"Ugh, I'm bored!"
"It's been an hour, is anyone coming?"
"I don't even know why we ti ed her up," Maxwell said, laying on top of a desk.
"At this rate, he's so used to it he probably doesn't rush," Josh said leaning over another desk in the warehouse.
"Unfortunately for me. I'm already hungry."
"Are you technically still on shift?" Ethan asked, laying on the floor. Bored as ever.
"Yeah", "Now that's just cruel", "tell me about it"
"Hey, you guys want to order pizza? There's no point in waiting while doing nothing." Jeremiah said, untying Desiree from her chair.
"Please!" Maxwell said happily, beaming up from his desk. Before they could get a phone, someone barged into the small warehouse they were in. The guy was wearing a blue suit. "..Why is it always you, Desiree?.."
"Oh, you finally dressed in blue like I told you. See it does match your eyes."
"Aren't you supposed to beat us up or something?" Josh asked, confused. "If you want to I can, but it'd be the fourth time this week. So please don't make me," he said approaching the guys.
"Look here's your money, now I'm leaving," He said, giving Josh a bag of money.
"You can tell Nick, next time I'm not coming for her. I'm coming for him."
"Sir, we don't work for that Nickolas guy"
"Then for who?", "Benjamin Pres-", "..Yeah yeah, I know him.."
"Sorry if we bothered you, we weren't aware that this was a thing" Maxwell apologized.
"Sigh. It's fine" he said as he turned around to Desiree, "Get in the car already, I'm short on staff and you're still on shift."
~~~~~~🗡~~~~~~
The next morning Desiree received a letter on her desk at work. There was no address or name. But in blood red ink she read, "Catch me if you can."
Even weirder than it was, this wasn't the first letter she had received in the same red ink.
Before she could make up her mind on what to think, her boss passed by. "Ms. Prescott, You have another job," he said leaving a file on her desk. "Already?", "yes already, what do you expect?"
"By the fact that I get kidnapped every time I'm out, I'd expect to work outside.", "well too bad, that's not how this works."
1:36 pm
"Hey, why so cold all of a sudden? Especially with me, I mean-"
"And who are you supposed to be?" Desiree asked seriously as she left him shocked...
1:30 pm
'Let's get this over with' she thought as she arrived at the location she was given by Charles earlier.
She arrived at an old and abandoned garage. This job, unlike others, was simple. She had to find a guy with a briefcase full of money, find the hidden compartment inside and take the gun. It was the easiest and most nonbrutal job she had gotten since she joined the agency. Yet, she wasn't in the mood to be doing this type of work so close to the time she should be off work. 'Thirty minutes' she thought. As she did she put a timer on her phone. She had made a deal with Harrison, if she wasn't done with the job in thirty minutes after arriving, she would abandon it. If not she would be done. "Thirty minutes to stall '' she said out loud.
"To stall for what?" a guy said. He was too far to see. But as he walked closer she could see him, with dark hair, gray eyes, and dark clothes. "What, do you work for Nick?" She asked, looking down and up at him.
"How'd you know?", "All his workers look the same, it's almost sad." She said as she realized he had the briefcase she was looking for. She then snatched it from him and opened it up while sitting on the ground, "Ah, you're with Charles?", "Wow, we have a genius," she said sarcastically.
In under two minutes of her searching the case, the guy bothering her. She was able to find the gun. "Well this wasn't my plan but at least I'll get paid." She said, tossing the shut briefcase back at him. "Why do you want that anyways?", "That's not your concern," she said, turning around and walking away.
"Hey, why so cold all of a sudden? Especially with me, I mean-"
"And who are you supposed to be?" Desiree asked.
"You're joking, right? I haven't seen you in"
"Does it look like I'm in the mood to kid around?"
"Well I mean-"
"No, the answer is no," she said, annoyed. She started to walk away again as he ran in front of her to face her.
"What do you want?" She asked as she kept walking either way.
"Do you seriously not know me?" He asked with a slightly worried tone.
"How could I- '' She stopped herself and thought for a moment. "Damn, I forgot," she said, annoyed again.
"Am I supposed to know you?" she asked.
"What type of question is that?"
She stopped to think for a second longer.
"The issue here," she started to say, "is that I don't remember you." She said, He stopped for a second as well, confused and shocked all at once.
"....What?"
