Chapter 3: The Goblin's Game

The days that followed were a whirlwind for Hiroto. Every morning brought new lessons—how to scavenge for food, weave shelters from leaves, and craft tools from bones and stones. But amidst these survival lessons, Hiroto discovered that goblins had an insatiable love for games.

Riku introduced Hiroto to a game that seemed to be a mix of hide-and-seek and tag, aptly named "Shadow Dash." Goblins, with their nimble feet and knack for camouflage, turned the game into an exhilarating contest of wits and agility.

One day, as Hiroto clumsily tried to hide behind a patch of ferns, he stumbled upon a peculiar stone. It was smooth, oval, and shimmered with an ethereal glow. Intrigued, he pocketed the stone, planning to show it to Riku later.

That evening, as goblins gathered around their usual bonfire, Hiroto unveiled his find. The merriment halted momentarily, as many goblins eyed the stone with a mix of awe and caution. Riku, brow furrowed, gently took the stone from Hiroto, holding it up against the firelight.

"This," he began, voice tinged with gravity, "is a Moonstone, a rare gem with mysterious powers. It's said that it can grant its holder a single wish."

A ripple of excitement surged through the tribe. Goblins whispered among themselves, speculating about the stone's origins and powers. However, an elder goblin named Miko, known for her wisdom and tales of yore, silenced the crowd with a raised hand.

"These stones," she began, "are gifts, but also tests. They measure one's heart and desires. Many have been led astray by their allure, wishing for power or riches, only to face dire consequences."

Riku handed the stone back to Hiroto. "It's your find, so your choice," he stated simply.

That night, as Hiroto lay under Valerion's vast starlit sky, the weight of the decision pressed upon him. Would he wish to return to Tokyo? Or perhaps wish for strength to navigate this world better?

Yet, as memories of his Tokyo life merged with his new goblin existence, Hiroto wondered if some things were best left to destiny. With a deep breath, he clutched the Moonstone, his wish taking form in his heart.
