Noah stayed in the same melancholic state he was for weeks, he rarely spoke to anyone, he rather just sit alone lost in his own thoughts, feeling broken and depressed, he rarely took a showered and never came out of the house. Alana brought in several therapists to help but all to no avail.
It's August 10th, exactly four weeks after the incident, with no changes and no emotional response from Noah, Mrs Brave was able to convince her daughter to move out for the sake of the unborn child, she's been out of the house for 2 weeks now, the following day after she decides to pay Noah a visit, and she finds him sitting on the floor in his bedroom with a Robox cube at hand.
ALANA: ...So how long exactly do you play on staying like this?
NOAH: ....(no response)
ALANA: It's been a WHOLE MONTH!,I mean..look at you Noah, You look..awful! And you've lost so much weight! For God's sake, is this how you want your child to meet his father?..
NOAH: ....
ALANA: Noah in less than three weeks our child will be born...is this how you want him to see you! (She yells as tears stream down her eyes)
NOAH: ...(sobs)
ALANA: I mean, what could have possibly happened?, What was so horrible that you couldn't confide in me, your WIFE!, Your only family!, You watched me walk out of this house and you did.. NOTHING!, is that how little I meant to you!??( She cried)
NOAH: Ofcourse not (he replied somberly as a tear escapes his eyes)
ALANA: Well that's what it seems like to me!, ....(sobs) and after all I sacrificed for you, all that we've been through and all for what?...(Sniffles)..you know what, this marriage is...is...(groans)
Alana suddenly felt a sharp pain in her stomach and a weird feeling coarsed through her body. Noah turns to her in concern.
NOAH: Wh..what's wrong?
ALANA: I..I think my water just broke (she said weakly as she falls to the floor but Noah catches her seconds before she hits the ground.
NOAH: Oh my God, um, don't worry, you..you'll be fine (he stammers nervously)
Noah carries Alana to the living room and rests her on the couch while he calls the ambulance, but before he could, Diego arrives in the nick of time and in minutes Alana is taken to the hospital and was quickly taken to the delivery room. Noah's friends arrives and sit in the waiting room anxiously, Mrs Brave rushes in panting.
MRS BRAVE: Where's my daughter?, Us she alright?, How about my grandchild?, Are they both safe??? (She asked desperately to a Nurse who was sitting by the reception)
NURSE: please calm down ma'm, the doctor will let us know how everything went when he comes out
MRS BRAVE: okay!..oh my God, I sure hope they make it (she prays right before her eyes meet with Noah's)And what the hell are you doing here? (She glared)
ADE: Ma'm please I don't think this is the right time to fight
MRS BRAVE: Oh shut up! (She yells)
DIEGO: Mrs Brave before you start, I met Noah calling the Ambulance to take Alana to the hospital and he was...
Diego stops talking as the Doctor came in with a file in hand
DOCTOR: Relatives of Alana Williams?
NOAH: Yes!..I am her husband (He states standing up nervously)
MRS BRAVE: And I am her Mother! (She declared)
NOAH: Doctor, how is my wife doing? (He asks worriedly)
DOCTOR: (Sighs) I'm sorry Mr Williams...but you're going to have to get two jobs.. cause your wife just delivered twins (The Doctor announced with a grin)
MRS BRAVE: Oh my God (she gasps)
Noah falls to his knees on hearing the news as his friends rejoice with each other
DOCTOR: haha Congratulations! (He smiled)
NOAH: (gets up) Doctor can...can I see them now?
MRS BRAVE: Yes Doctor,I wanna see my grandkids!(she said with teary eyes)
DIEGO: And we our godson, am I right?(He laughed with Ade)
DOCTOR: (Chuckles) Ofcourse, you can all see her but remember,she's still very weak right now, it was a premature delivery but it didn't do any damage, but no one stress her out okay??
They all nod in agreement before they're taken into the delivery room by the doctors in the room, Alana lies down with both kids resting gently on each arms, a beautiful baby boy and girl, Mrs Brave breaks into tears by the sight of her two grandkids.
MRS BRAVE: Congratulations honey (she says softly as she sits beside her daughter taking the baby girl from her arms)
ALANA: Thank you mum( she replied)
ADE: The boy looks alot like his uncle Ade..oh yes he does..(he teases as he takes the baby boy from Alana's arm
MRS BRAVE: Why don't you just leave him be with his mother (she asks angrily)
ADE: oh come on Mrs Brave, I won't drop him or anything geez ( he replied as he rocked the boy gently)
DEIGO: The boy looks alot like Alana, but the girl is more like..
