Chapter 6 - Chapter Six

SHADOWS POV

She's here, I can smell her, I would know that cotton candy and watermelon scent anywhere. I don't think I only react, walking over to a bare wall, barely noticing the muddy footprints. I slam my first into the wall, revealing a fucking door, what the fuck? This definitely wasn't here when we built this fucking warehouse.

Her scent hits me, stronger now, I can just make out someone breathing on the other side of the door, heart in my chest I fling the door open, rushing inside. A soft whimper sounds from my right, I whip around, my eyes landing on a form huddled in a ball on a to small cot.

"Scarlett" I breathe rushing to her side. I stop to my knees at the side of her bed, Arrow and River appearing on either side of me, tears in their eyes as they take in the sight before them.

She lifts her head up weakly, blinking bleary eyes at us, where the fuck was Alix. I glance around the room noting it's otherwise empty, the bathroom door stands up, no one inside. I reach out and brush a strand of Scarlett's hair behind her ear, she flinches at the touch, "Scar, please it's me." I whisper as she lets out another whimper.

"Shadow?" My name is only a whisper on her lips, but it's still there.

"Arrow, River and I will get you out of here, you just have to come with us." I keep my voice low, "Chaos?" Her soft voice comes again and my heart clenches.

"He's not here, he's with Dad." She seems to relax at this, I can't afford to think too much on it right now though, my focus is getting her out of here before Alix comes back.

"Fuck this shit!" Arrow growls, scooping Scarlett up into his arms, who lets out a soft squeak of surprise. Before relaxing into his arms. My wolf huffs out a protest, but otherwise remains silent, as we make our way out of the strange room that appeared in our warehouse, a million questions playing on a loop in my mind.

I sit on the couch at Dads, Scarlett nestled in my lap. We had decided to bring her here, instead of the dorm room, for more privacy, she didn't need all the prying eyes right now. Arrow and River sit on either side of me as we explain to Dad where we found her, it wasn't much, but at least now we had confirmation that someone in this school was working with Alix.
