"Your people, including Kayla, believe that we cannot mate," I said.
"I wish they knew how many times we have mated," replied Jordan playfully. "They will keep doubting until we have our first child."
"Are you not worried that the child would be human?" I asked.
"No, not anymore," answered Jordan, glancing up at the continuously blinking intercom light. I looked up too.
"You should have rejected her a long time ago and set her free from the torment of your pheromones," I said with a hushed tone.
"I wanted to, but the goddess warned me against rejecting her. Then, as a traditional werewolf, I was trained to believe that rejecting one's mate goes against the will of the goddess and would bring dishonor to my pack and hers. I feel a strong sense of duty to follow the path set out for me by my ancestors and the moon goddess," Jordan said with a hushed tone.
