They arrived in Paris, and the fashion show was in Mr. Agreste's garden, Adrien's father's garden. Adrien told Ember to stay in his room for a while, and he would come to pick her up when he was ready. He left her alone in the room. Ember, left alone, sat on Adrien's bed and observed that his room was mostly black, even the bedsheet. Standing up, she noticed a piano, a prominent feature in the room. After some exploration, Ember found Adrien's study table filled with fashion books.
"Why are there no science books?" she wondered aloud, finding it strange that there were no books related to Adrien's love for science and research. Despite knowing his interest in the subject, there wasn't a single science book.
She discovered a shelf full of picture books but noticed only one on the wall, beside Adrien's bed, featuring him with his mother. Ember's eyes were fixed on an old and dusty book. Wanting to take a closer look, she discovered that the shelves could slide, revealing a secret door. Before she could react, a flying cat, more mouse-sized, approached her and said, "Hello, Ember." Startled, Ember rushed to the door to find Adrien.
When she opened the door, Adrien was standing in front of it, as if he had just returned and was about to open the door. Ember looked at him for a moment, then embraced him tightly. Adrien patted her hand to comfort her, and they didn't notice the staff members watching. Adrien made eye contact with them, silently signaling them to be quiet.
He walked slowly, still embracing Ember, to his room and closed the door. "Come down, Ember," Adrien said, and Ember composed herself, looking at Adrien. He smiled and pointed, "This is Plagg, my friend, and a robot I created."
Ember looked back at Adrien, asking, "Seriously?" Adrien nodded, and she continued, "How does he know my name?" Adrien replied, "I told him." They didn't realize they were too close until a knock on the door interrupted them. "Sir, it's time for your entry," someone called.
"Okay, I'm coming," Adrien replied, and both Adrien and Ember looked at each other, realizing they were too close. They stepped back, and Adrien told Plagg to close the door and return inside. Ember still couldn't believe the cat-like creature was a robot created by Adrien.
Adrien extended his hand to Ember, saying, "Will you be my partner tonight?" Ember smiled at his playful behavior and teased, "Don't you think it's a bit late to be asking?" Seeing the dejected look on Adrien's face, she stopped teasing and said, "But I'll accept it." Ember smiled, taking Adrien's hand.
They both smiled and headed to the entrance door. Adrien advised Ember to take a deep breath, noticing her nervousness. Ember, usually shy and only hanging out with family and a few friends, was attending such an event for the first time. She smiled back at Adrien.
The door burst open, and they walked through the garden. On the way, paparazzi stood to take photos of the arriving guests. As they walked the red carpet, whispers spread about Ember and Adrien looking good together. Ember looked like a model, and since Adrien was a star guest, many photos were taken of him.
Feeling uncomfortable in the spotlight, Ember whispered to Adrien that she'd wait for him, not wanting to be part of the photo session. Adrien convinced her to agree to just one photo, which he had taken discreetly by a paparazzi before allowing Ember space for a solo photo.
After the photo session, Adrien attended to the guests with Ember by his side, providing short details about each one. The show began, and the announcer called everyone to gather. Adrien took Ember to VIP seats and instructed her to sit while he checked the preparations backstage. A few minutes passed, and a guy approached Ember sitting in the front seat.
"Hello, beautiful lady," he greeted. Ember, not wanting to talk to strangers, didn't respond. He shifted to Adrien's seat, saying, "Excuse me, I'm talking to you." Still uninterested, Ember didn't reply. The guy persisted, "I don't think I know you, but I believe you're a new model in the industry. I think I can help you."
Ember replied, "I don't know you, and I don't want to talk to you. Can you leave? And This is not your seat." The guy continued, "Don't be like that. I've noticed how beautiful you are and how you carry yourself. I've been watching you from the start."
"So what?" Ember said, trying to leave, but he held her hand. Despite her efforts to free herself, she lacked the strength. A called out, "Hello, uncle!"
