Yumiko zipped up her bag and put it over her shoulder then saw CC, the one who was trying to tell her a joke.
"Do you still remember the joke?" Asked Yumiko, after walking to CC, who was a little away from the door.
"Yeah!" CC, said excitedly. He turned around quietly, "What do you call a three-thumb Kampala?"
"Peragant?" Asked Yumiko, replying to him.
"Y-yeah, you're too smart for my jokes," he said, immediately looking sad as he looked down with a small smile.
"Uh?" Yumiko ushered, a little confused momentarily, then smiled with a light blush.
"...What is it?" CC asked.
"You don't need jokes to make me happy, you do that on your own just fine," she said with a sweet smile. It's cute how much you try to make me laugh, even if you always fail like the insect you are, Yumiko thought to herself in disgust.
"Later CC, see you tomorrow. Kenny, let's get going," she said as she felt, leaving CC speechless.
Kenny rushed to zip up his bag, then got up quickly and left, while staring at CC.
If you haven't noticed, Yahkato Kuymiko is a huge narcissist, she thinks she's better than everyone else and that their major vermin compared to her.
She's not delusional, she is good- if not great at everything she does but the thing that makes her imperfect isn't just because no one is perfect but because of, as some would say, her interpersonality.
Students were standing outside of Yumiko's class. She left with Kenny walking behind her and students rushed to them as if they were celebrities. As Yumiko went down the hall the students followed closely behind her.
"Yumiko, here's strawberry milk, you must be thirsty," said one of the students after he walked up to be closer to her.
"I got you chocolate milk, it's better," another student said, as they went to be on the other side of Yumiko, pushing Kenny back.
"Thank you, guys but I'm not thirsty right now" she replied with a smile as she looked from left to right at the both of them.
"I have a meat bun!!" said one of the girls in the back of the crowd, as she jumped up.
She tried to make her way through the crowd. While trying to get to Yumiko, she bumped into Kenny and made him fall.
"Ah!" he said before falling, "Ow!" and then when on the ground. Yumiko immediately turned around.
"Are you okay Kenny?" she asked.
She sounded worried as she leaned down a little, putting some of her hair back that fell forward.
"Yeah, I'm great!- I mean, I'm fine..." he said with an awkward smile.
Yumiko reached her hand out to Kenny and he took it and she pulled him.
"Good. You guys have to be more careful, ok?" She said as she looked at the girl, then at everyone who was there, "But thank you for the gifts you guys, it's sweet of you. I'll take them with me and eat them later"
The people who were giving her stuff went forward and put them in her bag.
"Bye everyone" she said with that heart-warming smile then turned around and started walking again.
"Bye, Yumiko!" They all said with a smile, "And Kenny"
The student glared at Kenny with a death stare, he stopped for a moment. They don't seem to like him very much.
"Am I imagining things, or are they glaring at me?" He whispered to himself, then slowly turned around and walked to Yumiko.
As Yumiko and Kenny continued to walk in the hall. A student from another class stopped Yumiko to say bye as she left her class.
"Bye, Yumiko,"
"Bye," she replied with a light wave.
"What were you do-" Kenny said before he got cut off.
"Bye-bye!" Another student said with a wave as she ran past them.
"Bye. Sorry, what were you saying?" Yumiko asked.
"Uh, what were you talking to-" Kenny said and then got cut off again.
"See you tomorrow, Yumiko," said a tall male student as he walked past them.
"Yeah, see you!" She flashed a smile to the male.
"Uh...CC, why-" Kenny was trying to say.
"Oh wait, do you have any free time?" Said the student who just passed but backtracked to ask a question.
"One second, Kenny… Why, do you need help with something?" Yumiko said with a smile as she turned to the third year.
"I have a test next week on Friday, could you tutor me?" He said looking at her.
He then looked at Kenny and smirked then back at Yumiko. Kenny looked slightly confused by this.
"Yeah, but I can't today," she said then shook her head.
