Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

Lox was a small demon who was different from his brethren. Unlike the powerful and fearsome creatures, Lox was incredibly weak and vulnerable.

His body was thin and emaciated, lacking the strength and power that other demons possessed.

In the dark and confusing world where demons reigned supreme, Lox was the object of ridicule and mockery from his fellow demons.

They recognized his powerlessness and saw him as an object to satisfy their cruel needs. They inflicted physical pain on him, trying to make his life a hellish torment.

The demons laughed at Lox, mocking his weakness and helplessness. They felt their power and confidence in their own strength, knowing that Lox wouldn't be able to resist them.

"How I hate you guys!" - Lox thought.

His thin and fragile body was becoming the object of their cruel games, and Lox felt even more vulnerable and helpless with each new abuse.

Lox hated his situation, cursing his fellow creatures and himself for his weakness.

He longed to be strong and powerful, to stop being bullied and become someone who took revenge and hurt others.

But in his world, the weak always remained weak, and Lox was chained to his role as a helpless demon.

So Lox continued to live in this dark and confusing world, feeling the pain and suffering of his fellow man every day.

He hoped that one day his fate would change, that a way would be found to escape this powerless state and find his power.

"I hate it!" - Lox continued to think.

Lox continued to suffer the bullying of the supreme demon every day. It was a demon with powerful abilities and a ruthless nature that enjoyed torturing and humiliating the weak Lox.

Each blow, each taunt only increased his torment and vulnerability.

At one point, however, something unusual came to the supreme demon. He was summoned to the outside world, where his powers and skills could be used to sow chaos and destruction.

Lox felt the chasing and beating suddenly cease. The power that had previously caused him pain and suffering was gone.

In the back of his mind, Lox felt a mixture of relief and disbelief. He couldn't believe that the bullying was finally over. His mind filled with a vague hope that this could be the beginning of change in his life.

Demon Lox began to wonder:

"Where did that idiot go?"

"Why am I not getting beaten up?"

"Is he really tired?"

He couldn't escape the feeling that this was more than just a fluke.

Lox felt that his life would never be the same. He desired nothing more than revenge.

In the darkness and hopelessness of the night, when the world seemed most threatening and merciless, Lox is summoned by an occultist named Edric.

Edric was an expert in the arcane and forbidden arts, and his name caused terror and awe in many creatures.

Lox felt the power and gloom that accompanied Edric's call. At that moment, Lox did not know what to expect from the call, but a spark of hope for change flickered in his heart.

He was ready to meet Edric and find out what role he was destined to play in this world.

When Lox appeared before Edric, the occultist met him with a cold and penetrating stare.

Edric was a tall, gray-haired man, his black eyes glittering with knowledge and power that enveloped him. He gazed piercingly at Lox, as if he saw his true nature and potential.

Influenced by Edric's dark voice and his own lust for power, Lox licked himself, feeling the agony of emotion that swept over him.

He realized that this contract would be his chance to change his destiny, and now he had the chance to set his own terms.

In the back of his mind, Lox felt a glimmer of his true self, the humanity he had lost along the path to power.

However, the power and thirst for revenge was stronger, and he made the decision to put the harshest terms in his contract with Edric.

"The souls of men will be mine!" - rushed through Lox's mind.

He realized that this brutal demanding would be his main source of strength and ability to avenge all the suffering he had experienced.

He was about to immerse himself in a grim practice where the souls of innocents would become his fuel and source of power.

With his terms clearly stated, Lox offered them to Edric, looking at the occultist with a ruthless gaze.

Edric listened carefully to every word, showing no sign of surprise or rejection.

- 'So be it,' Edric replied coldly.

- I will accept your terms, little demon. But remember that the price you pay will be incredibly high.

- You will find yourself cursed and imprisoned in this cruelty you will bring to the humans.

Lox paid no heed to Edric's warning. His mind was gripped by a lust for vengeance and power.

He felt bittersweet imagining how he would be able to control the souls of men, bending them to his will and inflicting torments such as he himself had experienced.

Edric, about to make a contract with Lox, raised his hand and incised it with a sharp knife to use his own blood in the ritual. However, suddenly, something went wrong.

Green lightning, filled with agony and power, began to leap and zigzag around the abandoned place.

Surprise and fear gripped Edric as he realized that he had lost control of the force he had summoned.

He realized that something in his ritual had gone wrong, and now the power he wanted to use had become uncontrollable and dangerous.

- No, no! - Edric shouted, trying to fend off the lightning bolts, but his attempts were futile. The lightning bolts continued to dance and flash around him, emitting a ferocious green light and electrical charge.

Suddenly, the lightning bolts struck Edric several times, enveloping his body with energy and painful power.

He let out a horrible scream, his body shuddered, and then breathlessly fell to the ground. The pentagram he had drawn was smeared with his body and blood.

Lox, watching the scene, found himself witnessing Edric's sudden death.

The demon fell to the ground with his ass on the ground, feeling surprised and bewildered at this unexpected development.

