Chapter 7 - Chapter 7

Viola stood in front of the cat, feeling a strange trembling inside.

Mr. Poof's gaze changed, his eyes red and bloodshot, as if he had become an unusual creature with untold magical power.

"I just wanted to warn you," came through Viola's mind.

She heard the words, but couldn't understand where they were coming from. Mr. Poof seemed to send his warning directly into her mind.

She looked at the cat in bewilderment, not understanding what was happening.

But then a strange transformation occurred in front of her - Mr. Poof turned into a ghostly cloud, standing beside her at full height.

Not frightened, Viola realized that she was now just a soul, devoid of physical appearance.

She felt light and free, like a breeze that could penetrate anywhere.

She took on the appearance of Mr. Poof, who now seemed less ordinary than before.

Viola listened to Lox's words with mixed feelings - fear, disappointment and anger. She couldn't believe that the cat she had picked up and lived with all these years was a demon who had been pretending to be a normal animal all this time. Her face expressed bewilderment and anger.

"Have you been like this the whole time, from the moment I picked you up?" - she questioned, trying to figure out how long Lox had been around her.

Lox shook his head negatively. His demonic image was ghostly and scary, like an obsession.

He moved closer to Viola and his ghostly tail touched her forehead. At that moment, Viola experienced a strange sensation - it was as if she was seeing a memory that remained in her mind.

Images of the day she had first met the little kitten on the street, wandering among the dangers, flashed through her mind. She sympathized with him and decided to take him home so he would be safe.

The kitten was so small and helpless that Viola couldn't resist his plea for help. She sheltered him and protected him as her little friend. Her heart was full of kindness and care.

But now she realized that the day they went for a walk in the woods, something had happened.

Viola realized that she had been around the demon ever since without even knowing it.

Her power she thought she was finding within herself, she was actually taking from Lox. He had been with her.

"From that moment on, you've been with me..." - Viola muttered, as if confirming her thoughts.

Lox looked at her in silence. No, he didn't have the ability to speak words, but his eyes were full of mystery and magic.

He was a part of her life, and she couldn't deny that it wasn't just a cat now.

Viola felt fear again, but skillfully overcame it with her thoughts. She realized that the demon Lox couldn't be around her for no reason. His presence was also a test.

Viola listened to Lox's words with mixed feelings. On the one hand, she was impressed by his sincerity and desire for change.

On the other hand, she felt fear of what might happen if the demon Lox consumed her soul.

"Then, what will happen to me if you consume my soul? Why do you need me?" - She inwardly addressed Lox while in her disembodied state.

Lox turned haze, as if thinking about something deep, and answered:

"I want revenge, power, and strength. I won't do anything to humans. I want to kill the demons who are so intent on humiliating the weak. I want to create a country where everyone is equal."

Viola felt the shock of hearing those words. They shattered her idea of Lox as a ruthless and evil demon. It turned out he had his own motives and goals that went beyond a simple desire to destroy.

She tried to make sense of his thoughts and understand why he wanted to seek revenge and create a just country. Apparently, in all those days by her side, he had seen a lot of new things.

That's why Lox decided to use her power for his own purposes.

"You want change, and I want to get back to life. Perhaps together we can accomplish our goals," Viola replied as she expressed her thoughts.

She decided to trust the demon and take the risk. After all, she was already a corporeal being and she had no other choice.

The girl stepped around the demon's shadow and found herself in front of its face, devoid of emotion. She stared at him intently, ready to accept his terms.

"If you're good and that's the way you'll always be, I agree. I want to be strong," she said firmly.

The demon gazed intently at the girl, as if trying to get into the depths of her soul. Then he spoke softly:

"You don't know the rules. If you agree, I will completely consume you, and your soul will simply vaporize, it will not go to heaven or hell."

"I don't care! Just prove you're right. You've been with me all this time. After all, you're the one who's been helping and protecting me," the girl thought, wrinkling her face.

"And you're the one who canceled their magic."

The demon thought for a moment, as if pondering her words.

As Lox sighed heavily, waiting for Viola's next move, he was hit by an unexpected action.

The girl suddenly moved closer to him and kissed the demon. Lox felt a strange shock at this gesture, because he had never experienced such an emotion before.

But at the same time, this kiss was unusually heartfelt. There was not only passion and affection in this kiss, but something deep that bound their two souls together.

As Viola kissed Lox, his demonic essence began to consume her soul.

He began to read her memories - from the moment of her childhood to this moment. In that consuming connection, he saw her entire life: the joys, the suffering, the triumphs and defeats.

He learned about her hard times, how she faced challenges and overcame them bravely.

He learned about her selflessness and kindness, how she protected others and fought for justice.

He learned about how her heart was filled with love and a desire to make the world a better place.

In every memory, in every emotion, Lox discovered Viola's sincerity and strength. It was something unique and beautiful.

He saw her inner peace, her kindness and determination. It was a powerful feeling. He had never experienced it before.

He continued to absorb her soul, but not to destroy it, but to strengthen their bond.

Suddenly, as if magically, Viola's soul began to disappear.

Her presence in the white space faded away, leaving only emptiness.

Lox watched this process indifferently, without emotion, as if observing something ordinary.

Lox's heart, or something that could previously be called his heart, remained indifferent to this disappearance.

He was a demon, devoid of affection and empathy. But something inside him had changed. The absorption of Viola's soul had left a mark on his mind.

