Chapter 20 - 020 Wedding Night

After dinner, Lucy volunteered to do the dishes, knowing that in order for the household to run smoothly, one person couldn't be responsible for everything.

As soon as she finished washing up, Samuel handed her a small package.

Lucy carefully unwrapped the blue parcel to find all the vanishing creams and soaps she had seen in town earlier that day. Samuel must not have known which types she used, so he bought several of each.

Her eyes moistened as she realized how thoughtful Samuel was. He's usually cold and uncommunicative, but all his tenderness is shown through his actions.

Lucy held back her tears, pouted, and said to Samuel, "Who told you to waste money on these? I still have some of them at home." But I could make even better ones myself.

She didn't say the last part, uncertain about how Samuel would react due to her lack of start-up funds. Lucy planned to discuss the matter with him later.
