Chapter 54 - V6C4

Volume 6, Chapter 4: Leaving the Battlefield

As the sun slowly set, the Wyverns finally flew towards us.

"Oh, what a relief! I was getting worried," I murmured.

Apollito, who was also shaken, breathed a sigh of relief and smiled.

"I'm sorry. That's why we can't stay here tonight," Aoi said to the elderly couple.

"We never imagined things would turn out like this," the elderly couple said, on the verge of tears.

"It's okay. We're dealing with powerful birds of prey, so it can't be helped," Aoi replied with a smile.

"Brother, how is the reconnaissance going?" I asked Apollito.

"There's no movement. It feels like about a thousand people are just keeping an eye on us from a distance," Apollito said, using his skill to scout.

"Perhaps they're just waiting for it to get dark?" Murasaki said, sounding worried.

"It's still the same as when we first saw them. No change in their movements at all, Brother," I asked again.

"Yeah, everything seems fine," Apollito replied, looking relieved as he observed the descending Wyvern.

No changes in their movements?

That's strange.

"Oh no, those thousand people are a decoy!" I exclaimed in panic.

"What?!" Apollito was surprised.

"Indeed, you are my future husband. It's wonderful that you noticed," a girl with a striking resemblance to Aoi stood up on the Wyvern.

"You are Mio, my sister!" Aoi shouted in anger.

"Hehehe, big sister. Don't monopolize all the delicious men," the girl laughed on top of the Wyvern.

She did resemble Aoi, but had a slightly younger and more boyish look.

The girl laughed heartily on the Wyvern.

"Don't joke around."

"It's okay, I'm only the second sister," Mio said.

She doesn't look anything like her, but is she trying to imitate Evangelion?

It's tiring.

"Who is she?" I asked Aoi for the time being.

"She's my sister, sharing the same mother," Aoi answered.

"I see, it's Kazanzakis-san again. Enough, stop crying," I sighed. I'm really fed up.

Why is Yamato's bloodline like this?

"Oh no! Brother! The people who were just observing are coming this way!" Apollito said anxiously.

"Huh?!"

Apollito was surprised.

"Don't worry, my lord. Out of the thousand, only thirty of us will be your opponents," a girl on another Wyvern laughed.

"You're Anna from Duke Ijuuin's place!" Aoi said.

"We have healers ready, so don't worry," Mio laughed.

"Wait, who will deal with the remaining nine hundred and seventy people?" Apollito trembled as he asked Mio.

"It's obvious that it will be you," she replied.

"Noooooooo! I'm gonna die! I'm gonna die!" Apollito screamed like a girl.

Is everything alright, Brother?

He seems to be breaking down.

"Don't worry. There are over a hundred Wyverns with healing magic," Mio shouted with a laugh.

Then, from the mountains, an incredibly fast Wyvern flew over.

The Wyvern itself was clad in red leather armor and wore a helmet with horns.

"Kuh, the Red Comet!" Mio clicked her tongue.

I don't understand anything anymore.

I feel like I'm going crazy.

Behind the Red Comet's Wyvern, a larger Wyvern arrived, and Princess Miyabi was on it.

"Hurry, get on this Wyvern. I'm on your side," Princess Miyabi landed her large Wyvern for us.

Meanwhile, the Wyvern clad in red armor approached the Wyverns carrying the birds of prey.

The Wyvern in red armor was incredibly fast.

"Let me show you the power of the Wyverns," Lieutenant Gerō, also known as Kunito, who was on the Wyvern in red armor, shouted.

Using the term "Wyvern" while saying, "Let me show you the performance of a Federation Mobile Suit," he might have partially broken free from Gerō's brainwashing.

One by one, the Wyverns clad in red armor knocked down the other Wyverns.

They came to help us. Let's stop calling them Gerō.

It's Lieutenant Gerō.

We all got on the large Wyvern brought by Princess Miyabi and fled the scene.

As we took off, the thousand birds of prey came rushing toward us.

Zombies, aren't they?

And fast zombies that I saw in a movie remake.

The Wyverns also tried to shoot down the red Wyvern with flames, but they couldn't hit it.

"If you can't hit it, there's no need to worry," Lieutenant Gerō said, dodging everything.

Huh, hasn't he recovered from the brainwashing yet?

Another line from Gerō.

I don't really understand.

Thinking that, we confirmed that the birds of prey couldn't chase us and flew away.
