Chapter 6 - Chapter 6

Chapter 6: New Adventurer Jin Part 1

The day after earning five gold coins, I equipped myself and headed to the adventurer's guild early in the morning.

Until now, I had visited the guild at off-peak times, such as a little before noon, so I hadn't seen many adventurers there. However, now was the busiest time for adventurers at the guild.

In the morning, adventurers gathered in front of the bulletin board to take on good quests when they were posted.

"Jin-san, you came again today."

"Good morning, Fine-san."

Ignoring the adventurers around me, I went straight to Fine-san, who had become an acquaintance.

"Are you here to take on quests today too?"

"I'm thinking of taking on some quests, but I came early to take care of something else first."

"Something else?"

"I'm only on my second day of registration, but can I register for a 'partner'?"

Partner registration was a feature that I had relied on a lot during my time in the game. As the player controlling the main character, I had become an adventurer and relied on the adventurer's guild for assistance.

As the story progressed, a feature called "partner registration" appeared, where I could make a business-like contract with the receptionist. By doing this, I would give part of my reward money to the receptionist I contracted with.

However, I also found out that registering would give me preferential treatment with the guild's facilities and in this world in general. I also learned that partner registration was not commonly used in this world.

The main reason being that the reward money would decrease, and many adventurers were able to get by without making a contract. Therefore, the number of adventurers who registered was small.

"...I can do it, but as an adventurer, you can still operate without doing it. Especially for those who are beginners and are registering, I have never seen anyone who has done it before."

"If it's a concern on my side, it's okay. With yesterday's reward, I can live normally for a while, so it's convenient to have the right to be treated preferentially."

"I see... It will be in the form of Jin-san's nomination. Is there anyone who wants to make a contract? If someone has already made a contract, we will recommend another department."

Did they have the right to choose?

In the game, when they made a contract, the mob characters became their partners...

"In that case, I want to choose Fine-san because I know her face."

"Me?"

Fine-san stared at me with a dumbfounded expression as I spoke.

"Yes, I've been taken care of by Fine-san from registering as an adventurer to our first request, so if possible, I think Fine-san would be good."

"...I understand. I was also looking for a partner since I received permission to register as a partner the other day."

"That was perfect timing."

After that, Fine-san and I performed a "partner registration" and the contract was successfully concluded.

Now I have a dedicated receptionist.

By the way, a portion of the reward money on this side goes to the registered receptionist, but of course, their salary is paid separately, so only adventurers are affected by the actual disadvantages.

On the other hand, contracted receptionists become the exclusive staff of their contracted adventurers, so they do not have to stand at the reception desk except during busy times.

We moved to the consultation room that we could use.

"Now, this is my status."

There, I was trying to show Fine-san my status.

It wasn't written in the contract, but I found out that by showing my status to the receptionist who contracted with me, they would give me a job that suited me.

I hesitated to show my status to someone else.

But there was a clause in the contract that stated "the personal information of the contractor will not be disclosed without permission," so I decided to show my own status in the end.

Name: Jin

Age: 12

Race: Human

Status: Commoner

Gender: Male

Attribute: Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Light

Level: 31

Strength: 568

Magic: 1674

Luck: 76

Skills: [Appraisal: 2] [Abnormal Status Resistance: 2] [Swordsmanship: 3]

[Magic Strengthening: 3] [Fire Magic: 3] [Water Magic: 3]

[Magic Detection: 4]

Inherent: [Growth Acceleration] [Pocket Dimension Box]

Abilities:

Title: Child Prodigy, Blessed One

Blessings: Magic God's Blessing, War God's Blessing, Sword God's Blessing

After the recent massive hunting of orcs and boars, my level has gone up by about 3 and my ability values have slightly increased.

Normally, I wouldn't have gone up to the level of someone in their late twenties just from that.

Thanks to my inherent ability [Growth Acceleration], I was able to raise three levels even with that many kills.

"…Jin-san, who exactly are you?"

"What do you mean? I'm just an ordinary person. Well, I do have a former noble's background though."

"A former noble?"

"Yeah, I was a nobleman's child in this country until three days ago, but due to various reasons related to my birth, I was expelled."

When I said that, Fine-san let out a surprised "eh."

"Well, now I'm just an ordinary kid."

"Looking at this status, it's hard to believe that you're just an ordinary kid. If we only look at your level, you're almost on par with a silver-class adventurer..."

The term "Silver Class," or more accurately, "Silver-ranked Adventurer," refers to it.

The rank system for adventurers in this world is divided into six levels: Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze, Iron, and Wood. Platinum is the highest rank for adventurers, while Wood refers to beginner adventurers.

So when I, a Wood Class adventurer, told Fine-san that I was at a Silver Class level, she was not just surprised, but also stunned.
