THE FIFTH ELEMENT 🌊🔥🌪️⛰️☯️
Chapter 3...
After school that day, I waited for my mother to come pick me up from school but after waiting for an hour, I decided to take a bus back home.
How could she forget to come pick me up on my first day at school...
I sigh inwardly before boarding the bus.
**
After some minutes, I got to my destination and dropped off.
I saw some neatly parked black SUV cars in front of my house.
'Who could these people be'. I thought to myself.
I slowly walk towards the front door and put my ears besides the door in order to hear what was happening inside but I couldn't make out anything from what I was hearing.
After failing at hearing anything that was being said, I went towards the window to take a peek at who was inside our house.
I saw two huge men wearing black suits, but their broad shoulders were covering every other person that was inside.
Judging From the way they were standing, they must be bodyguards or something.
I finally summoned the courage to open up the door.
Immediately I opened the door, there was absolute silence, the two huge men turned their heads to face me. I was finally able to see the other people that was inside the house.
My mother, One middle aged woman with jet black hair that could be my mom's age, A bald man and Another middle aged woman with dirty blonde hair.
I looked over to the side, and I saw even more bodyguards.
'Who are all these people? Last time I checked my mom didn't have any friends, not any that I know of.' I thought to myself.
There was someone else there, A boy. He caught my attention with his Blonde hair, almost white. There was something about his features that made him look unique.
I noticed him scrunch his eyebrows together and I moved my eyes away from him immediately.
He must have caught me staring.
"Honey, you're back. I'm so sorry I forgot to pick you up." my mom said when her eyes met mine.
"It's okay mom. What's going on?" I asked curiously looking from one person to another.
"Um. Cassie, I want you to meet some people." my mom said nervously.
"Cassidy Fairchild. Oh child, look how much you've grown." The woman with dirty blonde hair said and came towards me to hold me on my cheeks. I backed away from her just as quickly.
"I'm sorry I don't really like it when people touch me. Especially strangers." I say trying to sound as apologetic as I can and the woman only nodded and smiled.
"Mel? How much does the child know?" the jet black haired woman asked my mom while staring directly at me.
"She has zero knowledge of it all." My mom answered the lady with her head bowed down.
"Mom. What's going on?" I asked my mom again, this time walking towards her.
"Honey, just don't say anything. I'll explain everything to you later. I promise." my mom replied reassuringly.
I frowned at my mom.
"Child, I believe you've had your eighteenth birthday, yes?" the blonde woman asked.
"Yeah? A few weeks ago. Who are you people?" I said to the blonde woman.
It seemed she was the most approachable of all.
"You will find out soon enough. When you follow us home." the dark haired woman answered instead.
I turned over to look at her as if she was crazy.
"Excuse me? What do you mean by follow you home. Last time I checked, I'm home already." I said while looking at the dark haired woman.
"Mel. Do well to tell the child the necessary things she needs to know. Before tomorrow. We no longer have time at our hands, she needs to know who she is and be able to properly defend herself when the time comes." the dark haired woman said to my mom sternly.
I was so lost on what she was saying.
Defend myself against what?
Who am I?
Suddenly the guests started leaving our house one after the other.
Each of them gave me a weird look before leaving.
The beautiful boy gave me one last look before closing the door after him.
I walked closer to my mom and said, "What the hell is going on mom?"
