Theodore and Hunter are looking at a holo-map of the capital. "We dealt minimal damage to the walls. And the guards…" "We don't talk about the guards!" Said Theodore. "The only thing we talk about is that we didn't do it properly, we did it like barbarians." Hunter looks at his nephew, he tilts his head. "How could've you acted differently?" Theodore leaves the table the holo-map was on. "By an assassination. This was useless."
Hunter hears the door behind him close, he thinks Theodore left, Hunter now is alone in the room. His vision blurs and barely could see. "Only if you knew that my time is near to end Theodore…" He said that trying to grasp a paper on the table. "I am still here. And what do you mean by that?" Hunter jumps when he hears Theodore's voice.
"What's going on uncle?" Hunter sighs and sits in a chair, he rests his hand on the table. "I activated a god stone, I tried to revive my wife and child. I appealed to the wrong god. I got cursed. I expect to die, but that won't be a possibility. I lose my vision every day, getting dimmer and dimmer. I can't even see my daughter's face properly." He scratches his eyes so tears won't come on his face.
Theodore looks at him and now connects the dots on why he had a map for god-stone detection. "It's something he took from you didn't he?" Hunter smashes his fist on the table.
"The king took everything from me with this war he had!" He takes a deep breath. "I got my rest because of you Theodore. Thank you. And I believe you took revenge on your father's death too, right?" Theodore looks in the opposite direction of where Hunter sits now "I did, but I don't feel any better."
"You should make your daughter as lady of your land's Hunter, now that you're in this state. Does she know?" Hunter shakes his head. "She doesn't know, and if I give her the lands… She is already in some shady shit I can't just put her as the leader of something this important."
"Don't be a fool, she is more than ready, and to my surprise you now seem more reserved. What did she do?" Hunter gets up from the chair. "This conversation is over." He tries to leave, but he falls, Theodore helps him up. "Are you ok?" Hunter sighs. "No, I am not. I need to send a message to my daughter. Go to your troubles, new king of Highland."
"Are you sure you want me to leave you like this?" Hunter pats him on the back. "Kid, the only thing I need now is some space, I'll stay here. Also can you activate me the assistant?" Theodore takes his phone and sets up the assistant. "Call me if you need anything." Theodore leaves the room.
Hunter, with the help of the assistant, calls Mariah. "Hey, I need to tell you that Theodore wants to meet you. He wants to know if the two of you are ok." "Why do you sound so down Hunter?" The woman said. "It's nothing, a hard day for everyone that's all. Bring Alex too, Theo will be glad to see his twin too." He ends the call. "I need to get home."
Hunter tries to get to the door, he hits himself walking into a wall. He falls on his back. He remembers the day he was cursed. 2 years ago, 14 days after the war started. He is sitting on top of a god stone. He activates it. "I call upon the gods with a god stone. I want you to grant my wish!" From the air, 10 human-like creatures emerge. One of them steps up. "I am the God of loyalty, Csha. What wish do you want granted, human?"
"I want my wife back!" The god laughs maniacally. "I am sad to tell you, but your wish won't be granted." The other gods look at Csha with disgust. "You can't do this Csha, he is a Bloodhearth!" Csha looks at him closer. "And that's the reason why, the bloodhearts have a curse, someone activated a stone if you remember, to make the Bloodhearth clan's life hell." With his long finger points at Hunter. "He is a Bloodhearth"
"If you can't grant me this wish, I want something else. I want to know who set the curse on us!" Csha laughs, "don't use your wish on that, I tell you who did it." He snaps his fingers and a floaty book comes from the heavens, he searches it. "4007, 4007, where is it?" Page by page he looks for it. "Here, my agenda is filled with boring and useless stuff."
He moves the finger on the page and stops after he finds what he wants. "Year 4007, 13 god stone activated ever, by Jonathan D. Porter, king, yours as far as I know." He closed the book and snapped his fingers again. The book disappears in thin air. "I know I can't wish death, but can I wish something else, when a Bloodhearth will kill him, the curse will disappear?" "Why not make it disappear directly?"
Hunter laughs. "Then how will he know what pain is, we Bloodhearths will hunt him down, and one day will kill him, is my wish granted?" "Yes and no, the curse will still have to exist, you can choose if you want to inherit the curse to the fullest after you Bloodhearths kill him." He grabs a photo from his back pocket, is him, his daughter Milena, and his wife. "I am gonna meet her sooner than expected, but yes. I want the curse to be on me after everything is done, and the curse to stay on me only to be finished with me, "Fine, wish granted mortal!"
