"Mother." Er'Xi said to her mother but her mother glared at her, Er'Xi couldn't do anything but take a seat at her desk
"Be respectful towards your teacher." Her mother said to her and Er'Xi just nodded as she sat there staring at her desk
"He is a true god, from the nine heaven realm and has a status that-" Her mother was about to say but Er'Xi cut in
"Yes, Yes. I know that I was wrong. I will be more respectful towards the true god from now on." Er'Xi said to her mother but her mother only sighs
"If you know then you wouldn't be acting like this right now." her mother said to her and turn to look at Tian Qi
"Please, pardon her rudeness. My daughter has been spoiled by her brothers and us as her parents. So much, So that she doesn't know proper manners." Her mother said but Tian Qi smiled at her mother
"That is fine, seeing a fairy like this is refreshing." Tian Qi said to her mother who smiled apologetically at him
"Shall we start our lesson? Let's see your cultivation level." Tian Qi said to them
"Then, please excuse me." Her mother said as she got up and headed toward the door
"Mother...Please don't make me study with such a stern master." Er'Xi pleaded with her mother but her mother shook her head as her father cleared his throat
"Ahem. Ahem! Er'Xi." Her father called out to her and she turned to look at her father from her seat
"But father-" Er'Xi was about to say but her father cut her off
"You will study with true god Tian Qi and there is nothing more to add." Her father said to her, Er'Xi she pouted at her parents
"Fine!" Er'Xi said to her father as she got up and ran out of her study. The two of them turn to apologize to Tian Qi
"I'm so sorry, as you can see. She has quite a temper." Her mother said but Tian Qi only shook his head
"I know how that is, there is a spoiled child in my family too." Tian Qi said as he recall Bai Jue, with the temper of hell's fire he was quite untamed as well and only does as he pleased.
"I'll head out for the day and let it sink in with the princess." Tian Qu said
"Why don't you stay with us? I'll have a wing prepared for you, since the royal school is also close to the castle as well." Her father said and Tian Qi thought about it for a minute and nodded
"Then I will trouble you." Tian Qi said and headed out with her parents.
Later that evening
"Princess, the king and queen asked that you go have dinner." Her spirit bond Mei Mei said to her but Er'Xi said nothing to her, Er'Xi refused to head down to supper with her parents
"Princess." Mei Mei said to her again
"I DON'T WANT TO!" Er'Xi said to Mei Mei but as Mei Mei was about to say something to her, her older brother stopped Mei Mei.
"Your Highness." Mei Mei greeted him, he dismiss her with a wave of his hand and she bow to him before heading out of the room.
"What has gotten my little sister so upset?" Her brother asked her and she looked up at her brother
"Brother Lixin!" Er'Xi called out to her brother, she jumped at her brother and her brother smiled at her.
"Why are you not going to dinner?" Lixin asked her and she sighed
"It's all because of our parents! They want me to study with a true god." Er'Xi said to her brother chuckled
"You should study well, Tainyu, Sicong, Xuesong, Shuchang, and I all know that you are a smart girl. Also, it's not every day that you can be taught by a true god." Her brother said to her but she pulled away from her brother
"Why do I have to learn?! You didn't want to be the heir to the throne even though you're the oldest because you want to live in seclusion. Tainyu just wants to travel and collect wine, and Brother Sicong who's the heir is too strict. Xuesong is a playboy that's barely home and Shuchang is only interested in Wei Qi and finding opponents. Can't I just live without a care?" Er'Xi asked her brother but he only smiled at her
"I understand but you have to also understand that mother and father want you to study well." Her brother said to her as he tucked her hair behind her ears
"Also, you are the only princess of the Phoenix clan, you have to make the Phoniex proud of their only princess, right?" her brother asked her and she sighs
"Fine, but if he turns out to be like the other teachers. Just watch me." Er'Xi said to her brother and he chuckled
"Thank you for listening to me." Her brother said to her and she turned away from him and climbed back into her bed
"Wait, don't you want to come to dinner with me?" her brother asked her but she shook her head
"You've already convinced me to go to class, you can report back to father and mother." Er'Xi said to her brother as she turned away from her brother and closed her eyes.
She actually fell asleep, waking up the following morning, she woke up to Mei Mei waking her up and nagging her to get ready to head out to class.
"Class is not until after noon, why do I have to get up so early?" Er'Xi asked her spirit bond
"Her Highness would like you to go to etiquette class." Mei Mei said to her and she sighs as she, no matter who her mother hire to teach her etiquette would all quit in half a day so her mother has taken it into account to personally teach her.
