INTRO
"Chug! Chug! Chug! Chug!, My brothers chant loudly waking me up.
"Ughhhh", I groaned as I layed on my bed, I didn't need anyone telling me my brothers are probably having some dumb drinking contest again, though it's pretty early, I still wouldn't be surprised, that's just how they are I guess...
I got up from bed, looking at the time it's 8:30am , so I went into the bathroom,brushed my teeth, had a quick shower and head over to the living room, completely ignoring the chaos going on as I walked past my brothers, I went into the kitchen to make myself breakfast.
My name is Thomas Blue, but everyone calls me Tommy I'm a 17 year old highschooler and I'm the youngest in my family and also,as my mom would say..the weakest. Originally I grew up with a family.
My mom, Jenny Blue, I wouldn't call the best mom ever, she was the kind of woman who liked strong Dominant men, something ny dad, Oliver Blue, was not. My dad and I are very much alike... personality wise, Introverted and simple, my mom was simply with him for the money.
Three years ago my dad was involved in a terrible accident that took his life sadly, a day I can never seem to forget , mostly because it happened right in front of me, my dad had just got back from work and was about to drive into the driveway before a truck that lost it's breaks crashed into his car. That day had me broken for several months, and I haven't been the same ever since. not long after my mom got remarried, things were risy at first for her, but eventually her husband became a deadbeat abuser who was just living off my dad's money..still my mom refused to divorce him, she'd always end up taking his side over ours. Not long after my older brother, Stanley moved out and well we all went with him.
'Ding, Dong!' goes the doorbell
That must be Alex and George, I almost forgot we were supposed to be helping set up an event center for some quick cashm
Alex and George are my only friends, Like I said before, I'm a very introverted person, I'm normally shy and awkward around people, and that's why I don't really have alot of friends, as a matter of fact, my timid nature makes it impossible for me to even get a girlfriend..I mean, I do take after my father with his good looks but I lack the bravery to back it up enough to ask a girl out on a date, but before the new year... that's all gonna change
Episode 1 ~ Thomas Hearts Luna
I finished up breakfast quickly and head over to open the door, after a quick exchange of pleasantries,my friends came in, to the mess in the living room, empty soda cans were scattered everywhere, a slice of pizza layed sadly in the pizza box on the floor and trails of toppings were almost used as a decorative on the tables. Two of my brothers (Gideon, who's 20 and Gabe, 19) sat on the couch watching TV with their clothes smeered in pizza sauce, while Stanley who's 22 and the oldest layed in the floor, still groaning in pain from drinking so many sodas.
At first glance you'd think my brothers were just lazy bums that probably dropped out of school and are probably unemployed, but actually no, my older brother Stanlybis a Bank Marketer by day and Bartender by night, He's just as hardworking as my dad was, only difference is my dad would never be caught doing something as wreckless and wild as this, even on his days off. Gideon goes to school, He's a college student, but he does work part time lin a store downtown, But Gabe and I don't work, we're high schoolers, we don't work cause our dad always told us how he never got a job till he was 20, and I guess we decided to honor that cycles after he died, Though we never said that's what we were doing but somehow we all knew it.
ALEX: Wow..what a filth (Alex said under his death
GEORGE: oh my god, Stanley are you okay?, You look horrible
Stanley groans but gives a thumbs up assuring he'll be fine.
GIDEON: And where are you geeks off to?
TOM: We're off to go help set up
GEORGE: Yeah, and hopefully make some quick cash while we're at it (he smirks)
TOM: Yeah but it's just for today..it's nothing official, we'll catch you guys later..and clean up would you, this place is a mess( I said as I left with my friends)
And so we head down the street at an event center just off the block, we walked in and saw the place has already been decorated beautifully with Blue and white ribbons
ALEX: Wow, this place looks amazing
GEORGE: Yeahh, What do they even wanna do?
TOM: A wedding I think
"Umm no actually it's a birthday party" @a girl said from behind.
I know that voice anywhere, we all turned around to see Luna, our classmate standing beside us with a kind smile on her face that made her sea blue eyes sparkle, her radiant white dress and her curly blonde hair tucked up to a bun made her look breathtaking
GEORGE: Oh hey Luna
LUNA: heyyy
ALEX: So all this for a birthday party?.. parents must be rich.
LUNA: Oh they are, you guys here to set up?
GEORGE: Yeah, Mr Melvin sent us, right Tommy?
TOM: what..uh yeah, he did (I nodded)
As you may already noticed, I have a crush on Luna, so everytime I'm around her, I can't seem to get enough words out of my mouth enough to talk to her, We've talked before tho, some months ago when she was my partner in a science project we were working in in school, we got to know each other and she's a really lovable person, she's pretty, both inside and out, that's why as next Saturday,I'm gonna ask her out
TOM: So, why are you here?..to set up or?
LUNA: Kind of... just came to decorate with Doris
TOM: Wow, you did all this?
LUNA: um no not really, it was me and Doris, I just said that (she chuckled)
TOM: Oh, sorry(I replied nervously and I could hear my friends chuckling behind me)
LUNA: Um..You do know who Doris is right? (She said with a light chuckle)
TOM: That's her over there(I replied pointing at a girl straightening up some decoratives at the corner of the room) She's your best friend isn't she?, She's been since you moved here (I replied realizing I almost sounded like a stalker)
LUNA: Oh wow, I thought you wouldn't know since you mostly kept to yourself, I'm sorry.(she smiled)
Luna's smile is quickly wiped off her face as she sees Mr Melvin coming,she says her goodbye and runs of to Doris and they both head out back.
GEORGE: Heyy, I guess you've been practicing huh?, More than two sentences to Luna in one day, that's gotta be a World record (He teased)
Mr Melvin walks over to us with his son Mason, who's 19,he's a senior and to me one of the worst person ever, a bully, he doesn't smack you on the head or anything like that but he sure has a way of making you feel worthless.
MASON: Well, Well, Well, If it isn't Gloomy Tommy (Mason says folding his arms)
'Gloomy Tommy' is a nickname give to me by Mason himself, I hadn't still gotten over my father's passing and my step father's drama before I moved here, so when I came I wasn't in a good place,I was always down, I barely smiled or laughed even in school, and that's how I got the name, infact people know me more as 'Gloomy Tommy' than 'Thomas Blue'..but it never really bothered me
MR MELVIN: Not now Melvin..Listen Boys, the party is this evening, so we gotta get everything ready at least by 1pm, just keep in mind you will be payed, but mostly with food, is that okay?
ALEX: Eh, I'll take it (He shrugs
We all agreed and our work began, we set up the chairs and also helped lifting some decorative furnitures and before we knew it,hours passed and we were done. The MC arrived with the Dj, and before we knew it few guests started coming in early to drop off gifts, we got payed a generous amount and happily we all left to prepare for the party as we were automatically invited just by setting up, We all walked out down the street heading to our various homes.
MASON: So, wanna ditch the party and go have dinner tonight? ( He asked putting his arms around her)
LUNA: (chuckles) Funny you think I'll ever agree to go on a date with a douchebag like yourself (She replied taking Mason's hand off and Doris Snickers beside them.
Luna is pretty decent, she definitely won't go out with just any guy, hopefully today I'll be able to win her over with a heartfelt poem I wrote for her some days ago, fingers crossed.
