Chapter 12 - Chapter 12: How wolves hunt part 1

Garwyr's POV

Twenty-five days have passed, and i must say that we have gotten closer. We got close to the point that we were now bantering back and forth. Of course, she is still saying stuff about 'Reincarnation', but now she is behaved? No, scratch that. She is still the same.

She has her own 'training', and she keeps muttering stuff like 'increasing my stats' or 'leveling my skills' while practising magic. She learned all the things that she could from the books I gave her, albeit being beginner's books. You may think that she's talented, but she is just a dum-dum if you know who she is.

"Did you think of something rude of me?"

"Nah, I just think you're quite dumb sometimes."

"Why you!"

Every day has been quite lively ever since then. The campsite also changed. Since she always sleeps near me, we decide to turn it into a big tent. There is also a bath near the tent. She wants to take a bath every day so she makes one by making a wide hole and walls made of earth. She says that she'll pour some water in there and then heat it, and after using it, she'll drain it. All of this is done by her magic, by the way. Apparently, it will help improve her magic and increase her Mana reserve by constantly using magic.

She always requested to me hunt other monsters such as "Silkworms", "Bears",and "Tigers" . The materials that they provide are being used for handicrafts.

She wants to make some cloaks, blankets, and rags by using some bear materials such as pelts while she tans the leather from tigers to be made into bags.

The silk from the silkworms are being made into underwear. She says that she wants to wear a comfortable one and her chest is getting bigger. I want to say to her to have some delicacy, but she looked at me dubiously and said "You're a Goblin so you do not count." Of course, we exchanged playful banters after that.

Other than that, she also requested me to gather some plants. She has made soap with them, and something called "Sham Poo"?. Because of that, She will always look so clean and smell like a flower.

She is always sewing and crafting stuff. She also maintains my clothes, so I always appreciate it.

Overall, she is very helpful.

She is now in the middle of sewing a rag. I finished preparing some stuff and talked to her with seriousness.

"Rina, I have something to do, so I'm going to a town."

She stops sewing and then looked at me.

"N-no..."

She grabbed my sleeve and begged me with her teary eyes.

"P-please, don't leave..."

"I'll return immediately afterwards, so you don't have to worry."

"No..."

She kept shaking her head and grabbed my arm, refusing to let go.

I looked at her in the eyes and patted her head.

"I'm not gonna leave you, okay? I will return as fast as I can when I'm done."

"... Okay"

She nodded and then let go of my arm reluctantly.

"Is there something you want? I'm going to a town after all."

"... Desserts."

"Okay, got it, anything else."

"... Books."

I smiled wryly and nodded. Before I went, she called out to me.

"Stay safe and make sure to come back immediately, or else I'll feed you rotten stew."

"I'll be going then."

And with that, I left the campsite. After that, I went further away, and now that I am far away from there, I grabbed a necklace and attached it to a branch.

With that, I took a deep breath and then chanted an incantation.

"Saga Riuz Apor."

It's an advanced dimensional spell that can teleport you to a 'marked' location. And with that, I got teleported to a familiar place.

Right now, I'm on a platform with a pedestal that has a wolf symbol inside a room. I got off the platform and went through a door.

Inside are the other members of the "Wolves" and they are currently discussing something, so i left them and went through another door.

"Garwyr reporting."

I saluted the person sitting on a chair with a desk full of documents.

He's Perry Ronapolus. He is 39 years old and the head of the logistics, and the one who personally handles all my missions.

"I always said this, but no need to be formal."

He sighed, and I approached his desk.

"Sorry, force of habit."

"You always say that."

I shrugged.

"Anyways, what is the situation in Sarvall kingdom?"

I reported to him all the things I found in my investigation during my stay in Sarvall, Of course

excluding Rina.

"Prince Henrick is now the crowned Prince, huh? Looks like citizens of that kingdom will have a hard time from now on."

"Indeed."

"Anyways, good work. Here's the payment."

He handed me a bag full of coins. With this, my mission is now done.

"So here's some missions that are available to you."

"About that, I'll take them after 3 months."

He looked so surprised when I said that.

"That's unusual for you."

Indeed, whenever I finish a job, I always take another one immediately. It's just this time, my job is to investigate what is happening at the Sarvall kingdom, which took a little longer to complete.

"... You know 'Skőll' does not tolerate any of its members to be idle, right?"

"I am aware."

"Skőll" is the name of our clan. We are the hidden organization of "Garehis" Kingdom, our homeland. Each of the members must at least finish three missions within three months, or else they are punished or, worse, banished. Since our clan believes in pursuit of strength, having a member that is not active puts a shame on the organisation. That is why they are strict when it comes to partaking missions.

"Very well then, I'll see you in three months."

"Thank you. Err..."

"What is it?"

"Do you know any place that sells delicious desserts?"

"...To think that the young disciple of Lord Yorwain have any interest other than training and missions."

That is the second time I saw his surprised face.

"You make it seem like I do nothing but train and work."

"That's because you do."

Really? Huh... Now that I think about it, that is what I have always done ever since I finished training with my master.