When the process was complete, Lox was left alone. He had taken over Viola's personality and memories, but her soul was forever lost.

To a demon, losing her soul was a negligible event, but to him, something had changed.

He sighed heavily, realizing that he had forever lost the ability to feel human emotions and joys. He stared at Viola's memories, trying to make sense of this new reality.

He had many questions, but none of the answers. It was unclear to him why he remained indifferent to the fate of the girl who had been by his side for so long.

But perhaps it was part of his demonic nature, his inability to show human feelings and emotions.

"As always," Lox thought to himself.

[Viola's memories.]

- Birth.

In a dark and mysterious forest where magic permeated every corner, the birth of the little witch Viola took place.

It was a special day, when magical forces merged to bring into the world a new soul capable of wielding the magic of the elements.

In a wild glade, illuminated by the pale light of the moon, stood a woman in a purple dress, surrounded by mysterious symbols and candles blazing brightly.

It was the material appearance of nature itself, which had come to life to accompany the birth of a new witch.

Under her caring gaze, a little girl appeared, wrapped in a silk blanket, her eyes still closed, but even at that moment they were already radiating magical energy.

Dewdrops sparkling like magic crystals adorned her delicate hair.

- Welcome to the world, little Viola," the woman whispered, addressing the newborn girl.

- You will become a strong witch, able to wield the magic of the elements and change the world around you.

Little Viola opened her eyes and stars shone in them, as if the universe was recognizing itself in her eyes.

It was a moment when magic seeped into her essence, imprinting her with the forces of nature and magical abilities.

The woman turned around and the rocks and plants lit up in bright colors, bestowing blessings upon the little witch.

A magical vortex flew into the air, creating a magical aura around Viola that would follow her throughout her life.

...

On a cool fall evening, in a small village house, far away from the main village, an ordinary family, despite their endless love and patience, faced the bitter truth - they had no children.

But fate was preparing an unexpected twist for them that would turn their lives upside down.

Suddenly there was a knock at the door, and the mother regretfully put aside her needlework and opened the door, hoping to see someone from the neighbors.

But before her stood a strange man in a black robe, his face hidden by a dark hood. He whispered something, and the mother caught only the words - Little Girl.

Before she could say anything, the mysterious man was already at the hidden entryway and right on the doorstep he carefully placed the little sleeping girl in a dark blue robe wrapped in a soft diaper.

The mother was stunned and embarrassed by this unexpected find.

The little girl, Viola, was sleeping peacefully, as if she felt she was in a safe place.

The mother looked at the stranger in the black robe with confusion, who hurriedly disappeared into the darkness without uttering a word.

The mother's heart clenched with mixed feelings - she was stunned, shocked, and afraid of the unknown.

But at the same time she felt tenderness and care for this little girl whom fate had clearly brought into their home.

She gently lifted the little girl into her arms and felt her heart fill with love for this little creature.

She hugged Viola as if to say that she would find her care, love and protection.

Her father came into the room, hearing the commotion that Viola's landing under the door caused.

He, too, was shocked by this unexpected situation. The mother told him about the stranger who had left the girl outside their house.

Husband and wife exchanged glances, and decided that Viola would stay with them, being welcomed into their family as their own miracle.

They would receive her with love and warmth, giving her everything she needed for a happy childhood.

Thus began a new chapter in the life of an ordinary family.

Viola was five years old and a smart, inquisitive girl with a good heart. Her parents were always supportive of her curiosity and tried to encourage her hobbies.

One warm summer day as she was playing in the backyard, something unusual began to happen.

Viola noticed small drops of water hovering around her. She peered into them, and the harder she concentrated, the more droplets appeared in the air.

Her eyes sparkled with wonder and joy. She was stunned by this magical phenomenon.

- Mommy, Daddy, look what I can do! - Viola shouted, trying to share her amazing discovery with her parents.

The parents went out into the backyard and saw water droplets actually hovering around their daughter.

They were shocked, for they had no magical powers themselves.

They hugged Viola with pride and wonder.

- This is just incredible, Viola! You have magic! - exclaimed her mother, smiling happily.

We should show this to the local witch, she might be able to help us understand what's going on," the father suggested, embarrassed by the embarrassment.

- suggested the father, looking at his daughter with embarrassment.

The family traveled to the home of the local witch, who lived deep in the woods. The witch, named Elizabeth, was an old and wise woman known for her magical knowledge.

She welcomed the family and invited them into her dark and mysterious room.

- What brings you to me? - Elizabeth asked, looking closely at Viola's parents.

- Our daughter has magic, she can create drops of water in the air," said the father, pointing proudly at Viola.

Elizabeth approached Viola with interest and saw water droplets hovering around the girl. She raised her hand and the drops slowed their movement.

- 'She has a magical gift that is rare and amazing,' the witch said, her gaze piercing deeply into Viola.

- 'We don't know what to do, we don't have magic ourselves,' the mother admitted, feeling mixed feelings.

Don't worry, I will help her develop her abilities," Elizabeth assured her, smiling at Viola.

- Her talent needs to be developed and I suggest sending her to a school for mages where she can learn and develop her magic under the guidance of experienced tutors.

The parents were thrilled with this suggestion, but they knew it was the best thing for their daughter.

They agreed to send Viola to a school for magicians, knowing that she would be safe and able to develop her amazing magical abilities.

So little Viola was accepted into the school for mages, where her talents blossomed and grew stronger every day.
