Volume 3, Chapter 6: The Savior Was Not There
"Why? What happened?"
The king arrived on a sailboat as the prime minister and was at a loss.
The Duke of Saito, leader of the Royal Guards, guarded the sailboat to prevent anyone from boarding, including the entire guard.
However, the calls for a savior from outside the sailboat didn't cease.
"Why isn't the Savior coming down?"
"We came here to fight alongside the Savior to save the world."
"Please let us catch a glimpse of the Savior."
The popularity was incredible.
It had been nearly two months since that incident, with the sailboat's course still intact.
The actions of the Savior, which seemed like a self-sacrifice in Conchue, had caused an explosion of popularity.
"Well, you see, the Savior disappeared one night."
Princess Miyabi had an awkward expression on her face.
"Normally, we should search for them."
The king looked at everyone with a bewildered expression.
"What about Aoi?"
The prime minister asked, flustered.
"Maybe she went along with the Savior."
"What about Murasaki?"
"Well, you see, he removed his rank insignia from the deck, just like Lord Yuuki."
Lieutenant Yoshitaka replied weakly.
"What should we do? It would be bad if it becomes known that they're not here. Will the people turn into a mob?"
The king was completely agitated.
"No, even if it's the people, turning into a mob is..."
Princess Miyabi interjected.
"But the volunteer soldiers who gathered here have already exceeded 100,000."
The king slumped down.
"A hundred thousand!"
Princess Miyabi was astonished.
"If we gather soldiers who officially came from various countries, the number is twice as much."
The prime minister also replied with a troubled expression.
At that moment, Duke Mitaire, the southern general, rushed into the cabin where everyone had gathered on the sailboat.
"What's the matter, Duke Mitaire! I thought you returned to the southern headquarters!"
The king was surprised.
"No, I heard about this incident as an urgent matter and hurriedly returned."
"I see."
"Finally, the item I made when he became a colonel is going to be useful."
There, a mask of Shioa Azuk and a red armor were present.
"Let's use this to cover up his absence."
"Huh?"
The king's face twitched, but Duke Mitaire held up the helmet with pride and showed it to everyone.
"Look here. This part of the helmet..."
Proudly, Duke Mitaire showed them the horn-like protrusion at the tip of the helmet, resembling Shia Azac.
"This is what I insisted on."
With his chest puffed out, Duke Mitaire replied.
"You really are a fan of First Gundam, aren't you?"
"Well, it's just a mistake of youth."
"You're an old man."
The prime minister chimed in with a retort.
"I'm only four years older than you, so you have no right to say that," the Duke Mitaraire retorted to the Prime Minister.
At that moment, a masked woman entered the room.
"Can't you stop being an anime otaku already?" the suspicious masked woman said as she entered, causing the royal guards to draw their swords simultaneously.
"Hold on, don't kill them!" the king exclaimed, shouting at the masked woman, not the guards.
"I haven't killed anyone, so relax," the masked woman reassured them, and all the guards foamed at the mouth and fainted.
"What have you done?" Princess Miyabi shouted.
"Can't a mongrel like you stay quiet?" the masked woman glared at Princess Miyabi.
"Mongrel?" Princess Miyabi asked suspiciously.
"Uncle, maybe you should explain properly," she added.
"Well, let's not say that," the king said, looking completely troubled.
"Uncle? Who?" Princess Miyabi asked, sounding confused.
"It's me. I've killed many people for the sake of this country, and if I tell you my name, I won't be able to live a normal life afterward. Do you understand? It's tough for a pure-blooded deity," the masked woman spoke as if ridiculing Princess Miyabi.
"Deity?" Princess Miyabi asked.
"You might not need to know as a mongrel like you," the masked woman spoke condescendingly.
"Well, well, that's enough of that. More importantly, where is Yuuki?" the king intervened between the masked woman and Princess Miyabi.
"It's Patrida."
"Huh? Don't tell me, the Nikos family?" the surprised Prime Minister asked.
"Yes. They have already attacked and taken over Patrida's pirates single-handedly. They already have tens of thousands of soldiers."
"What the hell is going on?" the king exclaimed in astonishment.
"With Kazanzakis from the Nikos family backing them, they practically control the entire land of Patrida."
"Still as impressive as ever," the Prime Minister muttered.
"The problem is they're going to do something super."
"What the hell is he up to?" the king's face turned pale.
"He's giving up being the savior and becoming a merchant."
"What's that all about?"
"I want to know that too. But more importantly, isn't Aoi, the Prime Minister's niece, a mongrel?" the masked woman asked the Prime Minister.
"Aoi-chan is a mongrel, but don't call her that," the Prime Minister almost cried.
"This is strange."
"What's wrong?"
"That girl may have more power as a shrine maiden than me."
"What? That can't be true."
"But she's even controlling over a thousand sea serpents near those waters."
"Perhaps she might even control my familiars."
"That can't be..."
The prime minister was astonished.
"First of all, do you have any idea who my big brother is?"
"Eeeeeeeeeeeee!!"
The king and the prime minister shouted.
"Wait, who's this big brother?"
Princess Miyabi asked.
"It's an important discussion right now, so be quiet."
The masked woman answered without even glancing at Princess Miyabi.
Princess Miyabi tried to use her crest to shoot multiple fire bullets.
"Stop it, Miyabi!"
The king hurriedly shouted.
The masked woman smirked motionlessly and Miyabi's fire-based magic was canceled, causing Miyabi herself to be thrown against the wall.
"You know, there's no way you can match up to a pure-blooded divine being."
"Kuh."
"You, who couldn't even assist the most honorable big brother among the pure-blooded divine beings, are a failure. I might kill you next time."
The masked woman emitted an intense killing intent that made the place tremble.
Everyone fell silent.
"More importantly, old man, he used a pseudonym, but I know who my big brother is. I'm also in contact with Conchue. If things continue like this, they might appoint my big brother as the leader. If that happens, our side will split in half before
The masked woman looked troubled.
"Well, that's a problem."
"For now, even though my attempt at enhancing my big brother's combat failed last time, I intend to try it once more."
"...Understood. Please do."
As the masked woman turned on her heel to leave,
"Ah, wait!"
The king called out.
"Hey, what do you think we should do about the Savior?"
"How about we use the Sh*ah's mask and armor, just as Uncle Mitara suggested? Anyone can be inside."
"Still, it's Gundam, right?"
Duke Mitara seemed genuinely happy.
Upon hearing that, the masked woman sighed and left.
