in her son's instincts and decision-making. Even though she knew she couldn't help him financially or in any concrete way, she understood that her support and encouragement were just as important. As they discussed the flyer, she could see the spark of excitement in his eyes, and she knew that it was something he really wanted to pursue. So, even though she had reservations, she put her own fears aside and gave him her blessing.

Before Richard left he decided to visit he's master. When he's master heard about it he felt devastated and sad Richard has made business soo successful for him than other assistance.Richard stood in front of his master's house, feeling nervous about what he was about to say. He had a hard time explaining why he needed to pursue this new opportunity, even though he was well-paid and treated like family. But he took a deep breath and gathered his courage, determined to be honest and open with his master. "I know you've been so good to me," he began. "I appreciate everything you've done for me, but this is a chance to follow my dreams."

"Richard, you have such a kind and determined heart," his master said with a warm smile. "I know that you will succeed at anything you put your mind to. You have been a loyal and hard-working employee, and I will always be grateful for that. But I understand that sometimes we have to follow our hearts, no matter how scary it might be. So I want you to know that you will always be welcome here, and I will support you in any way I can. Follow your dreams, my friend, and never look back."

As Richard sat in his room, getting ready for the interview the next day, he felt both nervous and excited. He practiced answering questions in front of the mirror, trying to project confidence and poise. Then he looked over the contents of the folder the flyer had told him to bring with him. It included his resume, letters of recommendation, and a few other documents. He carefully checked and double-checked everything, wanting to make the best impression possible. Finally, he looked at the clock and realized it was getting late. He had to get some rest if he wanted to be at his best for the interview.

As Richard walked out the door to the interview, his sister, Cynthia, called out to him. "You got this, bro," she said, with a mix of pride and sadness in her voice. She was happy that he was following his dreams, but she also felt sorry that he had to go through so much hardship to get there. She knew he had no idea how many nights she had cried herself to sleep, worried about his future. But now, she had to let him go and make his own way in the world. She saw Richard out of the house.

Richard was surprised when he arrived at the building for the interview. The building was an empty warehouse, with no furniture or decoration, and it was filled with people. Everyone looked nervous, eager to make a good impression. There were five interviewers, sitting behind a long table. One by one, the people in line wrote their names down on a clipboard and took a seat to wait. The air was thick with tension and uncertainty, as each person waited for their turn to be called.

When Richard went to write his name on the clipboard, he noticed a lot of people staring at him. Some whispered among themselves, wondering why a teenager would be applying for this kind of job. Suddenly, a voice called out, "Hey, boy, do you think we came here to play?" Richard was shaken by the comment, but he also felt a strange sense of relief. It had been a long time since anyone had referred to him as "boy" or said he was too young for something. In a way, it felt good to be treated like a kid again, even if it was in a negative way.

"Do you think all of us here came to play?" Mike repeated, his voice loud and intimidating. Mike was a muscular, built man in his late 20s. He looked strong and formidable, and he seemed to be sizing Richard up. Richard took a deep breath and responded, "Well, I feel like it's what I want, so I'm here to take my chances. And who knows, maybe I'll surprise you and pass the interview." Mike scoffed, unconvinced. "You won't even last long in the program, even if you do pass the interview," he said.

Shouldn't you be worried about your self or have you passed, richard said. in as much as Richard didn't like Mike at first sight but with he's appreance he could tell that mike would make it through with ease cause he looked well like a body guard

Well if someone should be worried here I think it's you you don't look like someone who can protect someone I doubt you can't even take a punch Mike said ,people around started laughing

See you around I hope you pass the interview Mike said lets know if you will last in the program he scoffed at then after some hours a voice called at him

Richard turned to face the person calling out to him. A tall, lean man in his mid-20s stood before him. "Hi, my name is Shun. I'm here for the interview too," the man said with a friendly smile. Richard smiled back, glad to meet someone who seemed more approachable than Mike. "Nice to meet you, Shun. I'm Richard." The two shook hands and started talking about their backgrounds and why they wanted to become bodyguards. Shun was charming and easy to talk to, and Richard found himself opening up about his dreams and fears.

Shun looked at Richard curiously and asked But I'm still curious, why do you want to become a bodyguard? You're still so young, you could have a whole life ahead of you to do something else, something that might be more fulfilling or stable. I'm just curious, what made you want to do this?" Richard paused for a moment, thinking of how to answer Shun's question. Finally, he said, "It's not so much about what I want to do, but who I want to be.

"I want to be a bodyguard because my dad was a soldier," Richard said. "He loved protecting people and keeping them safe. That's the kind of man he was, and I think that's the kind of person I want to be, too. I can't be a soldier like him, but maybe being a bodyguard is the next best thing. It's a way to honor him and his memory, to carry on the values he lived by. It's not just about the job, it's about who I want to be." Shun looked at Richard thoughtfully, a hint of admiration in his eyes. "

What about you why do want be a bodyguard as Richard asked him he heard he's name been called by one of an interviewer as he raced to the voice it's a woman who's in her late 30s

She was shocked and angry hey boy do you think we came here to play aren't you supposed to be school Richard tried to explain she asked him to leave that he's too young

Mam please give me a chance I believe this is my Calling I really need this please just give me a chance please. I said you should leave she thundered again as Richard was about to leave he heard a voice it's Sam DR Jim's friend he called out Martha please interview him he said