NOAH: ...me (he chuckled lightly as he kissed both his kids gently on their forehead before doing the same with Alana) I'm so sorry...(he apologized)
ALANA: My Love...your kids are here now..of you won't open up for us, then at least do it for them... please.
DIEGO: We're all here for you my man (he said placing a hand on Noah's shoulder)
Noah wipes away his tears and with a deep breath, Noah Williams finally tells his story
NOAH: It all started a long time ago, I was 10 years old, my dad had been out drinking and.. hadn't come back yet so I went out to look for him at the dead of night..I came across a neighbor and he told me he knew where my dad was
ALANA: He's pure scum!, he was the one who kidnapped you right and you were almost sold?
NOAH: You see that's where I lived, I..was sold..as a sex slave (he said with his head bowed and they all gasps in shock)
NOAH: I wasn't the only one..we were alot..just little kids used to appeal the desire of disgusting monsters!..those bastards scarred me for life (he scowled)... They'd..tie us down and (sniffles) take turns, they blindfolded and kepts us sedated, so we would never see who it was that was touching us... everyday we'd cry and pray that we should just..wake up..and maybe this would be some horrible nightmare (he sobbed gently) but no..it wasn't
MRS BRAVE: My Goodness (she exclaims under her breath)
NOAH: We stayed there for months until one blessed day we heard the police come in and we were rescued but some of us never made it out alive..(he said as he wiped off his tears)
ADE: Lord have mercy..(he whispered to himself)
NOAH: After what happened, well..I wasn't the same, I got admitted to a psychiatric hospital along with the other kids, we stayed there getting alot of treatments, Therapy sessions and all that, and after a few years I got better, but the nightmares never stopped...but the world got a lot brighter when you came back to my life Alana (He said with a soft smile) You took all the pain of that horrible experience away and you helped restore my faith in people...for that I will always be grateful, even when I experienced similar things in prison,I was still grateful to be back by your side.
ALANA: Oh no my love, don't tell me..
NOAH:(Nods)
ALANA: Noah, I asked you a million times if anything happened (she said in tears)
NOAH: I saw no point in telling you, I wouldn't want you to treat me differently out of pity or you thinking you got married to a..a weakling.
ALANA: Oh come on, you know me better than that Noah, I mean what kind of a person would even think something like that..listen..you were abused,..and that wasn't your fault,band no, it doesn't make you less of a man...(exhales) Noah..tell me the truth,did it happen again?
NOAH: (breaks down in tears) I'm so sorry,I was so stupid stupid
DIEGO: What do you mean again?..Hey brother, just give me a name, just tell me, and I'll teach this bastard a lesson he'll never forget (He growls clenching his fists)
ALANA: You're not stupid Noah, you have to tell us what happened otherwise we can't help you... silence kills.
NOAH: (head remained bowed)
ALANA: On thy day I called you, you picked up the phone, but I heard the voice of a woman..who was that woman?
NOAH: (sobs) I know I've failed you.
ALANA:You DID NOT fail me Noah, now tell me what happened
Moments faster Noah finally tells his family and friends what happened with Claire in that hospital.
ALANA: That witch!...how could she do something like that!
MRS BRAVE: Now relax sweetie, you shouldn't be getting all worked up you just delivered rest( she said resting her daughters body back on the bed) I mean.. wasn't even worried Noah would report her??
ADE: There was nothing for her to be worried about,I mean (scoffs) no man would ever report his abuser, especially when that abuser is a woman
ALANA: But why not??, If it had been the other way around, If Noah was the propetraitor, he'd be in prison
DIEGO: Yeah, cause then it'd be another case of violence against women, but no one really cared about men
ADE: If Noah were to tell this to the police...
NOAH: I'd be the joke of the year
DIEGO: Yeah, and she could easily play the victim and boom
ADE: They'd lock him up for sure
ALANA:But..We...I mean..THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE, Are we supposed to just d NOTHING??
ADE: This is actually more common that you think, my uncle went through something similar in his childhood
ALANA: And this is gonna keep happening if you guys just choose to remain silent, the world need to know that anyone can be a..a predator!
Mrs Brave hands over the baby to Diego and turns to Noah
MRS BRAVE: I just have one question for you Noah..
NOAH: ...which is?
MRS BRAVE: That incident that stained your record 8 years ago...you didn't really sexually assault that young lady did you? (She asks firmly)
NOAH: No..(he replied softly) She threw herself on me, but since I refused her, she tore off her clothes and accused me of trying to rape her, she called the cops and I was arrested.
ALANA: (leans over to embrace her husband) I'm sorry for all the things you had to go through (she sobbed)
MRS BRAVE:...I'm sorry too Noah,for not believing you all these years,and to make it up to you...I promise, to get you justice, by any means necessary (She said with a low scowl)
