Chapter 18 - A Diary's Secrets

Ember returned to her room, unable to contain the whirlwind of emotions within her. She impulsively buried her face in the softness of her pillow and let out a frustrated shout. "Why did I say that? How could I utter something so foolish when I don't even comprehend my own feelings?" The weight of the unspoken confession lingered in the room, leaving Ember in a state of perplexity.

As she sat up on her bed, thoughts raced through her mind like a turbulent storm. Marinette's name echoed, a perplexing puzzle piece in the larger picture of Adrien's life. Ember pondered why his father seemed to harbor such disapproval toward her and what transpired two years ago that cast a shadow over Adrien's interactions with girls. However, amidst the confusion, the crux of Ember's turmoil lay in her peculiar feelings for Adrien.

The new day dawned, a Monday on the calendar—November 24. Ember, a high school senior grappling with impending pre-board exams, found solace in burying herself in her studies. A week had passed since Ember and Adrien last communicated, their usual exchanges suspended.

Fast forward to the weekend night of Saturday, November 29. Ember had just finished dinner and was engrossed in her studies when fatigue overwhelmed her, leading her to doze off on her bed. Suddenly, a luminous glow emanated from the corner of her room, revealing Adrien's presence. Observing Ember asleep amidst her study materials, Adrien took it upon himself to create a comfortable space for her. He gently removed books and stationery, arranging them neatly, and covered her with a blanket. Sitting beside her, Adrien brushed a strand of hair away from her face, inadvertently noticing the necklace he had gifted her still adorning her neck. As he delicately removed it, Adrien couldn't help but observe the marks it had left.

In the process of searching for a first aid kit beneath her bed, Adrien's eyes fell upon a diary with a lock on it. Written prominently were the words, "It's mine, don't open it." Chuckling at the quaint precaution, Adrien discovered the key conveniently placed next to the diary. Succumbing to curiosity, he decided to read a few entries, apologizing softly to Ember for the intrusion.

Turning the pages, Adrien stumbled upon an entry that chronicled Ember's elation when he first called her—an unexpected connection that marked the beginning of a new chapter in her life," dear diary , today something unexpectable happen so, I decide to write it in you. I get a call , from Adrien. I know it is new name and I think a new chapter start from my life . He think I am an alien. So, weird I think ."

The middle of the diary,' dear diary, today I am in huge trouble. I don't know what to do and he called me today. I just cant express my feeling but when he say ," you can do anything you want . Just be yourself and everything be alright. If your plan doesn't work , change the plan and start with a new one . you next chapter is going to be amazing ".it revealed Ember's troubled moments and Adrien's words of encouragement, instilling confidence and support in her endeavors. " that was what I just wanted to hear. After that day I don't know but he become just like my family , I started share every single things of my life to him ". Over time, Ember began sharing every facet of her life with him, solidifying their bond.

Adrien, overwhelmed by the diary's revelations, closed it gently, pressing a kiss on Ember's forehead. Placing the diary back beneath her bed, he vanished into the same ethereal glow that brought him there. The room returned to a silent serenity, preserving the secrets and unspoken emotions that lingered between Ember and Adrien.
