"BUT, Tania, how is this going to work?"
Adda said, looking distracted at the cloudy sky, which seemed to have ceased the rain. Even without paying much attention, the anxious girl had noticed how few people dared to be outside, much less in the open without a roof over their heads.
"Ey, girl, don't worry".
Tania's voice was calm and soft-spoken.
"See, today worked! You finished school and met me. What are they gonna say? Don't *refuge* from the cold ass rain? Besides, you yourself told me ya' parents would neva look for ya' while raining… Kinda sad tho".
Tania's reasoning made sense, she wanted to trust her, but something kept telling Adda to be wary. She needed confort, so she leaned onto Tania's shoulder.
