LONG AND difficult years had passed before Adda and Tania could hold hands together in the park, letting the sun bathe their smiles. In those years, their relationship had gained resilience and the couple was desirous of moving in together…But they were yet to find a place.
Some distant shouts caught Adda’s attention, startled. In the distance a group of kids played football with liveliness. Tania followed her girlfriend’s green eyes, intrigued by the soft smile in her pale facade.
“This reminds me of how we met.”
Said Tania.
The other woman stiffened, embarrassed by the bad memories that brought that commentary.
“It wasn’t a good start really…At all!”
“Yeah, if I hadn’t found ya’ cute when in da zoo… ”
“Wait, what?!”
Adda interrupted, blushing.
Tania laughed under her nose, reminding how clueless Adda used to be.
“Honey, how in the world ya’ think I'll instantly be friendly to someone who just hit me in da face with a ball?”