"That's fine, can you after school tomorrow?" He asked.
Why would I want to waste my gaming time with a bug, Yumiko thought, annoyed inside but smiling.
"Oh no, I can't tutor after school remember? Either at lunch or before school."
"Yeah. I'll get to school extra early, just for you," he said.
He winked after he leaned down to be face-to-face with Yumiko for he is much taller than she is then continued to where he was originally going.
What, did he want us to have a study date or something? Ew, Yumiko thought, feeling disgusted.
"You know that dude? Isn't he a third yea- never mind you know everyone- about CC." Kenny said flushed and as quickly as he could, so he wouldn't get cut off again.
"Hey, Yumiko," said a passing student, not allowing Kenny to talk.
This then happened several times after with other students, until they were out of the school gates and Kenny never got to talk.
"Bye, I have to go," replied Yumiko to the last person who said bye to her, wanting to hear what Kenny was trying to say.
"Ok, bye," the girl said before Yumiko and Kenny continued walking.
"What about CC?" Yumiko asked as they were walking away from the school gates.
"You know what? It isn't important, you're just a friendly person. Sure, yeah it's nothing" Kenny said in a low voice and clenching his bag, seeming sad but smiling lightly.
Jealous, Kenny? Oh, you have nothing to worry about with CC, he's an insect but you're more than that, you're my good little dog and I don't plan on replacing you anytime soon.
Sometime later, they were in the middle of the road, because they knew that road was abandoned and no cars drove there, it was a shortcut to Yumiko's apartment.
It's a long straight route, with no houses or buildings, only a few light points, along both sides, it was getting dark and close to being night. The light points had not turned on just yet.
Now, this is very important to remember: the lamps were not on but it was a matter of a few minutes before they would turn on and Yumiko knew this.
"Yuki," Kenny said while walking behind Yumiko and holding her bag.
"Yes, Ken?" she asked, walking with her hands behind her and eyes closed.
"Why do you never go out after school with anyone… except for me"
"Well… that's because they might all be my 'friends' but you're my only real friend and..." Yumiko said.
She stopped walking and turned around, her suit and hair in the air from a little wind, her hands behind her with a smile and a light blush. It was like time had stopped, the lights turned on in that picture-perfect moment, like something out of a movie.
"I like you, Kenny"
The moment passed as soon as it came. Yumiko then turned back around and started walking again.
"And plus, I prefer playing video games to hanging out with my classmates," she said while Kenny was stuck in place from shock.
"Sh-she...l-l-li-lik-es me..?" Kenny whispered to himself, looking down and blushing, his face a bright ruby red.
Oh Kenny boy, you sweet little puppy dog, aren't you just adorable? Yumiko thought to herself with a smile.
"Hey! Ken, let's go. I need to finish the latest arc of my favourite RPG," she said, walking backwards a little ahead of Kenny.
"Like… Huh? Oh, yeah coming," said Kenny before he jagged to catch up to Yumiko, then started walking again.
"Saying of games, do you want to come over and play with me?" She asked, putting her hands behind her head as they walked side by side.
"Yeah, I would love to-!"
Kenny said before he stopped himself and stopped walking, Yumiko also stopped and turned to him.
"But...I have that family dinner…"
Kenny rubbed his neck as he looked down to the side of him. He looked annoyed? Or maybe worried, a bit of both.
"Oh! Yeah," she said, turning around.
"Sorry, Yumiko," he said after looking up with a light smile.
"It's fine"
Later at Yumiko's apartment, she's on the 5th floor in a 7-floor apartment complex, room 502.
It's a small apartment with a bedroom, bathroom and kitchen with wooden floors. Her apartment is so small, the first thing that is seen is the kitchen leading into her bedroom. Then when in her room, to the right is the bathroom door.
Yumiko had just come out of the bathroom, wearing shorts and a spaghetti strap while using a white towel to dry her hair. Her necklace shined beautifully and let me tell you, she looked good.
