Chapter 8....πŸ”₯🌊

'Scientifically and logically this is impossible' I thought to myself.

I kept looking at the tree with amazement.

"As much as I would love for us to stay out here and gawk at my creation, we really have to get you settled in. I don't want my mom to get mad and besides people are beginning to stare at us." Madeline said to me.

I was finally able to stop looking at the tree and faced her.

"Ok. Sure. But you have to tell me more about this school, If not everything." I said to her and she smiled.

"It would be my absolute pleasure. Come on let's go." Madeline said and led the way once again.

I just followed behind.

***

We got a lot of stares from several people, and I saw most people whispering to each other while staring at me.

I felt like hiding due to all the stares I was getting.

"Why are they all staring at us?" I asked Madeline as I rushed to walk beside her instead of behind.

"They're not staring at us. They're staring at you." she said to me.

"Yeah? But why?" I was curious.

"You see everyone around here have heard rumors about someone possessing the fifth element. And the elementals have been fusing about your coming for a long time. Plus rumors about you coming in has spread already. You're a new face, so people will figure out it's you." Madeline explained.

"So you people think I have some sort of magical powers? Don't you think I would know or notice if I can make trees magically grow just by the tap of my fingers?" I asked sarcastically.

"That's because you don't have the earth element. You have none of the four elements. You have a rare type of element. The fifth element." she said to me.

"What is it then? What is this fifth element?" I asked in aspiration.

"You tell me. You're the one that possesses it." she replied.

"Then how come I know nothing about it. I mean what if you guys got the wrong person?" I asked.

"The elementals never makes a mistake." she replied.

"Right. Because they're divine or something?" I said sarcastically.

"Just don't worry about it. You're meant to be here. My mom is sure of it and I trust her. And besides we're here already." Madeline said and stopped abruptly in front of a door in a hallway.

"Here? Where's here?" I asked looking around.

"Our dorm!" she said cheerfully with her arms wide open.

"Oh. Are we gonna be staying together?" I asked her.

"Yeah!. We're going to be roomies. How about that." she said and unlocked the door with the keys she was holding.

I hesitated for a second before going inside the room with her.

When I entered the room, it didn't look like what I was expecting one bit.

It looked so well furnished, Two beautiful medium sized beds were sitting inches away from each other.

Reading tables and chairs at each corners of the room. There was even a mini sitting area with comfy looking sofas.

There was a sophisticated looking bathroom as well.

The room was one of the most beautiful rooms I've seen in a while.

"Wow. This is actually not bad at all." I said out loud.

"I knew you would like it. I decorated the room myself when I heard you were coming. I'm glad my hard work paid off." Madeline said sounding proud of herself.

"You did great." I said to her.

"Thank you!" she replied.

"So which one is your bed?" I asked her and she pointed out the one at the left.

"That one."she said.

"Okay then." I said and went towards my own bed. I laid down for a minute before recalling that I don't have my things with me.

"Wait...I don't have any of my stuff, it was packed but I don't know where they are now." I said to Madeline when I sat up.

"Don't worry, they're here already. In your wardrobe. It was brought in when you were still at the clinic." she said and went over to her own bed to relax.

"Oh. Right." I said and went over to the wardrobe to open it.

I saw my bags neatly arranged inside.

I thought about my mom and how she was doing right now.

I wondered if she was worried sick.

I opened one of my bags and took out one of my clothes.

"Hey I'm going to go take a shower." I said to Madeline and she nodded.

I went into the shower and took a long bath.

I kept thinking about everything that has happened so far.

Is this my life now?

***

After I changed my clothes into a better one. Madeline offered to take me to the cafeteria to get some food.

The staring continued when we got to the cafeteria.

After getting our food on the tray, we went to sit at a table where other students with the green uniform was sitting.

"Oh my god Maddie. Is this....." one of girls sitting there said and Madeline replied quickly

"Yes it is she."

I looked over to Madeline and she quickly looked away.

"Oh my god, it's such an honor to meet you. I'm Stacy, what about you?" the girl asked me.

"Cassie." I said quietly while focused on my food.

I was really hungry.

"Cassie. That is such a beautiful name. I'm David by the way." one of the guys said.

"Nice to meet you Cassie. I'm richie." the second guy said with a smile.

"And I'm Monique. It's also an honor to meet you. We've heard so much about you." the last girl said.

"Thank you. All of you." I said to them awkwardly.

Madeline was about to say something when some boys started fighting in the cafeteria.

One of the boys with a jet black hair made a ball of water and splashed it on the other boy with full speed. The other boy with almost white hair got angry and then made a fire ball and threw it at his opponent.

The water boy's shirt caught fire due to the impact and he created a spiral of water and gushed it on himself.

"I'm going to drown you from the inside, you piece of shit!" the water boy yelled at the other guy.

"And I'm going to burn you down to ashes. How about we try and see which one would be more lethal and painful." the fire boy said with no much stress.

I thought hard about why the fire guy looked so familiar to me and I finally remembered.

He was the handsome boy that came with the elementals to my house that day.

How could I ever forget that face.

I stared hard at him, willing for him to turn and look at me and suddenly he turned to where I was standing and our caught each others.

He looked somewhat shocked to see me. Like he was in a trance.

I didn't look away this time and neither did he.

Suddenly a heavy form of water shaped like a hand punched him hard to the point he fell on the floor.

Next thing I knew, people wearing a different uniform that looked like security uniforms came into the cafeteria and dragged the two boys out with them.

He stared at me one last time he was pushed out of the cafeteria.

I bet he recognized me too.
