Morgen saw Zetten rushing towards them. "Fast! Hide before they see us. We might get in some trouble if they do!" Sherlin said. "Don't worry, we haven't travelled in the past, it's Divine Vision." Aayan Stated. "Divine Vision? Talk in human language for our sake!" Sherlin asked in an irritated voice. "Divine Vision, a magical power possessed exclusively by gods and devils, grants the user the ability to witness the past, whether it be their own or someone else's. One must exercise caution with this magic, as it solely permits observation of the past and prohibits any tampering with it." Morgen explained in a slow voice. "You do know every definition clearly." Sherlin taunted. "It was bound to happen; he had been personally taught by Zugardio. While he might have imparted numerous valuable lessons to him, given his exceptional academic prowess, he failed to teach him the truth." Aayan stated. "I'll ask you guys once, observe silently." He said.
Zetten sprinted towards a colossal tree radiating a sun-like glow. "I have arrived, Ronin." He shouted. From behind the tree emerged Ronin, revealing his presence. "It has been a while, Zetten. Good to see you, my friend." He said with a big smile on his face. "Time is scarce, Ronin. Our paramount objective lies in navigating our path back to the company's central headquarters, rescuing Morgen, embarking on a perilous journey into another realm, and concurrently halting the advances of Zugardio and his formidable army.." Zetten explained. "I comprehend; however, a brotherly hug would not have consumed much time." Ronin replied. "Let us proceed swiftly. Time is of the essence." Zetten said. "So, how do we precisely plan to accomplish it?" Ronin asked. "I have a plan, Ronin. Your powers have grown stronger over time. I need you to engage Zugardio and his army, holding them off while I infiltrate the headquarters and secure Morgen. Once we have my son, we'll need to devise a clever ruse to deceive Zugardio and make our escape to a different world." Zetten explained. "No need to worry about that. I have a few tricks up my sleeve as well!" Ronin replied, winking towards him. "Listen, Ronin, do not underestimate him. Although he may appear feeble, he has grown exponentially stronger, surpassing our wildest expectations. He wields the dark magic, the very same magic that led you down a path of depravity. Remember what transpired afterward? Exercise caution and be vigilant, my friend." Zetten tried to warn Ronin. "You sure have lost your faith in me Zetten, but you don't have to worry. I've been his older brother and teacher, nurturing him from a young age. I possess an intimate knowledge of his character. You should have complete confidence in my abilities. Don't worry, I got this. You should focus on rescuing Morgen." Ronin said.
"Can you see all this? That's your dad, Zetten. Can you hear those words? Do you really think Zugardio was good?" Ronin asked Morgen but he decided to stay silent and watch.
"Zetten, it seems you are having a delightful time. Ah, and here we have the legendary, the silent assassin - RONIN-SENSEI! It appears luck is on my side today, granting me the opportunity to eliminate two individuals who have shown me no regard. You two traitors are bound to die today." Zugardio shouted as he appeared out of a big magical circle. "You certainly speak with confidence for someone who used to seek my comfort even after the tiniest ant bite." Ronin mocked and laughed at Zugardio.
"You sure know how to roast everyone, even on the battlefield. You always got those sassy comebacks, no matter the situation." Sherlin said. "I asked you to stay silent." Aayan scolded her.
Consumed by his short temper, Zugardio swiftly succumbed to anger at the mere mention of it. "Formation!" He shouted. A huge hoard of men, surrounded Ronin and Zetten. "Well, this is going to be fun. I'm not pleased with him sabotaging our plans at the eleventh hour! I'm going to make him pay." Ronin said. "Yeah, well, before we can do that, we'll have to deal with these folks here." Zetten added. "You'll take care of them for me. I'll go ahead and confront Zugardio directly. Good luck! See you later!" Ronin said and jumped high in the sky and teleporting to where Zugardio was. "Well, here goes nothing." Zetten said in his mind. He took out his katanas and started fighting Zugardio's army.
"Ah, here comes my legendary teacher. Well, Ronin, let me make one thing clear: you cannot kill me. I am invincible." Zugardio said. "Ah, I've heard that plenty of times before. Nothing new or surprising." Ronin replied. Zugardio was shocked, irritated and somewhat impressed by Ronin's calm and carefree nature even at a battlefield. "I think you're misunderstanding sensei, I actually am Invincible, that is, I can't be killed." Zugardio replied. "Oh, you mean immortal? That's a claim I've heard many times as well. It seems like you're all talk, just like you always were. Well, come on! Show me something impressive for once!" Ronin taunted him. Consumed by anger, he realized that Ronin had the ability to evade or absorb any form of magic. Knowing this, his only chance lay in utilizing dark magic. Despite being warned against employing dark magic until it was fully under control, he chose to unleash its power against Ronin. "Dark Magic, solo killing!" He shouted! From the gathering of dark magic, an ominous orb materialized, crackling with electric currents of dark energy. "This will end you!" He shouted. Ronin was well aware that the unleashed power would wreak havoc, not only upon his physical body but also his very soul. "You know what? I'm impressed by its formidable shape, and I understand the devastation it can bring. I'm willing to take the risk for the sake of Zetten and Morgen. So, bring it on, kid!" Ronin shouted in joy. embracing this long-awaited confrontation, a battle he had been yearning for since his encounters with Neu and Nue.
