The next morning Noah prepared to head off with his friends to find a new job, As he goes to kiss Alana goodbye,he overhears her conversation with her mother on the phone.
ALANA: (Sniffles) I thought you'd be happy for me
MUM: And why would I be happy my daughter's gonna be having the child of a rapist?, just pray it's not gonna be a girl, because who knows if that man might be a pedophile as well!
ALANA: Jesus!..Mum, why would you even say something like that?, Noah is not..
MUM: Oh please,don't start with the whole, 'hes a good guy speech' again I beg you!,.. anyways,when my grandchild is born,he or she will be staying with me.
ALANA: But..But mum you can't do that , I..
MUM: (hangs up)
ALANA: (Sobs)
Noah comes to comfort her
ALANA: It's okay, we should get going
NOAH: Honey, I can stay with you at the clinic though, I'll bring you back home then after and then I'll go.
ALANA: no no, really,it's fine,let's go.
On their way leaving,just a few steps from the door Alana collapses, Noah was able to catch her before she fell to the ground and he hurriedly rushed her back inside and calls a doctor.
In a few minutes the Doctor arrives and checks Alana,and he assured Noah that fainting is very common during pregnancy and she must've just been a bit stressed is all, moments later Alana waked up and Noah is relieved. The Doctor gives Noah some tips to keep a healthy pregnancy before taking his leave.
NOAH: How are you feeling now?
ALANA: A little bit tired but I'm okay (she said softly)
NOAH: Listen,I'm gonna call Lexi to come keep you company while I go with the guys okay?, I really need a means of income while we're expecting this baby,the Doctor advised some foods, fruits and vitamins we need to get you
ALANA: Noah,you need to relax, I'll be fine,don't worry, I feel much better now, really.
Noah takes Alana's phone to call Lexi who arrived in a matter of minutes, leaving his wife with her friend he meets up with his friends at 'Cape street' where they are all sat on a bench with long faces
NOAH: Hey guys, sorry I'm a little late, what's wrong?, what's with all the long faces?
DIEGO: Well, we all went sperate places looking for a job,I went to a clothing company and...

DIEGO: (Hands over his ID and papers)
MAN: Wait..you're Diego Valaquez??
DIEGO: uh yeah,have you heard..
MAN: no..I..I haven't heard anything (he says with a shaky tone as fear crosses his face) I um.. I'm sorry but there's no job openings left,the signboard was a mistake,I'm so sorry
DIEGO: A mistake? (he scoffed as he shook his head in disappointment)

DIEGO:I mean, I don't blame him, maybe if I had done things differently,I wouldn't be in this situation.
ADE: Yeah but we can't change the past can we?,I actually thought I'd have a better chance I mean come on, all I did was rob a few stores..geez
CHRISTIAN: (chuckles) And yet you thought it was a good idea to go looking for a job at a store?
ADE:But hey I'm a changed man,why can't people believe that
DIEGO: But I mean, we'll keep searching...what about you?, any job in mind?
NOAH: um well, I was thinking of going to find work in that hospital Crown street, I hear they're hiring hospital aides
ADE: You wanna go work on a hospital?
NOAH: Yeah, I can actually get a job with just my high school diploma
CHRISTIAN: Yeah,that doesn't sound like a bad idea, Except they don't really pay aides so well
NOAH: Yeah but I gotta start somewhere,it's better that nothing right?
CHRISTIAN: Yeah i guess you're right, well..(gets up) let's get going then
Noah and his friends arrive at 'Claire's care' hospital, Noah goes in while his friends wait outside, wth directions and procedures he's taken to the co- ordinators office where a Lady , a doctor and a senior nurse is sitting filling some paperwork
NOAH: I'm hello, I'm sorry for interrupting but I'm here to apply for a hospital aide?
LADY: (still signing)
SENIOR NURSE: Oh I'm sorry, we don't have any job openings here, or..do we?
DOCTOR: No, I don't think so, all our staffs rr accounted for, we're not hiring right now
NOAH: oh but I saw the sign yesterday so I thought..
DOCTOR: oh yeah, that was..a mistake, I'm sorry
As the Doctor explains to Noah the lady raises her head up and us immediately dazzled on see Noah and she admires him.
NOAH: oh alright, thanks so much though
DOCTOR: Yeah take care
NOAH: (turns to leave)
LADY: Wait! (she yells out)
Noah turns around confused as the lady walked up to him
LADY: Mannerless are we?, you couldn't even have said hello to the head of this establishment? (she said proudly)
DOCTOR: (rolls his eyes)
NOAH: Oh..Mrs Claire?
CLAIRE (chuckles) It's Miss Claire, I'm still single (she replies with a wink)
NOAH: Oh I'm sorry, I just thought..
CLAIRE:Oh I know, such a stunning lady with breathtaking features of beauty,they're no way she's single (she replies flipping her hair back )
SENIOR NURSE: Oh good Lord..(she rolled her eyes)
CLAIRE: (Turns to her with a glare) why are you both still here?
