Yumiko walked into her bedroom, which had a bed with white sheets, a smart TV with a PC and controller hooked up to it and shelves of games, mostly video games and some board games.
She threw the towel on her bed and sat on the floor in front of the TV with her legs crossed, then turned on her TV and PC then grabbed the controller that was in front of the TV.
*Click click* Yumiko started playing a game. The game was already on when she turned on her PC.
Kenny's so cute. He's my childhood friend so it makes sense he would be my dog. I used to live with my grandparents but they're annoying so I moved out on my sixteenth birthday and like a good dog, he was always there.
"Yes!" Yumiko said happily because she had just defeated an enemy in-game.
I'm grateful they took me in but they're too much. My life is okay because of them. I'm not rich but I don't have to work, they support me, they pay the bills and I get money every month. I'm gorgeous and great at everything which can get boring at times. I'm always bored unless I'm playing games, that's why I love them so much.
Wish I could just play games all day or better yet, I wish I was in a game like my favourite one right now, Nova Kingdom, NK. It's an RPG where you build a kingdom, you have to rule and protect it and your subjects. It has a good storyline but I'm at the max in everything, I was so happy to find it has a new chapter! She thought with sparkles in her eyes.
Inner monologuing her life for the reader and so the author doesn't have to come up with an elaborate way for them to know this, cause that's not weird…
"I have to finish this before school tomorrow," Yumiko said, determined, "But first I need more food," she said looking beside her at the bag of chips she just finished.
Yumiko paused the game, got up and went to her kitchen carrying the bag with her then threw it in the bin that was in her kitchen.
In Yumiko's kitchen, when she walks into her apartment to the left is a row of wooden cupboards with metal handles and a counter below it. At the end of the cupboards and counter is a fridge. On the right are a stove, oven and more cupboards above them.
She started to look in the cupboards, then the fridge, there was food but no sacks.
"Oh yeah, I finished all the sacks…there is egg, bread and canned food but I don't feel like cooking right now," she said feeling lazy as she looked in the fridge, then closed it.
"I better go buy some more sacks, Grandpappy isn't going to bring groceries anytime soon, he just came, a while ago"
Sometime later, Yumiko is in a nearby supermarket, no one is there except for her and the cashier. It's a relatively small Japanese convenience store. There are white shells filled with snacks, ramen, chips, rice snacks and more. At the back of the store are big fridges with glass doors and a lot of drinks.
"Ah?" Yumiko ushered.
She noticed the cashier was staring at her. After she was finished getting everything she needed, at the cashier.
"That's all," Yumiko said to the cashier.
The cashier then started scanning the items but wasn't paying attention, she was just looking at Yumiko.
Wow, she has nice skin and her hair is so shiny. I wonder what skin and hair care products she uses but I don't think she would tell me. Pretty people always say they don't use anything, she thought. She wasn't wrong but Yumiko doesn't use products, she's just naturally pretty.
"Thank you, come again!" said the cashier enthusiastically as Yumiko walked through the store's glass doors.
I know I'm gorgeous but there's no need to stress. I guess It's only natural that an insect would be in awe of my beauty, Yumiko thought as she walked on the sidewalk to her apartment.
Not the shortcut route from easier, this road is active and several buildings were in the surrounding area.
*Screeeee* *Bam* *Crackle* A driver lost control of his car and crashed into Yumiko. All the food she bought flew everywhere. The car stopped and the driver got out and ran to her then keened beside her.
"Ma'am are you okay!?" He asked in a panic as he held her in his arms, "I called an ambulance, you're going to be okay!"
Am I dying?.. I didn't get to finish... NK's new erc… Yumiko thought in her last moments of life.
"Ma'am! Ma'am, can you hear me!" The driver said as he lightly sacking her, "The ambulance will be he!-"
Yumiko could slowly no longer hear his voice as it was fading away little by little then was gone. The end… I'm joking.
"Huh?" Am I still alive?! Yumiko thought then opened her eyes slowly and got up, she was leaning on a tree.
Yumiko looked different, she now had light purple eyes, down to her legs long pink to scarlet hair from top to bottom and highlights that looked like a small golden crown, wearing a white shoulderless short-sleeve shirt, a red gens skirt and red high buckle boots with thigh-high laced stockings.
"Where...? Am I?" She asked as she looked around her.
Yumiko woke up on a hill with a big tree and a forest below it. The sky was a bright light blue with not many clouds, the sun was in the shape of a hexagon, it was a sight to behold.
*Roooaaarrr* A big blue creature with wings and scales going along its back flew above her.
"What the-!" Yumiko said, her eyes widened as she followed it fly by, "Wow.."
She fell down due to shock and noticed something on the ground next to her. She then reached for it and realised it was a piece of paper with writing. The paper read
'Welcome to your new life, I, the God of Games, brought you here. Sadly I couldn't come to see you, so I can explain this. You are no longer on Earth, you've been transported to a different world called Geim Segye, a world with beast people, elves, lizardmen, dragons, there are even drones and many more.'
'You can go exploring and see all of them, maybe I'll be able to come then? I know how much you love games; even your last thoughts were about a game'
And at the bottom of the page, it had 'Turn over the paper —>'
"My new life!? This is crazy! What, am I in some light novel?!" Yumiko said not necessarily upset but confused and shocked.
On the other side, the paper continued with
'As the Game God, I feel we are alike in our love for games, so when you died, I transported your soul here. There are many words but this one is the closest to a game, it acts like one, and don't worry about the language barrier, you know every language here'
'Say 'archive' to start the game. Btw this isn't actually a game. The people here are real and you can die but try not to, I gave you immortal life in the sense that you can not age. Don't want things to end too fast'
"Immortal..!" This is actually insane! But so much cooler, all of this is so cool!- Except for the dying part... I had a good life… and Kenny, what is he going to do without me?..
"But this is going to be so much fun!" Yumiko said excitedly then stood up.
She was feeling more relaxed after her initial shock. Can you blame her, she just died and got brought back by a dashingly good-looking god!.. Well, I'm just guessing, how would I know? Ahem, anyway moving on.
"What should I say again, archive..?" she said with her head a little tilted and her brow raised.
Once Yumiko said that a black 2D square popped up out of nowhere. It had archives in gold at the top and below that in smaller letters, there was name, title, class, skills, spells and arsenal in that order like a fantasy
"It really is just like a game… Wait, this is already filled out," she said looking at her archive.

While she looked at her stats she noticed something.
"Sumay? Is that a weapon, I've never heard of it, let me see. How do I do this? Do I click on it, or," she said then reached her hand out to touch the square and clicked Sumay.
"No, it's not working… Oh! If this is like a game, I wonder if 'Summon' would work. I am a summoner now" But no matter what I am I'll always be amazing at it, Yumiko thought and said confidently to herself.
"Summon!... Nothing happened… Summon Sumay...!"
She was then startled by what looked like a female in her late teens or early 20s appearing in front of her.
Her name was Sumay, she had short white hair, scarlet eyes and always had a blank expression on her face. She wore a black and white maid uniform with shoulder-less puffy long sleeves and a puffy shirt, black shocks that went up to her knees with a little white bow at the back and a loose red bow.
"Hello, master, a pleasure to meet you. How may I help you?" Sumay asked with a blank look and no expression in her voice.
"Wow... you're pretty," Yumiko said, dazzled by the lady's beauty, her eyes wide and leaning forward a little. And that's saying a lot coming from me.
"Thank you, master but my beauty is nothing compared to yours," Sumay said.
Well, obviously, I'm glad you know your place, insect but, "Who are you?"
