"Good, you have made the right decision.
My name is Lina Nightshade, and I am the third princess of the Night shadow tribe, the tribe that rules over all vampires in the continent of Ziveria.
Elliot, my chief servant, will take you on a tour inside the castle and teach you what you need to know. Tomorrow, you will undergo an oath ceremony, and after that, I will decide what you should do."
After Lina finished speaking, a tall man emerged from the shadow in the corner. He had a well-proportioned body and was dressed in servant attire, appearing to be in his late fifties. His skin was pure white, even more so than Lina's, and his hair was a mix of black and white, indicating his advanced age. However, he didn't look like an ordinary old man; he carried an aura of strength and intelligence, especially in his deep green eyes that seemed to hold secrets unknown to anyone else.
Elliot stood before Rael and spoke with a deep and steady voice, carrying layers of wisdom and experience, "Sir Rael, please come with me. I will show you around the castle."
Afterward, Rael and Elliot left Lina's room and took a tour of the castle, with Elliot explaining its various sections.
The name of this castle is "The Fallen Shadow Castle," Lina's private castle, consisting of four floors.
The first floor serves as a training ground and living quarters for trainees and warriors under the princess. The second floor consists of a guest hall, banquet rooms, guest bedrooms, meeting rooms, a food storage room, a kitchen, and other essential facilities. It also houses the infirmary, where Rael had previously been.
The third floor houses a library, a chemistry room, and a training room with a high concentration of mana and a weapons storage.
The fourth floor is the smallest one, serving as the personal residence of the princess.
Currently, Rael would be staying in a guest bedroom.
"So, is there anything you want to know?" Elliot asked Rael after their tour of the castle.
"Could you explain the current situation on the continent, Sir Elliot?" Rael asked without hesitation. This question had been on his mind since he arrived in this world.
Elliot looked at him for a moment and then began to speak with his steady voice, "This continent is home to six races: humans, elves, orcs, dwarves, vampires, and the tribes of monsters and half-monsters.
Elves inhabit the northern part of the continent, characterized by dense forests, mainly due to their sacred World Tree. The elves are divided into various tribes, such as Dark Elves, Forest Elves, Moon Elves, and more, all of which coexist in harmony.
In the south, orcs live, and the desert climate there is their preferred environment. The strongest among them holds the ruling power.
As for the monsters and half-monsters, they reside in the western region, which includes forests, deserts, mountains, and other diverse climates. They are divided into different tribes that collaborate with each other.
Humans, on the other hand, inhabit the southwestern and some central areas and are the only race divided into three kingdoms.
In the eastern part of the continent, vampires can be found. The region is mostly covered in clouds throughout the year, except during the night, as vampires favor the moonlight.
The society of vampires closely resembles that of humans, with a royal family governing alongside noble families. However, the recent situation has been unstable.
Lastly, at the middle of the continent, you will find the dwarves. They share common borders with all races due to their exceptional craftsmanship. All races trade with them, and their highest council governs the dwarven cities, their resources, and anything else .
After giving him a brief overview of the current situation on the continent, Elliot took Rael to a guest room and assigned a maid to accompany him.
Entering the room, Rael found it to be simple yet elegant, with a bed, a desk, and a table, as well as a door leads to a bathroom. Despite the world's resemblance to the European era of nobility, it was equipped with almost all the modern comforts.
Rael took a hot bath, and the fatigue he had accumulated over the past five months seemed to melt away. However, upon examining his frail body, he noticed numerous scars and burn marks that hadn't fully healed, reminding him of the time he spent in Alex's laboratory.
This was probably the longest period he had been able to think without being interrupted.
After organizing his thoughts, Rael dried his body and put on the clothes he found in the bathroom. As he lay down on the bed, he contemplated what to do in the future. But before he could think about anything further, at the moment he lay down on the bed, his consciousness slipped into the world of dreams, only to remember afterward that tonight is his first night of sleep in this new world.