Er'Xi got up from bed as Mei Mei help her get dressed and headed out to see her mother. Once their lesson was over it was time for her to head back to her study room to wait for true god Tian Qi
Once inside, she looked around and found the true god standing in front of her desk, waiting for her.
"Er'Xi, greet true god Tian Qi." Er'Xi said to him, the true god look up at her and nodded
"Come in and take a seat." Tian Qi said to her and Er'Xi nodded, she walked over to her desk and took a seat.
"First tell me what you know about the history of the nine realms that you know of." Tian Qi asked her and she smiled
"That's something that we all know about! The forefather of the nine heaven realm created the nine realms." Er'Xi said to him but he shook his head
"Even a newborn god knows more than you, it seems." Tian Qi teased her and she glared at him
"These are common knowledge. What more do you want to know when you ask a common question?" Er'Xi asked him with a little sarcasm and he chuckled at her because there has not been any other gods or goddesses, who would talk to him this way other than Yuan Feng who indulge in making fun of the strict Tian Qi.
"Tell me all that you know about before all the gods were created." Tain Qi said to her and she sighs
"The creation of the world and the true gods were the first few being that the forefather of the gods created. True god Qing Mu is made of the first drop of water that the forefather created, True god Bai Ju is made from the fire from the forefather's hell sword that was also used to ignite hell's fire. True god Tian Qi is made from the first earthly dirt which made the earth later and true god Yuan Feng is made from the first gust of wind." Er'Xi said to him and he nodded
"What happened to the hell sword?" Tian Qi asked her
"It should be in the possession of true god Bai Jue." Er'Xi said to him
"What are the platforms that gods and goddesses will ascend to?" Tian Qi asked her and she smiles
"There are the Earth and Heaven platforms where gods and goddesses descend on, the Earth platform which the mortal who has cultivated would ascend on, and the last one is the Heaven platform where the spirits and demon would ascend on." Er'Xi said to him and Tian Qi nodded
"How many gods or goddesses have ascended to the Heaven and Earth platform?" Tian Qi asked her
"There has not been any since the platform was created since ancient times." Er'Xi said to him and he nodded
"That's right. Alright, the next step is to check your cultivation level, come this way." Tian Qi said to her, Er'Xi nodded as she got up from her seat to follow him outside. Once the two of them got out to the small courtyard in front of her study he conjured a magical orb stand
"This is something that I use with the younger gods, goddesses, and spirits to determine their cultivation level. You pour your magic into it." Tian Qi said to her, Er'Xi nodded as she walk over to the orb and poured her magic into it
"Stop." Tian Qi said to her, Er'Xi did as she was instructed but she turned to look at her teacher
"...What's wrong?" Er'Xi asked him and he smile at her
"Your cultivation class seems to be very deep and your spiritual root is sturdy but it doesn't seem like you're running out of energy or power." Tian Qi said to her, Er'Xi crooked her head in question to what he said and he smiles
"What I'm saying is that if you cultivate and learn well, you might ascend to the nine heavens." Tian Qi said to her and Er'Xi smile
"That's praise, right?" Er'Xi asked him, Tian Qi smile at her and gently nodded
"Yes, it is indeed." Tian said to her and she smiled up at him
Tian Qi reported back to her parents about what the orb showed him, the possibility that Er'Xi can ascend to the nine-heaven realm and his questions about her core.
"She's not like any other fairy or gods and goddesses. Her powers didn't seem to be running out as if she can keep drawing it out, has she always been this way?" Tian Qi asked her parents and the two looked at each other for a long while before they nodded to each other
"Once in a million years, a child might be born into the Phoenix clan with great power and it is believed that the child will become the great phoenix. In the past, my great-great-great-grandfather was said to be the bearer of the phoenix mark and it was also him that helped the forefather of the nine heaven realm end the war with the demon realm." The king said to Tian Qi
"And when my daughter was born, unlike her brothers before her. Her egg was marked by the same mark as our founder and hatched not too long after her delivery." Her mother said to him and Tian Qi nodded, the phoenix clan does not give birth but instead they lay their eggs and it will take a year before the egg will hatch. So for her egg to hatch right after being laid was something that was unheard of.
"She may be a hidden gem." Tian Qi said to them and the two of them smile, from that day on Tian Qi set a big goal for Er'Xi in the hopes that she would ascend to the nine heaven realm to help him out in his palace.
