Chapter 23 - "Wolves Don't Bark!" 2

"I think I wanna rest now, you may leave!" Camellia said to Eliza as she nodded and made hed way out.

With her alone in the room, Camelia then stood up and walked towards the window at the side of the room.

How much she missed home! Alot of things have happened these past few days, How the hell would she have one day thought that she would be in such a place.

Sighing, Camelia was just about to turn around when she saw a shadow from the bushes. She she immediately remembered the incident that had happened that night.

"Could it be Logan?" She thought as she then looked around to see if anyone was around and with the surroundings clear she then gently jumped down from the window.

Thankfully the inn wasn't that big so the window wasn't that far away from the Ground.

With her out, she then lifted up her dress and walked quietly towards where she saw the Shadow.

As she walked closer and closer, the shadow moved and she followed with without a single thought.

Soon she found her self in the dark forest onky the slight reflection of the full moon guiding her way.

In the dusky stillness of the forest, the moon's pale light cast eerie shadows amidst the sprawling trees.

Camellia, her heart pounding in her chest, found herself suddenly caught in a terrifying encounter. Two fierce wolves, their eyes gleaming with a predatory hunger, charged towards her.

Fear gripped her as she searched frantically for an escape, her eyes darting from one menacing creature to the other.

Just when it seemed that all hope was lost, a figure materialized from the darkness. A woman, with fair skin that glowed in the moonlight, her long chestnut hair cascading down her shoulders in waves, emerged with an air of confidence.

The woman's golden eyes flickered with determination as she unsheathed a gleaming sword, poised to face the imminent danger. In that moment, Camellia's panic transformed into awe, witnessing the bravery and strength radiating from her savior.

With a resounding battle cry, the woman lunged forward, her swift movements and expert swordplay evident. Each swing of her blade was calculated and purposeful, warding off the ferocious wolves with her deft skill and unwavering resolve.

As the wolves growled and snapped, their fur bristling with aggression, the woman's movements were as graceful as they were fierce. The clash of steel against bone echoed through the night, as the woman fought valiantly to protect Camellia from harm's way.

With each decisive strike, the wolves were forced to retreat, their tails tucked between their legs. Defeated, they slinked away into the depths of the forest, leaving Camellia and her savior in an air of triumphant relief.

And it was no one other than Rachel.

"Y-you aren't you one of those Knights?" Camellia asked as she was stunned.

With an annoyed expression, Rachel scolded, "Yes I am, What the hell afd you doing here so late? What if something had happened to you? Can't you stay in a place!"

She said as laughed embarrassingly, "Hey! Don't shout at Me, how was I supposed to know that there would be some wolves here!"

"Well whatever, next time don't wonder off like that, go back to the inn!" Rachel said as she turned around to leave and seeing that, Camellia quickly Caught up with her as she held her hand.

"Ah! Don't leave me here Pretty knight! I don't know my way back and anyway, you saw how knows wolves barked at me, what if they come back!"

Camellia said scared as Rachel rolled her eyes, "Firstly, my name isn't Pretty Knight, it's Rachel and second 'Wolves don't Bark' they are not dogs, why will you say that? Sigh!"

"Whatever, Sigh! I wanna stay out a little longer, stay with me!" She whined like a baby. Guess Camelia was used to getting everything she wanted.

After all, in other for her not to try to escape, her parents always gave her everything she wanted and shs had formed that habit.

"I'm not staying, and those wolves would surely come back so you better go back to the inn!" Rachel said removing Camellia's hands from her arm as she turned around to leave.

Ish!

She then paused in her footsteps as she turned around to see Camelia laying on the ground and she panickingly made her way to her.

She held her but Camelia was burning, she was having a fever!

Without wasting anymore time, Rachel carried her towards the inn As she went to her room and placed her on the bed.

Eliza and some Knights who had seen them entering in quickly ran towards them.

"What's wrong with the Lady?" Eliza asked as she panicked.

"I don't know, I think she has a fever, she just fainted!"

"Call a physician!"
