ARROWS POV

Two months, that's how long it had been without Scarlett, how long it had been since I'd come back from the dining room to find her gone. She hadn't been anywhere on campus, she had just vanished. It's not like we didn't know who took her, we just don't know where he took her, or how he was able to get into campus. It was pure fucking torture, my brothers and I were all spiraling, Chaos had taken it the hardest, we had hardly seen since she disappeared, but that didn't mean he wasn't watching, he was always watching.

"Where the fuck could she be?" River's pained voice comes from my left, his eyes haunted, shoulders slumped and his hair disheveled and matted as if he hadn't brushed it in a week. I know I probably look just as bad as he does, if not worse.

"Someone on campus knows something." Shadow snarls from the doorway, his lavender hair pulled back into a low pony tail. I nod in agreement, it was the only explanation as to how she got off campus unnoticed. I grin cracking my knuckles, "We have work to do boys" a wicked glint in my eye.

I watch as Shadow slowly pulls the blade out of the guy strapped to the table, I can't bother to remember his name, it's not important. We're in the warehouse now, where we've spent the last hour trying to get answers. It didn't matter if they squealed or not we killed them anyway. It was sort of cathartic for all of us.

"This is getting us nowhere!" I exclaim after a moment, even with the threat of death no one was talking. How could no one have seen anything? I close my eyes trying to center my breathing. "Get rid of him, and then we need a family meeting." I meet River and Shadows gazes, the nod their heads acknowledging I mean Dad included.

"Boys" Dad sighs as we walk into the kitchen after disposing of yet another body.

"If you don't stop there will be no one left at this school." He's not really mad, he would rather we used the knives on others than the alternative, which he knew all to well we were willing to do.

"I'll stop when I have her back." Shadow growls surprising me. He hadn't seemed too keen on her before. Did he know something? I meet his gaze trying to ask the question with my eyes. He gives an almost imperceptible shake of his head.

"Alix has her, that much has been confirmed." Dad starts and I sit forward. He raises a hand cutting me off. "We don't know exactly where he is hiding her, Your Uncle Dan has an idea though." Dad says and I swear my heart feels like it's in my throat.

"Where?" I manage to choke out.

"Lyca." I frown, wolf territory? It was too obvious, he had to know we would look for her there.

"Arrow, just trust us okay?" Dad asks, I know he's trying his best, that he's falling apart too but I can't take it anymore.

"No." I pause meeting his gaze. "I'm sorry Dad, but I can't just sit here anymore! I love her Dad, more than anything, she's the reason I breathe, she always has been, you saw what losing her did to me the first time, and I love you Dad but if I don't go out and look for her it will end me!" I slam my fist on the table. Rattling the dishes, I hear Shadow and River's shocked gasps. Dad nods at me, his eyes glazed with tears.

"Arrow, just wait until tomorrow okay?" He sighs sounding resigned. I blow out a breath, it's better than nothing.

"What did I miss?" Chaos asks slipping into the kitchen. I glare at home. Where the fuck had he been and why did he look so smug?

"Going in search of Scarlett tomorrow, off campus, anywhere off campus." I stress the words.

"Count me in." He grabs a beer from the fridge, before taking his seat at the table. I lean back, taking them in, "I think we need to start at our old house." I say. Silence hangs thick in the air as all eyes turn to me.

"The wolves want her dead simply because of her heritage, he wouldn't risk taking her to their territory." Thankfully they begin to nod in agreement.

"First thing tomorrow then." I say turning back to my food. I just hoped I was right, I needed her back. I wasn't sure how much longer I could go without her, now that I had lost her again.

Chaos disappears into the shadows as soon as we get back. I know we are all dealing with this in our own way but I miss my brother, we had hardly seen him in two months, he was always slinking off into the shadows, which really wasn't unlike him, not since he had found me. I shudder at the memory, a part of my wishing he had just left me.

"I'm in love with her." I whisper to River, later that night. He had moved his bed in here with me the night Scarlett disappeared.

"Me too brother." Comes the muffled reply.

"You know she's never been able to choose just one of us, even when we tried to make her pick a favorite best friend when we were eight." I frown. Did he want her to date all of us? Dad apparently did it with mom, I would have to talk to him, but I wasn't opposed to the idea, not if it meant I had Scarlett. "Arrow, we will find her, please just hold on a little longer. If not for your brothers for Scarlett, she would never forgive herself."

"I will if you do." I respond knowing he's closer to the edge than I am.