DOCTOR: (Sighs) come on Angie,let's go. (The Doctor said before leaving with the senior Nurse)
CLAIRE: (turns back to Noah with a smile) Come on,let's sit down
NOAH: okay.
CLAIRE: Won't you introduce yourself?
NOAH: (face palms) pardon me, where are my manners,..Noah Williams, nice to meet you.
CLAIRE: Claire Care, nice to meet you too.
NOAH: oh..your name is .. actually..Care?
CLAIRE: Yes, is there something wrong with it?
NOAH: No no, it's a.. lovely name(he said trying to stifle his laughter)
CLAIRE: So sweet, thank you..so tell me Noah,you said you were looking for a job?
NOAH: Yeah, I was hoping to become an aide here, but the Doctor said..
CLAIRE: pfft, don't listen to George,he's an idiot.
NOAH: oh
CLAIRE: (thinks for a moment) okay, you won't be able to get a job as a hospital aide but you can as an orderly
NOAH: An orderly?
CLAIRE: What?, don't you like it?
NOAH: No, it's just that, Orderlies..
CLAIRE: The pay is 80 dells per hour
'Noah's Jaw drops'
CLAIRE: (chuckles) It's a big hospital, so ofc our workers get paid very well
NOAH: Th..That's amazing
CLAIRE: Have you had any medical training or experience?
NOAH: um no, not really, but I'm a fast learner heh
CLARE: you're cute(she giggles as she fills some documents and hand over to Noah) here, submit this to Emily downstairs, she'll direct you to where you'll submit everything needed
NOAH: Okay thanks but I..I just wanted to let you know that uh, I have a criminal record of raping someone
CLAIRE: (Chuckles) you don't look like you could rape anyone
NOAH: Well I didn't,but I went to prison for I didn't do and my former boss just passed away,his kids aren't a huge fan of ex cons and I really need this job to support my family
CLAIRE: relax Noah, you'll get the job don't worry (she says with a smile)
After saying their goodbyes Noah leaves the office but us stopped by the Doctor from earlier
NOAH: oh hey Doc..
DOC. GEORGE: Hey..so did you get the job?
NOAH: Well she assured me I will but I still have alot of forms to fill and documents to submit,but..I'm happy.(he says with glee)
DOC. GEORGE: hmm..Noah right?
NOAH: Yes.
DOC. GEORGE: I'm gonna give you some advice, go find work elsewhere, maybe in another hospital,but not here
NOAH: (confused) I..I don't understand Doc,why?
DOC. GEORGE: Just take my advice,if you don't, you'll regret it, trust me..
Just then a young Nurse walks to to the George with some papers in hand
NURSE: Doctor, you're needed in cubicle 7 urgently!, You've been in Miss Claire's office for hours,there's so much work to be done! (she said storming off)
NOAH: Listen Doc, if this is about Miss Claire?,if you guys are dating or anything like that you don't have to worry about me,I'm a married man.
DOC. GEORGE: what do I look like,some jealous teenager?, ,you seem like a nice guy Noah,just be careful. (he said before walking away)
A short while later Noah leaves too, moments later a young lady dressed in an orderly uniform goes into Claire's office
ORDERLY: Dr Claire, you called for me?
CLAIRE: (smiles) You're fired. (she stated bluntly)
Not long later, Noah walks out of the hospital and tells his friends what happened,and they congratulate him
NOAH: Come on guys, I haven't gotten the job yet so, let's just be hopeful
ADE: Yeah but hey, stay clear from that George guy,he seems strange
DIEGO: Nah, the strange thing is the owner of this prestigious hospital gave you a job just like that (he said snapping his fingers) I mean,there wasn't even an interview..that's weird.
ADE: That's luck!
NOAH: No That's...called a miracle, and I'm grateful I got one, I'm sure you guys will get one too
DIEGO: Yeah Amen brother,but still, be careful
The rest of the guys go in with their search for a new job while Noah heads back home and spends the rest of the day with Alana.
At night, they both go to bed and Noah has a Terrible nightmare.
In the Nightmare, Noah is on the floor crying uncontrollably holding his head in deep anguish.
'No..not again,not again' he mutters..suddenly he's approached by 5 figured, 4 were men whom he was familiar with and the last one was a woman,who's face was still hidden in the shadows, They all begin to laugh maniacally while Noah trembled in fear.
Noah frantically wakes up with a scream panting heavily startling Alana awake.
ALANA: What happened??, what's wrong?
NOAH: (pants) I..no,.. nothing, it was just a bad dream
ALANA: Oh Lord have mercy, But you haven't had those nightmares for some months now,..are you alright my Love?
'Noah sits in silence as he tries to catch his breath,getting up from the bed,he walked over to the kitchen to drink some water and Alana follows behind him)
ALANA: deep breaths honey..
NOAH: (sighs) thank you,it's alright,I'm fine,I'm sorry if I scared you
ALANA: It's okay how about you take a shower, relax for a bit so you can go to bed, I don't want you up all night again (she said with concern)
Noah nods and does as Alana suggested, Alana also made some herbal tea she gave Noah after he was done showering,some minutes passed and Noah fell back asleep with Alana beside him on the bedroom floor.
