The night set over the tulip plains. Hunter sat over an enormous pile of tulip bears. "Damn, who would've thought killing these beasts was such a hassle? But killing them was easy enough…" He grabs a cigarette, places it in his mouth and lits it. He puffs the cigarette slowly, looking towards where he believes the sky is. "I've done enough?" He asked himself.
From a distance lots of footsteps come towards him. They suddenly stop and one of the screams "WHO KILLED THIS MANY?" The crew came to see what Hunter did. They see a mountain of carcases, one above another. "Oh!" He gets up and looks down. "It's you guys!"
He laughed. They look at the maniac man, known as Hunter Bloodhearth in disbelief.
"Help me get down from here, I don't know how high I am…" Talia gets on the pile and slowly helps Hunter get down. "Now you guys carry them to the ship. It ain't that far away right?" Hunter was exactly 1 kilometer away from the ship. Talia and Hunter head back to the ship.
When Hunter and Talia arrive back, Robin is shocked to see Hunter alive. The crew made the ship clean, no touch of dust on it or in it. Hunter wipes the floor with his finger, he rubs his finger with his thumb and nods. "You lot didn't go back on the agreement as I didn't, your people will come with your meat soon." Robin continues to be shocked. "What did you kill?"
"A mountain of tulip bears, at least 100 of those, all meaty, ready to be cooked and eaten." Said Talia. "Don't believe me ask your crew, they are still behind, a kilometer back." Hunter goes on a chair in a corner and lowers his head and starts sleeping, snoring, like a man who came back from hard work.
Robin looks at them in disbelief, grabs a communicator and calls one of the crew members. "This is the bird to the eyes, what's your status?" Static sounds come from it before someone comes up. "Eyes to the bird, we have about 107 tulip bears, we are gonna last at least half a year with good rationing." "Thank you, see you home, bird out!" "We are nearly there, eyes out!"
The rest of the crew widened their eyes when they heard what Hunter did. All of them stopped what they were doing and looked at him. Some made religious signs such as the star or the Christian cross. "So he really is a Bloodhearth, and a Bloodhearth wants to lead us!"
Said the one who had the most doubts about Hunter and started all this. "So do we give full command to him? He is blind!" Said another one. They started to argue about what is going to happen next.
The ruckus created by the crew awakens Hunter. He gets up and starts talking. "Enough chit-chat, you talking won't get us anywhere, I am too old and too sick to lead you, but I can lead your captain to do better, stand by her side. With me helping her you guys will flourish."
He looks in the direction where he believes Robin is, his intuition was correct, he looks with his empty eyes directly into hers, he didn't know, he just speculated that's where she is.
Robin looks in his eyes, she feels a warmth coming from them, even looking as dead as they are, when she looks at him, she sees her late father, the same father who left the crew and the ship to her, without any guidance. She doesn't see an old blind man, from the Bloodhearth clan, she sees her father. "Hunter— I want you to be my right hand man!"
Hunter looks at her all smiling. "I accept!" He said, with a high pitched tone of voice, after, giving a bow, he sat back in the chair, got in the position of sleeping and started snoring.
