The concert ended with the band's farewell song and giving their regards to the audience. Karen stood up to go to his tent.
Realizing where he was going, Jame said, "The events continue. Do not leave so early. At least go and grab something to eat" while he was following Karen down the tribunes.
"Thanks, dude. You go and have fun with others. You know me, I have to be on my way early in the morning." He said goodbye to Jame at the top of the stairs and started walking towards the tents. After all, he was going to leave early, probably would not be able to see Jame.
Thinking about it, the woman came to his mind. If she did not find him within an hour, he would have given up hope and set off already. He would apologize for being late when he arrived. There was nothing to do.
Walking slowly with these thoughts, he saw the woman leaning against a tent by the side of the road. He was ashamed of his earlier thoughts.
As Amy saw Karen's expression, she asked him what happened. Karen said, "I thought you weren't coming, that you were messing with me." While admitting what he thought, he apologized.
"I thought you wouldn't trust me either and would leave early. We're on the same bot now," said Amy with a smile on her face. They both stood there for a while, smiling. Then Amy asked, "Well, aren't we going?" Karen pointed the way and the two of them started walking side by side.
When they came to the tent, Karen showed her where Amy could sleep by pointing out the empty place that she could use right beside his. Then he turned on the gas lamp on the table. After Amy put her bag down where she could use it tonight, she began to examine the tent.
The tent was one of the largest tents around showing just how wealthy Karen and his friend were. Renting such a big tent meant going on at least four medium missions for Amy. Like the tent itself, its furniture was large and luxurious too.
The tent was divided in two by a big curtain and whatever was in this section was also on the other side. A chest with beverage and food, a bed that can fit two people comfortably, a wardrobe, a mini table...
There were even two bathrooms inside the tent, although she did not quite understand how a plumbing system in a tent could be. The only thing breaking the symmetry of the tent were a dozen books next to Karen's bed.
After she finished looking around, she turned around and saw Karen getting something to drink from the chest. While Karen was opening the lid of the fruit juice, he asked her if she wanted something to drink. He told Amy that she could use anything here whenever she wanted.
Amy said she did not want anything to drink, thanked him, then asked permission to check over the books.
Karen was a little surprised that a woman, or rather a soldier, was only interested in books in such a luxurious place. If he had brought another woman for another purpose instead, that woman would probably be interested in other things. But after getting permission, Amy immediately crawled into her sleeping bag with a book she had chosen out of a dozen.
A few minutes later, Amy thought "What a bit of luck! It was just a history book. Ever since I could remember I don't understand anything from history." And she left the book where she had taken it. She turned her back and lied down. One more time, Karen thought that Amy acts so naturally and warmly.
"Are you sure that you don't want anything to drink?" asked Karen again. Without turning back again she said, "Thanks but if I drink something right now, I have to get up and pee at night." After hearing her answer, Karen became sure that she was really acting naturally.
When Karen went to the bathroom, Amy took her clothes off and lied down again. It was hard to sleep with her uniform in hot weather. Moreover, she was quite nervous because of the host, who was overly generous and kind.
Amy was still not asleep when Karen returned to the room, but she never turned around. She was afraid of disturbing him, thinking that she might have taken a shower.
A moment later, three people entered Amy's sight. She was startled and looked towards the door.
This startle caught the attention of Karen, who was reading the book in his bed. Looking where Amy was looking, Karen soon began to hear laughters. Then Monro and two other women entered the tent. "She must have heard the laughter before me." thought Karen.
When he saw Karen, Monro said, "Karen! I thought you were leaving. I am so glad to see you here. Ladies let me introduce you to one of my best friends with you, here's Lord Karen!"
Women excitedly said, "Nice to meet you, my lord!"
Even someone from a hundred yards away would understand that all three were drunk. Kept looking at his book Karen said "Nice to meet you, too. I'll be leaving early in the morning, Monro, take care."
Monro said, loudly "Okay man! Farewell!" then he went to the other side of the tent with ladies. It would seem like there would be quite an interesting fun on the other side.
"Lord Karen!" was echoing in Amy's mind. She could not believe that she really met with the Lord of West. This generous man was really William Eldrich Karen Miler?
She thought of the general to whom works under him. This man was her general's son, but she could not say they looked alike. Then she thought of the general's daughter, Coordinator Reira Miler. This man looked just like her.
She remembered what she thought at the beginning of the concert, "At worst, I would kill him." She made fun of herself and felt so embarrassed. There was no way to kill someone from the top ten.
Amy should have guessed from the start someone who had such strong energy might be someone very important. Perhaps the dandy on the other side of the tent was also someone important too...Maybe he was one of the top ten too?
She took a deep breath and tried to relax. That worked a little. At least she heard that Lord of the West is not an enemy of the organization. Thinking that really relaxed her. As this big and calm energy was getting bigger, it started to make Amy forget about other tiny bits of energies and cleansed her mind. Amy started to feel sleepier.
Karen was glad she did not react when she heard his name. He was afraid that she might misunderstand him. He did not want her to think he had bad intentions. Of course, the woman could have been asleep too and maybe that was why she did not react at all.
He continued to read his book, but Monro and those two gold-diggers did not allow him to read his book in peace. The laughter was so intense at times that Karen worried that there would be too many complaints from other tents. It was useless to put the book down and try to sleep too.
Amy could not sleep either, but it was not the noise that kept her awake but the biggest energy she was sensing was uncomfortable. The noise would be nothing comparing to her tiredness but the sensation of this energy... As Karen's nerves tensed, so did her senses too.
Amy slowly turned towards Karen and asked politely, "Is the book you're reading too tense?"
At first, Karen did not understand the question. Karen asked, "Why did you think so?" trying not to show that he was finding the question strange.
