"Bonjour, Monsieur Ryan McCarthy, it's a pleasure to meet you!" greeted Henry Dunant in his Parisian office. "Sorry, my desk is a shambles; the spring fashion show is approaching, and I'm still deciding on the design that will be performed later."
"Bonjour! I apologize for interrupting your work, Monsieur Henry Dunant. I came to ask about Serena."
"Pardon?" He removed his glasses, shocked to learn the cause of his visit to Paris. "I thought Serena was with you at this time!"
Damn. Ryan McCarthy struggled to speak. It turns out that his wife has yet to arrive in this city! His head was becoming increasingly jumbled as he tried to figure out where Serena lived in Europe.
"She left a few days ago from New York; I assumed she was returning to work at your fashion house."
"No, your wife did not contact me until now, despite the fact that I had been waiting for her children's clothing design to be corrected again."