The orb hurtled through the air at breakneck speed, aiming directly for Ronin, who stood unwavering with a big smile on his face, ready for the collision with his legendary sword, The Might. The moment the orb collided with The Might, a massive explosion erupted, engulfing the surroundings in a dense cloud of smoke.
"WHAT THE F*CK!?" Sherlin shouted!
As the smoke dissipated, Ronin emerged from within, standing resolute with The Might. He had successfully absorbed all the dark magic from the orb, albeit bearing wounds and bloodstains. Despite his injuries, a defiant smile graced his face, undeterred by the battle's toll.
"Hahahaha! I can keep going all day, Zugardio! Bring it on!" Ronin shouted with an exuberant smile, displaying unwavering determination. "Impossible!! How was he able to absorb such a large amount of Dark magic? What exactly occurred in that moment?" Zugardio stood in a state of shock, his mind reeling from what he had just witnessed. Before he could regain his focus on the battle, Ronin swiftly flew before him and delivered a devastating punch infused with an immense amount of dark magic. The force of the punch sent Zugardio hurtling through the air, propelling him past his own army in a dizzying flight.
Covered in blood, Zetten faced a challenging struggle as Zugardio's army unleashed the same dark magic. Overwhelmed by their combined power, Zetten found it difficult to fend off their relentless attacks. If it weren't for the dark magic in play, Zetten knew he could have effortlessly vanquished them all within a matter of minutes. Ronin emerged before Zetten, his swift action knocking Zugardio down to the ground. ""What the hell happened to you? You're covered in blood? I've never seen THE RONIN in such a state before." Zetten exclaimed, his voice filled with sarcasm. "Yeah, well talk about yourself." Ronin poked him. "What's the status?" He asked. "So, these soldiers also possess the power of dark magic. You managed to knock down Zugardio? Good. Can I ask you to do one thing? Can you please end my life before Zugardio regains consciousness?" Zetten asked Ronin. "Have you lost it? You want me to kill you? Why? You want to leave your kid behind?" Ronin asked. He couldn't believe his ears. "Yeah, well, take on the role of a father figure for Morgen. Save him. The extensive injuries I've sustained have taken a tremendous toll on me. I'm on the brink of death, with failing organs. Please, put an end to this for me. Prevent Zugardio from reaching Morgen. Save my child. My soul will be eternally grateful to you, Ronin." Zetten said as he was finding it hard to even stand. "Dark Magic, Extensive barrier!" Ronin chanted. An orb of dark magic engulfed them completely. Ronin had tears in his eyes. I'll kill Zugardio for you Zetten. I'm promising you." Ronin said in anger. "Listen Ronin, you might not say it out loud, but even you know, you can't heal right now. You have sustained damage even more than me. Even your demigod healing factors are slow. You can't kill him right now. Find Morgen and flee as soon as possible. Put an end to my life. I should've hugged you when I met you today." Zetten tried to calm Ronin. "You aren't gonna die today, that's for sure!" Ronin said. He was panicking. Zetten, trying to calm him down, said, "I-I'm okay, don't fret over me. You must release your hold on others. Grant me this wish. It's what I long for. Please, allow me to pass away as a warrior. Let my life be claimed by the weapon of a true warrior, not someone who merely boasts of their strength. Ronin, you can bring this to an end, but the timing is not yet right. Patience, my friend. Your vengeance will come. Just grant me release and seek safety. Find Morgen and embark on a journey to another realm. I implore you." Ronin has tears in his eyes, something that he couldn't hide from Zetten. He hugged him tightly and said, "You'll always be my best friend no matter what!" "Likewise, Warrior. Do it." Zetten said.
"NOOOOOOOO!!! STOP! RONIN NO!! DON'T KILL HIM PLEASE!" Morgen shouted as he cried for his father. "Hey, hey, Morgen. Take a moment to breathe. I understand how difficult this is for you. Look at me, please. I was in tears! I couldn't bear the thought of ending my own best friend's life. Even now, tears well up in my eyes. Morgen, Zugardio deceived you. It's evident, isn't it?" Ronin said, while trying to calm him down. "Why did you have to kill him?" Morgen cried. "Morgen, please try to calm down. I understand your concern, but remember, it was his wish. Did you truly want your father, who was already on the brink of death and enduring immense suffering, to endure even more pain before passing away? I honored his wish as a warrior and was there with him to support him in his final moments. I wish you could be there too. He loved you a lot son. He sacrificed himself for you, Morgen. He endured unimaginable suffering because he loved you deeply. His purpose was to ensure your well-being and safety. It's difficult to comprehend why he would want you to idolize the person who caused his own demise. However, it's important to try to understand his perspective, even if it may be challenging. His actions were driven by a desire to protect you, even if it seems contradictory or hard to accept.?" Ronin replied. Morgen couldn't stop crying. Even Sherlin was on the verge of crying and Ahana was all teary.
"I'll grant you your final wish Zetten." Ronin said. He hugged Zetten and using his demonic daggers, he put him to his eternal sleep.
Suddenly, the orb broke!