The green lightning, which had now lost its target and master, subsided. Silence and peace enveloped the place where the ritual had taken place.

Lox rose from the ground, gingerly touching his immobilized ass.

Lox, realizing that the contract had been terminated and Edric was dead, felt a sudden freedom. He sat on the ground, experiencing a moment of amazement, but soon the thought of freedom, of being able to exact his revenge, burst into his little head.

With his hoarse voice penetrating the abandoned place, Lox began to yell:

- I am free! My revenge will be accomplished!

He felt that nothing could stop him now, that he could finally avenge everything he had suffered.

However, after only 30 minutes, hopelessness poured into his little head.

Lox didn't realize where to go or what he was capable of.

His joy and confidence had been replaced by doubt and despair. He simply fell to the ground, feeling helplessness overwhelm him.

- What's the point without a contract and blood? - Lox thought, feeling lost and alone.

He had been shackled to the role of a weak and vulnerable demon who sought power, and now that freedom had been achieved, he didn't know how to use it.

A sense of hopelessness and unfamiliarity consumed Lox. He was without footing or direction, without a plan of action and without knowing how to realize his revenge.

He was tangled in his thoughts and doubts, realizing that freedom without a clear path had only become a burden.

Lox lay on the ground, feeling his body fill with the weight of hopelessness.

Magic : None

Abilities : Sin Absorption | Regeneration |

Laws Learned : Immunity to Contract

Lox, realizing that the contract had been terminated, gained a new status and identity. He now appeared to himself as a demon without a master.

He realized that the man no longer bound him to the weakness and vulnerability he had previously experienced.

As he looked at his new identity, Lox found that his knowledge was at 0%. He had no knowledge of the world, of magic, or of his abilities.

This discovery filled him with mixed emotions - on the one hand, he realized that there were a vast number of things he did not yet know, and on the other hand, he felt clean and free of past obligations.

Lox's shell was absent, which meant that he had no physical manifestation or form.

He was a free spirit, devoid of the constraints of the material world. This gave him the ability to explore new frontiers and penetrate places others could not reach.

Lox had no magic, but he had developed some abilities.

He realized that he had the ability to absorb sins - to take on the negative emotions, suffering and dark deeds of other beings. This gave him the ability to sense and understand the sins and dark essence of human nature.

He also had the ability to regenerate, which allowed him to quickly recover and replenish his strength after being injured.

Lox noticed that he had studied the laws surrounding the termination of a contract.

It was an understanding of how a contract could be terminated, and gave him knowledge of ways to rid himself of the bonds and restrictions that might arise afterward.

All of this new understanding and possibilities raised questions from Lox.

"What's this?" - he thought, feeling a mixture of wonder, hope and uncertainty.

He realized that new possibilities and paths were now opening up to him, and it was up to him to explore his abilities, gain knowledge, and determine his future.

"So I'm only a spirit?" - Lox's thoughts raced through his mind. He realized that he was devoid of a physical shell, which made him only an invisible and intangible being. He realized that a contract usually required a body, and looking at the corpse reminded him of that fact.

"But it's impossible to inhabit a corpse," Lox thought, dismissing the idea of zombies and dead bodies. He had heard stories of zombies that were dead and controlled by some force, but he didn't want one for himself.

He realized that to attach himself to a dead body meant denying himself the ability to move freely and experience the world.

Out of curiosity, Lox began running around the corpse, searching for possibilities and solutions.

He longed to find a way to gain physical form and become visible to interact with the world. Suddenly his gaze fell on a cage that held a strange bat-like creature.

"This must be it," thought Lox, approaching the cage with interest.

He watched the creature, sensing that it might hold the key to its physical manifestation. Perhaps it was a creature capable of giving Lox the shell he craved.

He studied the caged creature, noticing its strange behavior and movements.

Lox slowly and cautiously reached out his intangible hand towards the cage, trying to make contact.

Suddenly, his hand passed through the bars, confirming his spiritual state.

Lox realized that he couldn't directly interact with the creature, but he didn't despair.

He knew that as a spirit, he had the ability to influence the world around him and other beings.

He decided to find a way to use his abilities to connect with this strange being and figure out how it could help him get physical.

"I wish I had a book for dummies."

How to make a contract with an animal!" - thought Lox.

Lox decided to try to enter the bat, hoping it would help him get physical. He concentrated and, merging with the energy, entered the bat's body.

However, when Lox became part of the bat, something unexpected happened. Instead of gaining control of the body, Lox was thrown out of the bat's head by the violent movement of its wings.

The mouse appeared agitated and nervous, and it simply rejected Lox's presence, throwing him out of its body.

Lox found himself hovering in the air around the cage and watched as the bat continued to move frantically inside the cage.

"Shit!" - Ran through Lox's mind, feeling frustrated and annoyed. He hadn't expected this outcome and was confused.

His attempt to gain physical form had failed, and now he found himself once again an invisible and intangible spirit.
