"Roes Aor Hurga!"
I used an offensive magic spell against an earthened wall. Although the wall is not destroyed, the damage can still be seen on the center as if it were pierced.
"Alright, I did it!"
I am now able to use magic spells! Although it's just beginner spells. I am so happy that I raised my arms up in the air and shouted.
By the way, the earth wall is made by me. Unlike the wind spell i used earlier, this one is by use of earth manipulation, not a spell.
Recalling what I learned from the books, Magical spells can be used through incantation. In order for an individual to be able to cast a spell, one must use a formula to construct an incantation.
For example,
Magic rank + Elemental Attribute + Action/Command = Incantation + Mana consumption = Magic spell
With this as a formula, you can construct a spell.
Apparently, this is the only method to use a proper magic spell.You must also remember the magic table listed from the books.
Magic table:
Rank: Official Name of Incantation:
Beginner = "Roes"
Intermediate = "Idyu"
Advanced = "Saga"
Grand = "Arc"
Elements:
Fire = "Flaur"
Water = "Qua"
Earth = "Erres"
Thunder = "Criyer"
Wind = "Aor"
The official name is a MUST use for the incantation to function. Once an incantation has started, it must be stated clearly, or else it will not work, which only waste Mana.
The Action or Command part is the hardest one.
According to the studies, Incantation is a form of communication with one's Mana. With it, you can 'converse' your 'intentions' as it flows to your Mana reserve. And that 'intentions' will be translated as an 'Action' or 'Command'. If it's successfully transmitted, the Mana will then turn it into a word and returns it to the individual. The word will automatically engraved into your mind.
So far, I only know "Hurga", "Sorh" and "Irite".
"Hurga" means pierce, "Sorh" is blow, and "Irite" is cut. Keep it mind that this only works on "Aor" or wind magic, meaning it will not work other elements.
With all said and done, you can still use magic without spells and incantation. However, it is only for simple use like lighting a fire or filling a vase with water.
It is also stated that one must be familiar with an element in order to have an aptitude with said element. That is why some individuals have a specific elemental aptitude because of their environment. So, a person with two or more elemental aptitudes is rare.
If that is the case, then it makes sense that I have all five elements. Since I am a reincarnated person, I have a deep understanding of them because of some games and novels.
I'm sure I will be hired to work for the kingdom if they know I have five elements, but right now, it still dangerous for me since that ugly merchant is still around. Of course, I have no intention to reveal it unless It is necessary, so I hope it will not come to that.
Now that wraps up the long explanation of magic. Long story short, it's so hard to learn magic, especially if you're a beginner. For me, though, it is quite fun.
I can see why Garwyr is so bewildered when he knows I can use magic with ease. It is really not normal to use magic without studying, so I guess he is right all along, though I will not say it since he'll just said "I told you so!" So I'll keep it to myself.
By the way, I also incorporated what I learned from the game's perspective. My theory is that my stats will increase only if I do a specific action . Just like yesterday, my INT increased because I used magic, and so with that, I can say my theory is correct.
I also noted on what each stat could so.
HP (Health Pool) = Life or Vitality of an individual. Once it reaches zero, they will die
MP (Mana Pool) = Mana reserves of an individual. Once it reaches zero, they will pass out.
STR (Strength) = Shows how strong they are.
END (Endurance)= Shows how sturdy they are.
INT(Intelligence) = Shows how knowledgable they are.
DEX (Dexterity) = Shows how skilled they are.
AGL (Agility) = Shows how flexible they are.
WIS (Wisdom) = Shows how understanding they are.
These stats can affect what I can or can not do.
They will also affect my skills' successful rate and effect. Like my INT determines the damage of my magic spells or my WIS affects [Appraisal] success rate.
So, with that logic, I can also increase my skills' level if I keep using them. So I'm gonna have to manage my Mana while leveling them.
Now, with that, I finished studying. I didn't even realise that it's almost evening, so I wrapped up everything and started cooking dinner.
The content of the dinner is the same as yesterday minus the roasted meat.
As I was cooking dinner, Garwyr returned.
"Welcome back."
"Yeah."
He nodded and then handed me a magic pouch.
"There's a boar meat and some wild vegetables in there. Oh, there are also some mushrooms."
"Ooh, mushrooms! Good work."
After our exchange, we ate our dinner and had a talk.
"So, did you read them?"
"Yep, I finished reading them all."
"Now, do you understand how hard it is to use magic?"
"I understand that I can use magic just fine. I can even use them to develop my skills."
"You're still keeping that act, huh."
I gave him a smug smile, and he shook his head.
"Let's go to sleep."
Oh, it's nighttime already? I didn't even notice. As I
stand up, we heard a howl just like yesterday.
"Umm..."
"Alright, you can sleep with me."
"Thanks."
As we went inside the tent, he asked a question.
"By the way, how old are you?"
"Never ask a lady her age."
"Where did you even learn that phrase?"
"Isn't it a common phrase?"
"Yeah, but are you even a lady?"
"How rude, I'm twelve."
"I was just asking, and I'm thirteen."
"Wow, you're so young!"
"Aren't you also young?"
As we had our silly exchange, I yawned and felt drowsy.
"Let's just sleep."
I nodded, then lay down near him.
"Good night, Garwyr."
"... Good night."
And with that, we slept.
