Chereads / ELUNA: The Adventure of Rina and Garwyr / Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: That Girl is weird

Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: That Girl is weird

Garwyr's POV.

We have arrived in my camp.

"Sit right there while I start the lighting the campfire."

"Umm, please let me do it."

I stopped and looked at her.

"I-i want to help so I can be useful, at least."

"Okay then..."

I left the campfire to her and went inside my tent to get all her necessities. I opened a large magic pouch and gathered all the things that she needed. Although I have some spare clothes, it's only for my espionage activities. Luckily, I have an outdoor dress used for disguise, so I can give it to her. I also grab a smaller magic pouch along with some tools and equipment.

When I went back, the campfire was now lit.

"That was fast."

I thought that she would have a harder time lighting up a fire, but I was proven wrong, so I'm a bit impressed.

"Oh, uhh... I used a "Fire" Magic."

"Ah, I see... wait, what!?"

She used a "Fire" Magic? Does that mean that she has an aptitude as a mage? Well, it could be related to why she is captured, or so, I assume.

"Hmm?"

"...Its nothing, well anyways, here you go."

I shook my head, then handed her the dress.

"Thank you very much!"

She looks happy.

She grabbed the dress and then looked around.

"You can change in my tent."

"O-okay."

She immediately went inside to change her clothes.

I bring out my cooking tools and utensils to prepare to cook.

It's already afternoon by the time we arrive here.

"I still have some meat left from the elk."

As I wonder how should I prepare the elk meat, Rina left the tent and went her way here.

She is now wearing the dress I handed her along with the red cloth as her cloak.

To be honest, I was quite surprised. She was cute when I first saw her even with ragged clothes, and now she is so much cuter.

The grey dress suited her since it brought out her beauty. Her red bob cut hair looks so smooth as a silk as it was complimented with the red cloth, which brings out her fascinating looks. Her face can be compared to an angel, and her round crimson eyes look so bright that it burns.

Long story short, She is super duper cute.

"Umm, how do I look?"

"You look fine."

I can compliment her more than that, but my lack of vocabulary stops me because "you look cute" is the only thing I came up with at the moment.

"Okay, wait for a bit, I'll gonna make some lunch."

"Can I help?"

"Sure."

I brought out 20kg of elk meat, herbs, and vegetables from my magic pouch.

She looks surprised when I take out stuff from my magic pouch.

"Is this the first you saw a magic pouch?"

"Yes, it can store items and is very useful for travels, right? but why is it called 'magic pouch' instead of 'magic bag'?"

"... Because it's a pouch, not a bag."

"What's the difference?"

"These two are separate types, and they have different uses."

"Oh, I see!"

Her eyes sparkled when she looked at my magic pouch. She looks less reserved compared to before. Well, I prefer it this way because we can talk more naturally.

We are now making lunch. I'm roasting the meat while she is cooking a stew. I'm worried that she doesn't know how to cook, but it is just a needless worry. She knows how to handle the utensils, so i leave it to her what she will cook with the ingredients laid out, and she decided on stew.

"By the way, what type of meat is it?"

"Elk meat."

"Elk? not Boar?"

"It's what I hunted yesterday, I could hunt boars, but I prefer elks cause they have many valuable materials."

"I see."

We cooked for twenty-five minutes and now our lunch is ready. As we are eating, she looks so delighted that a small tear can be seen falling from her eyes. She keeps muttering "delicious" as she eats, which makes me believe that she must have a hard life before. But I gotta say, it is really delicious. I know how to handle myself when it comes to cooking, but her stew is simply scrumptious.

After finishing our meal, we took a small break before we could talk.

"Here you go, essentials and stuff, you're gonna need it."

"T-thank you."

I handed her some tools such as a dismantling knife, a hunting knife, a sleeping bag, a small tent kit and empty vials, and flasks.

"S-so many..."

"Also here a small magic pouch."

"Wha-... U-umm, are you sure? isn't this expensive?"

"It's fine, I'm giving it to you. Besides, you're gonna need it more than you think."

"Okay... Thank you very much."

"You're welcome."

I stood up and stretched my arms.

"Let's set your tent up."

"I'll do it myself, I don't want to bother you for this."

"Nah, it's fine, really."

"... Okay then."

We set her tent next to mine. After this, I decided to teach her basic necessities and knowledge to help with her everyday life. But before that, I'm gonna check what she knows, and I'll adjust them to my teaching plans.

And then it hasn't been a minute before I could think that she is weird.