"I thought that... You seem uneasy and I..." Amy was stuttering calmy but also aware of the nonsense that she caused.
Karen thought for a while and sighed, "I'm a little bit annoyed because of the noise." he explained. He was slightly embarrassed as he complained about his friend to his guest.
Due to the intensity of the energy, Amy, who could not notice the changes of emotions well, said, "You have to get up early and he knows it too. He needs to be more thoughtful. Why don't you warn him?"
Karen, "Ah never mind! He is always like this when he is drunk. They may pass out a bit later." explained himself, "More precisely, I do not want to mess around with him. But if you are uncomfortable, you can warn them yourself." he added.
He wanted to see how Amy behaved toward Monro and wanted to make the difference between Amy and those gold diggers clear on his mind.
Amy thought for a while. For the first time in a long time, she would be able to sleep, and she did not want it ruined by three drunks. Then she got up and quickly opened the curtain. "Can you be a little quiet? Do you want to gather all the people around us?" she warned.
As he saw Amy, Monro first stared at her for a few seconds. Then he started to talk while laughing "I don't believe you, Karen! So that is why you stayed tonight, huh? For eating up a wild and tiny gazelle from the organization. That is a big laughingstock, but I will keep my mouth shut for this time dude. It should be normal for you to start with such a little one after a long time."
Hearing this, Amy was both angry and embarrassed. She said to herself "Be patient girl, be patient!" and pulled herself together.
Karen said "You are making a scene man, it's not something like this. She is going to give me a ride tomorrow and she is the one who knows the road well. She has nowhere to stay tonight so I welcomed her." Amy felt more relieved after Karen's explanation.
"It doesn't look like what you say from here," said Monro and started to laugh with women beside him. Amy understood a bit later why he said it. She had taken her clothes off before going to bed and now she was just wearing a tank top and shorts.
The man apparently realized from the tattoo on her arm that she was from the organization. This made her even more embarrassed.
Amy changed the subject to take advantage, said, "I think the only person who should be laughed at here is the person who is having a party at midnight with two hookers beside him, knowing that his friend has to be up early tomorrow."
Hearing this, Monro suddenly got serious and stood up, "This is not true! If Karen was uncomfortable, he would have told me. Isn't it right, Karen?" he asked.
Karen said, "I'm not getting involved. Believe whatever you want. Don't try to involve me when you can't beat each other." said.
Thereupon, Monro got even more serious and said, "Who are you to insult my guests? You little organization rat! Do you know who I am? My name is Monro Mine. I am sure you have heard of this surname. I am Nicolas Mine's son! You better watch your tongue If you want to stay in the organization, you must take back your word and apologize now!"
Hearing this, Amy's nerves tightened even more. Not only was the nervousness caused by tiredness but also this idiot man was worsening her headache.
Amy was surprised. "Are you...ah... Master Nicolas'... son?" she asked.
"Of course! Why do I lie to someone like you?" replied Monro.
Amy was still surprised and said "Oh... I-I cannot b-believe it! I-It's unusual...to meet s-someone like... you in a p-place like this."
Taking that sentence as a compliment, Monro said proudly, "Of course it is!" He liked the change in the woman's behavior.
After hearing what Amy said, Karen was surprised and stood his head up from the book to her. He was very disappointed. Amy had completely changed her behavior when she heard Monro's name. She was admiring him. It was like she would say, "Let's have fun together." Karen wanted to see what would be going to happen even he was very disgusted.
"I still can't believe it," Amy said with a pleasant flair, "I've heard that Master Nicolas' son is very handsome and charismatic, but unfortunately I can't see it because it's dark there. Besides, if you look like your father, I'm sure you're very handsome."
Karen could not believe what he was hearing. Monro laughed and said he was more handsome than his father. More attractively and hotly, Amy wanted him to come to her side of the tent so she could see his face clearly. Monro attracted to her, and he forgot what happened just a few minutes ago and walked to her.
Even the women he brought with him were not able to be seen; their whine was heard. It was understandable because Amy, with her tank top and shorts, had just attracted Monro easily, the women fell from popular esteem.
Monro lifted the curtain and entered the room acting dandier. He leaned back a little and bent over Amy's face, her hands clasped in front of her breasts, admiring Monro.
"My God, look at that chick! I am sorry I doubted your taste for a second, Karen. I couldn't see clearly in the dark, but this girl is stunning!" said Monro and as soon as he said it, he got a punch in the face. Seeing what happened, Karen dropped the book in his hands in surprise.
The punch was so hard that the man collapsed on the other end of the tent. The women started to scream.
Angrily, Amy walked up to Monro and grabbed the collar of his shirt. She pulled him towards her and began to shake.
"Now listen to me, rich boy! I do not care who you are! If you were not a primar right now, I would have beaten you to death. Were you expecting an apology? Let me remind you that when you first saw me, you put me in the same shoes with those hookers beside you. Far from apologizing, I want to spit in your face. Do you know my name and who I am that you threaten? But I know who you are. I know what the hell you are doing here. Pray that you are the son of a nobleman like Master Nicolas, or you would have been disgraced." said Amy in a rage and she went back to the other side of the tent.
She closed the curtain and went to bed. As she saw Karen's shocked face she said, "What are you looking at?"
Karen laughed, "There were acting classes in the organization, right?" he asked.
Amy laughed too and said, "Yeah, it works great, isn't it?"
After about half an hour Amy had fallen asleep. Monro hast left the tent with those two. Actually, he aimed to escape from the tent.
Karen thought he deserved it. He closed the book and looked at the sleeping woman beside him. "Those who spend time with this woman must be having so much fun," he thought. It must be nice to have such a friend.
